I want Alex Smith here. He’s much better then people realize. He would be the perfect fit for the offense I feel we want to run. Bradford is good but he’s hurt way to much.

I disagree with most. The expectations are what makes you a bust. Of that list, none of them outside of Mike Williams, were expected to be what EJ was expected to be. Maybe Maybin but a QB is a totally different animal. If you are the first QB taken in a draft, you better be decent. Ej has the footwork of a middle school qb. Can’t throw the same pass twice. Among the worst QBs in the nfl including backups. No reason for that guy to has been taken before round 4. No other team would have taken him anywhere near round 1. He set our team back 3 years and probably caused Marrone to opt out.

That makes no sense. Buddy was the buffoon that took a 4th round qb in round 1 and before any other qb in the draft. The guy took a top 3 bust in Bills history at the top of a draft.

Forced out by Kap. That was the dumbest thing the 49ers ever did. To this day, I will never not feel like the 49ers beat the Ravens if Alex Smith starts. Kapernicks first half is why Joe Flacco has a ring. That Ravens team is the single worst team that I have ever seen, that won a super bowl. No way to know for sure but I bet you Smith doesnt lose that game.

If we get Smith, I don’t need another guy. peterman is young and can develop. Use the picks to fill the roster in around Alex Smith. He came out of the same draft as Rogers. These guys have plenty of time left.

If I was allowed to make decisions for this team from now until may plan A is so whatever it takes to sign Cousins plan B is trade for Alex Smith plan C is trade up to 1 or 2 and take Darnold I expect none of these things to actually occur

The fun part of this offseason is there are probably 20-30 possible guys that could be out starting QB. It’s wild to think about.

I think there are a few nice ideas that could potentially be trade targets. For once, I actually trust the judgment of the guys in charge. Whoever they like I am probably on board with. In no particular order -Dalton -Mccarron -Alex Smith -Foles -Luck (dreaming probably) -Eli -Glennon (not as a guaranteed starter) -Rivers (Lynn may want his own guy that can move) -Cam (we are basically the panthers north, new ownership may want a new face and attitude) -Winston (Maybe the coach wants a more consistent qb in his last stand as HC) some of these are much much less realistic then others, but it’s the NFL. These teams overvalue draft picks to a disgraceful degree. You can probably get 99% of the players in the league for a first. It’s strange.

Yeah that’s true too. Although I’m pretty sure every time he started except year 2 of Jets was because of injury as well. If IK didn’t punch geno in the face, Fitz was the back up. I loved Fitz. I probably fought more battles in support of fitz on the BBMB, then anyone. Those teams were losing because Chan Gailey was the worst HC in football and we had the worst defenses in Bills history. If Fitz has our 17 roster, we could have been good. I would probably take him back for 1 more year while a rookie learns.

If we are not going up to get one of the 2 or so legit top guys, don’t even bother drafting a qb. No more of the 6th, 7th etc best qb in these drafts. Either go up and get Darnold or Mayfield/Rosen or just get a veteran. Pay Cousins. Enough of these games with trying to force average backups as franchise QBs. When was the last time a QB we had on the roster for a few years, went anywhere else and started? The only one was Cassel and it was because of injury.

It’s the “cool” thing to do right now to talk bad about the NFL. Football is still by far my favorite thing to watch abd I watch every second of every game that I can. I wish the season was longer. If other people choose not to watch, that’s fine. It’s their choice. I still love it. I bet most of the people that are most vocal about “why they don’t watch now.” Probably barely watched before. People pull the same **** with NASCAR. In one sentence they say how they “don’t watch because it’s so boaring.” Then they tell you how there hasn’t been any good racing in NASCAR for years...how do you know if you just said you aren’t watching? That’s what America does. If you are successful, a large group of people will get frustrated and find ways to tear you down. It’s sad really. “Ratings are down” yet a preseason NFL game gets better ratings then playoff games in other sports.

I will give it to him that unlike almost every other qb the Bills have had in here for the last 10 years...I don’t feel like he has been either figured out or maxed out potentialwise 3 or 4 weeks into his career. JP Losman was terrible. Trent was pretty much at his best early on then defenses figured him out. I was completely disgusted and done with EJ after week 3 of his rookie year. Tyrod is probably the same exact guy today as he was in his first start against the Colts. At least going into this year, I still have some hope for Peterman. I don’t think he will be good, but I don’t already know he won’t be. When it comes to a Bills qb, thats a win in my book

Peterman could still end up being good. It’s going to work out pretty nicely that we made the playoffs AND still somehow got to work this guy into real game action. He started and won a must win game against the colts after the terrible Chargers game. Maybe this guy will always turn the ball over and maybe he will never amount to anything. But in comparison to the rookies coming out, this guy has a year in Buffalo, has some valuable NFL game experience..you never know. I don’t want him to be handed the job but I want him in the competition for it. Certainly at worst, he is probably a backup that we can have confidence in.

I am intrigued by this whole idea. If I was Vince the first places I would go to for the franchises, are NFL franchises that no longer exist. How cool would it be for the xfl to have the Houston Oilers? Just the same color scheme, same logos. Try and recapture any left over fans of that team. Then maybe the St Louis Rams. Same deal. Try and catch that fan base that is now left with no team. San Diego Chargers? I’m sure somehow their are naming rights issues but there would almost have to be some way around that. Just an idea.
