  1. The interest by the Bills is probably meaningless seeing how we would be his fourth choice of landing spots just in our division alone.....but I think it might give some insight into the FO's thinking about the draft. I think we might be one step closer to Aaron Maybin. Taylor and Maybin are built almost exactly the same and Maybin projects to have the same type of impact. I think Maybin might be the pick.
  2. I would rather go with Duke Robinson at guard with our second round pick. The guy is simply dominant run blocking and more than adequate in pass blocking. He sustains blocks and puts a good percentage of his opponents on their back or drives them downfield. We need to hold onto Peters and give him the money....D-line first round (tackle or end) and then the best available interior lineman in second round. Tight end and pass rush specialist in third and fourth. simple
  3. Trade Peters for Eagles #21 and #28 11 Jenkins (to play FS) 21 Oher or Andre Smith (RT) 28 Michael Johnson 43 Duke Robinson 75 Alex Magee 106 Brandon Williams 139 Cornelius Ingram 170 Kory Sheets 202 John Parker Wilson Sign Crowell and if cheap enough Keiaho or June
  4. I think we need Mike Peterson's aggressive style in the middle. Admittedly 33 years of age is about when LB's start losing a step but I think he has 2 good years left and moving Poz outside would be better for his career. We improve two positions with one move. Let's get this deal done. Can't believe we missed on Sean Jones. Another aggressive player who would have brought some balls to this defense.
  5. This is ridiculous! They got him on a one year deal.....no interest from the Bills? I know it's not a huge need but this guy was severely undervalued because of a knee injury that he supposedly will be 100% from. Wake up front office!
  6. ESPN News just had a breakdown that showed the list of teams that told Mortensen they weren't interested. Every team found their way onto the list except...........Oakland and Tennessee
  7. Cato June, Pat Thomas, Mike Peterson, Kevin Jones, and Deshaun Foster are not guys that are in high demand. Out of all those guys I would think that Peterson is the only one we would really have to make a semi-competitve offer to. June, Thomas, Jones, and Foster will have little or no impact on our cap in my opinion. The one thing that has held this team back is lack of depth to deal with the injuries we have suffered. These visits are a great sign that the Bills are interested in building real depth. June would cost just a little more than Ellison and be a hell of a lot better. I can deal with Digiorgio, Bowen, and June as depth at LB. Put Peterson in the middle and slide Pos to OLB. We already have good depth at DB. These moves would not prevent us from pursuing bigger moves such as Coles, Waters, or possibly even Sean Jones. FA WISH LIST COLES WATERS (trade Parrish and 5th) PETERSON JUNE KEVIN JONES SEAN JONES DRAFT EVERETTE BROWN ZIGGY HOOD SHAWN NELSON ERIC WOOD/ANTOINE CALDWELL That would be a pretty complete football team.
  8. Cato June should come real cheap. He only really fits the cover two scheme and we are one of three teams running the cover two.
  9. here is the link, its a blog from Palm Beach Post. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thedailydol...veranues-coles/
  10. As much as Chad Pennington would love to have former Jets teammate Laveranues Coles in Miami, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. According to an NFL source, the Dolphins don’t perceive Coles as the No. 1 receiver they’ve been seeking and aren’t likely to pursue him in free agency. Buffalo seems to be a better fit for Coles, where he would complement a true No. 1 guy in Lee Evans. Coles visited Buffalo Friday but there has been no more talk of visits since then. Calls to his agent, Roosevelt Barnes, on Sunday went to voice mail and were not returned. The Daily Dolphin // Source: Dolphins likely to pass on Laveranues Coles
  11. A move like this tells me the Bills think they are a playoff team next year. You don't bring a guy like this in if you are just trying to appease fans. Most fans won't get excited about this possible move but this would be a huge upgrade over Dockery. Hope we get it done! Tell him to bring his buddy Tony with him.....
  12. Bills | Interested in acquiring Waters Sun, 01 Mar 2009 12:04:25 -0800 Pat Moran, of Scout.com, reports the Buffalo Bills are interested in trading for Kansas City Chiefs OG Brian Waters, according to source.

  15. That will drop him to the second round. This guy has bust written all over him. Jared Cook fellas.....check out his combine numbers. Shawn Nelson is another good option. He had a good week at Senior Bowl, was very productive in college, and had a nice combine so far.
  16. I have been saying all along that Vilma should be our #1 free agent target. He would be a great fit for the WLB. Coverage skills are unmatched even though he has been playing MLB. Impact hitter and playmaker that covers a lot of ground. This is the type of player that would allow Buffalo to solidify the position for several years and would come in and immediately upgrade the defense.

  18. I will get hammered for this post but the guy I would like to see Buffalo go after is...........DAVID CARR
  19. Most times the over/under ends during the completion of the fourth quarter. I know it's that way for college and most books use it for pros too.
  20. You take the two points because punts and punt returns are unpredictable and you can't assume the field position difference would be 20-30 yards. The safety is important because a touchdown on top of that gives you a field goal cushion if the other team has time to respond.
  21. As I look at all the changes the Pats must withstand, I question whether they will bounce back next year. Reports of Brady not being healthy for 2009, Pioli jumping ship, and Mcdaniels leaving for Denver gives me reason to think the Pats might need a couple of years to rebuild. They still have an aging defense, an aging star receiver, a QB that is in limbo, and no real identity at RB. Jets are a team in disarray.... Sophmore slump for Miami? I am always optimistic but I think the Bills may have at least a fighters chance if we can get the front office to spend some smart money in the offseason. Sometimes the best season's come at unexpected times....Let's hope this group can rally and surprise us all.
  22. Dunbar and Grant are two guys that I would take a good look at. Dunbar was a great college player, not sure how his game translates to the NFL.
  23. On the WIVB website there is a clip from Paul Peck saying that a Bills source confirmed that the Bills are interested and are willing to give up the necessary picks to get him. If this report is accurate it is very significant. It tells us that KC is satisfied with the Bills offer but will wait to see if any late bidders come calling. It could also indicate that KC is waiting on Gonzalez to decide if he wants to go to buffalo. All along the Chiefs said they would act out of respect for their franchise player. I was skeptical about this deal and NFL trades usually do not happen in season but if this report is accurate I give it a better than 50% chance of happening.
  24. Velasco signed with Tenn. I agree we should be bringing in numbers at the OL positions. Let them compete.
