Yesterday, McDermott was asked about Allen's INT and he said Allen got fooled, but "we're going to have to trim some of the fat off that route" run by Kelvin Benjamin. Well, the Bills just trimmed that fat.

I'm not a Clay fan, but that kind of throw is about as difficult to gauge as any on the field. It's easier for a receiver to gauge a ball as he's running at an angle from the throw, and/or running in the same direction as the throw or perpendicular to it. Coming straight back to a fluttering ball from a QB with a howitzer for an arm, well, it's really not at all surprising that Clay misplayed it some. Should he have caught it? Probably. But I understand why he didn't.

I started a few threads before and during the draft castigating the Bills for this pick. It says a lot that I'm actually nodding my head at the OP and going, "yeah, I can see that happening."

Man, on the 2nd to last pas to Zay, Jones got mugged...but of course, no call. And I noticed on the long bomb to Foster, Allen was in a sliver of sun while the rest of the field was in shadow - could of messed with his depth perception and how far to throw the ball.

Zay was open all over the field today. Kid is just getting better and better.
