  1. Yeah I'd say it's about as disingenuous as touting our regular season record as proof of good coaching and our playoff record as proof of bad GMing
  2. I don't see why this is so controversial Unless you're arguing that the lack of postseason success is because of Allen (good luck w that), or that a roster that dominates the regular season but mysteriously falls apart in the playoffs is somehow Beane's fault (tenuous)...what are we realistically left to look at
  3. Solid B for me Got the most important position right...some misses in the draft (w not insignificant -ev capital investment at RB) and a few questionable contracts but reasonable pro personnel moves and seems to have a decent feel for finding late round contributors particularly at wideout Would be interested to see how he'd fare w a staff that prioritized offense
  4. You think Allen was the 9th best QB in the league last year? Seriously?
  5. You think the Bengals third string interior OL is better than Ed Oliver? You honestly believe Joe Mixon is actually a 5ypc guy when he averaged 3.8 in the regular season?
  6. I think the Bengals are a perfect example of getting more out of less I certainly don't think they have a better roster than us. Allen is better than Burrow, their wideouts are great but outside that I wouldn't swap rosters over the last 3 seasons.
  7. Look at the comment above this one^^ You have a guy who legitimately blames the GM for players losing one-on-one battles in the playoffs I give up. If this is truly your take there is no scenario where we can find fault w coaching.
  8. So McDermott developed all those guys but Oliver's failure belongs to Beane? How does this even make sense Beane found Allen. What's McDermott's equivalent success?
  9. So your contention is that these divisional round exits have been...McDermott overperforming...w bad rosters? I think that's borderline laughable I give him a lot of credit for having spectacular regular season results. Postseason when it counts the team outside QB plays well below expectations
  10. Man at some point you have to figure it out Oliver is a top10 pick at DT. Make it work ffs Rousseau is a first round pick w all the tools. If you can't develop him into some kind of effective pass rusher then what good are you? Ditto Epenesa but less so
  11. So many ways to refute this but I'd start by asking if your argument is that the only avenue to perform at expectation is your relative roster strength, because it seems to follow then that your HC doesn't matter/isn't very good ...except we know that teams do in fact beat other more talented/better rostered teams all the time. We saw it last year when the Chiefs beat the Niners and Ravens....or when the Bucs beat the Eagles...or when the Packers beat the Cowboys...also the year before when the Chiefs beat the Eagles in the Super bowl, or the year before that when the Bengals beat the Chiefs in the acfcg. Happens all the time If you prefer to say our coaching is capped by the strength of our roster knock yourself out. I just don't see how that's anything but an admission we have an entirely disposable staff
  12. Never understood that nickname tbh He's never been in the top10 of fg% Bass is an objectively mediocre placekicker
  13. No I don't because like I said, I see very little of his influence on the Buffalo Bills roster and operations I think he has pretty much given Beane and McDermott the greenlight to do whatever they want
  14. I think the fortunes of this team have very little to do w Pegula's influence on roster
  15. keni-h lovely cannot be a real person
  16. ^^Guaranteed these people at this exact same time last year were saying Diggs throwing a fit and storming out was no big deal and meant nothing 100% guarantee it
  17. His most significant injury occured out of the pocket tackling a guy who picked him off. It's very well known. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/cam-newton-says-2016-shoulder-injury-affected-him-for-years
  18. 'im not trying to gaslight you here' is priceless lmfaoo😂😂😂 you win
  19. Actually at the time of this post only four people have agreed with you. 10 people gave you thumbs up and 75% of those are just because they saw a lot of words and assumed you had made a salient point. Six people gave you the beer emoji because they're either drunk or trying to catfish you. The rest disagree.
  20. I was joking but yes 100%. Allen's motion was what I liked about him once we drafted him, it was a little long but not wasted motion that couldn't be corrected and stay powerful/repeatable Now guys like Lamar can make it work but it's still not an efficient release plus I think it puts more pressure on your elbow
  21. It's also worth mentioning skill players in this offense are going to have outsize TD numbers relative to their actual talent...which is how Dawson Knox found himself among top TEs for touchdowns two years ago If you go by the traditional yards measurement you bring in more guys above Davis
  22. Luckily terrible lower body footwork can be overcome Terrible upper body footwork however... that's a different story
  23. Whether Beane/McDermott is responsible for this year's result kind of misses the point imo I believe Allen's floor is minimum wildcard round... unfortunately we've seen our ceiling and it's well short of the super bowl, with good rosters and lesser ones. Basically Allen establishes our baseline and the coaches/FO cap it.
  24. If you're talking about the 13second game Allen should get credit for that, he took out one himself😂😂
