If at the right price, I do think Taylor provides the ideal mentor qualities to pass on: protect the football, be a leader, work hard, be humble. In addition, let's say the rookie we draft surpasses him and earns the starting role at some point - is Taylor not a top-notch wildcat/backup/trick-play QB who could still be used somewhat regularly in the offense?

Of the 67,164 seats at Everbank, I think we'll see about 40,000 Bills fans; 20,000 people wearing Jags gear wondering what the hubub is about; and 100-250 tarps. Wonder if we offered half that if he would agree to quit on Sunday...

Based on current records, I believe our two 1sts and two 2nds would just about equal the 3rd overall pick, held by the Colts, who I believe would be our target trade partners if we believe Darnold and Rosen are going 1 and 2 and also that the guy ranked QB3 is franchise-QB-material. Given their poor O-line play, I bet we could retain a 2nd round pick and instead include Glenn. There is also the possibility of adding a 2nd or 3rd round pick from 2019. Re: the bold, yeah, I really doubt that is why.

I believe a group from Nashville, but not certain. Where will "us" be? Lot X? I remember really really wanting Ngakoue in the draft.

I think I can speak for every single poster here in saying that we need to give sweeps and screens to Tolbert early and often.

Welcome to SwagJag, and thanks for being informative and classy. I do have to agree with those who say their disrespect comes from the tarps. Respectfully, I think it is tough for one struggling team's fanbase that sells out games in losing and middling seasons not to feel that way when another struggling team's fanbase seemingly does not show up or roams around the stadium when they do. No ill will meant by it. Either way, we're both struggling teams' fanbases. So cheers to a different look in the playoffs, if nothing else! Still, I hope we trounce you guys.

Keep Taylor and blow that draft pick load. Unload Taylor once the rookie is ready, which will hopefully be before the trade deadline and right when another team sustains a QB injury and becomes desperate, or ideally after he shows he has surpassed him in the offseason.

IMHO, the only comfortable win is when we're up with 00:00 on the clock.

I hear you. I also think seeing what McD can do with under the radar pick-ups like Hyde, Poyer, Gaines, and Yarbrough, as well as a late round pick like Milano, I am less worried about stocking up the D. I also doubt trading up for a QB would cost all of our picks. We could probably still retain a 2nd and/or our 3rd, plus then we still have a 4th, two 5ths, and our 7th. I also anticipate Glenn being a piece included in a potential trade-up offer. That said, I do hope we invest heavily into the D-line, so long as it is not at the expense of drafting a QB prospect who OBD likes.

Great read, as usual! Re: Taylor, I think he is the perfect bridge QB and am for keeping him another year. I want him teaching our rookie QB how to (a) protect the football, (b) work hard, and (c) be a humble leader. However, I disagree in that, if OBD thinks a QB in the draft is a franchise-type prospect, then they 100% should trade whatever is needed to get that guy.
