  1. I have been looking in on some other games while watching the Bills. 2 observations...Big Ben is really done, isn't he? I've seen a couple of his passes today and they barely had a spiral on it. He is getting about 5 yards per COMPLETION right now also. And Mac Jones. Hes not playing BAD, but I don't know yet why the New England Media thinks he is their savior. He just doesn't throw the ball more than 10 yards in the air. MAYBE he is really good, but there is no way of knowing it from what anyone has seen so far.
  2. We can enjoy the game AND think about the future at the same time. Its called mental multi-tasking. It can be a fun exercise. As I said in my previous post, you are the one that needs the 'settle down francis'. How about letting people enjoy the game and the win the way they want to. The simple fact that the post I was replying to was a person who was complaining about HOW other fans were enjoying the win proves that. Take your own advice, you are the one that needs to settle down and not worry about how others view the game and enjoy the win.
  3. Ok, just because we don't enjoy the game that way YOU do doesn't mean we can't enjoy a win. You know who is soft? The Bills fan just looks at the scoreboard against a mediocre Miami team and sees 35-0 and things everything is well. THOSE are the fans who are soft. Part of being a fan for many of us is that we want to look forward to games against better teams than we beat already. We WANT to think of ways the team can be better than it is. Just because we don't fall in line behind the way YOU want us all to be fans doesn't make any of us soft. It just means we are different. If anything, maybe BETTER fans because we can enjoy a win but want the team to keep getting better and better. The biggest bunch of babies on this forum are those that complain about other fans of the team and how we choose to be fans. "you aren't enjoying the game the way I do...WHAA WHAA!" "You are saying bad and mean things about the team I love! Whaa! Whaa!" Accept that people can be fans differently than you are and get over it. Take your own advice and stop being miserable. ENJOY the win without getting pissed at other people who watch and enjoy the game in a different way.
  4. I'm not, nor was I ever 'on the ledge', but I still have concerns and think this team needs a pretty good amount of work if they want to compete with/beat the Bucs, Chiefs, maybe even the Pats/Dallas. Not everyone who wasn't 100% overjoyed that they beat up on a mediocre Dolphins team is 'on the ledge'. And that also doesn't mean we can't enjoy a win. But many of us like to look forward just as much as we do look back.
  5. That does not make the Dolphins one of the best D-units in the league, which is what I responded to.
  6. LOL, if that is the best you have you better watch a lot more football and come at me with something better.
  7. Haters going to hate? that must be something you just say when you are wrong and have nothing else to say. Guess what it doesn't mean anyone is a 'hater' just because you say it. And they are ranked 6th in what way? Points? Yards? Dvoa? there are a lot of ways to rank a D-unit. You don't allow as many points as they do in big games and so many yards to a rookie with being a top d-unit. You just don't. Get out of here with the 'haters going to hate' bull.
  8. NFL officiating is getting pretty much like NHL officiating. The officials have some strange formula in their head to determine if it was a penalty...a bit of what the actual rule is, a bit of what it 'looked like', a bit of if someone got hurt or not (even if it was a clean play) and a bit of pure randomness.
  9. Not if you have actually watched the game. OL had breakdowns (that can be corrected), a few mis-communications on routes with Allen, and some misfires by Allen. They made the most of some of their opportunities, but there certainly is work to be done to be better against a good team.
  10. No, they are not. The Pats led by a rookie QB put up almost 400 yards on them last week. Last year they allowed over 30 points 5 times. The Bills (mostly backups) put up over 50 on them in a game that was important to Miami. Those things just don't happen to a Defense that is one of the best in the NFL.
  11. to the box score watchers, it makes Allen's day look a bit better.
  12. Again, many of us want to talk about more than just the scoreboard. W and L's matter, but that and that only make a boring forum. Its not about being haters.
  13. Its not about being a hater. On a play to play basis, there are things that are a 'miss' with this offense. Pointing that out and having a discussion about it are what a lot of fans do. Putting your head in the sand about all other issues of the game and just looking at the scoreboard is something a lot of us want to do more than.
  14. It 'looks' like 1 of 2 things: -He has a minor injury he is trying to play through -he just isn't standing as 'fearless' in the pocket as he did last year. Last year he stepped into almost every throw and was willing to risk a big hit to make a play. This year he as 'happy feat' a lot more and is throwing off his back foot a lot more. Terrified behind this OL? Or not as fearless now that he has his big contract?
  15. Good, not great. I need to really REALLY reserve the 'great' label until after we see them play well against a QB that is in the top 20 in the league. Through to 2 games this D-unit has faced an over-the-hill Roethelisberger, a Tua who shouldn't even be a starter, and a (pretty much) career backup in JB.
  16. I think others have brought up, there are rumblings he was looking for a lot more money. The Bills just wanted a 'decent' guy who wouldn't screw up to much for a lower cost.
  17. For me to have my concern alleviated about this offense, I need to see 1 or 2 more drives like that the rest of this game.
  18. This OL is too bad at run blocking to support a heavy running game. If the D even thinks for a moment the Bills are going to a running offense and they bring ANYONE else closer to the Line of Scrimmage, that OL doesn't support any kind of running game against most D-units.
  19. Its early, we know, but Mac Jones had a much better completion percentage (and looked better) against this same Miami D as Allen does today, And through the half against Pittsburgh IN Pittsburgh the Raiders passing game is doing better than the Bills did last week.
  20. Not sure what you mean by 'you guyz' There were a handful of 'very loud' fans who said the Bills should run more, but the vast majority of what I read was fine with the Bills throwing as much last week. A handful of people wanting the Bills to run more does not make a whole forum.
  21. Despite having 2 tds this week through the half, I think it is both. The OL is below average, but Allen looks off. Is it that he is aware the OL is so bad he is getting a bit nervous back there and that is leading to bad throws/decisions. It looks like it to the casual eye.
  22. He's not having a very good game for the 2nd week in a row (so far). So its not OK to say that or level any criticism of him?? I have not said a bad word about his play up until now, but there isn't anything wrong with doing that if he isn't having a good game.
  23. I don't 'avoid' it, but it is frustrating. I usually tend to look at an outcome of any situation/situations and think of things in an "Occam's razor" type of way. In the Bills loss to the Steelers, to me that meant simply "the Offensive line is bad and they played bad". All other outcomes result from that point, as that is the dominant point. The "Josh had a terrible game and has regressed", the "Dabol should be demoted", "run Singletary a lot more", all those other explanations can seem like there is something behind them, but they may or may not even be the answer. Of course, this is a message board, if we all agreed on the primary reason for a loss and there was no discussion, it would be a boring place and I would avoid it even more for lack of ANY discussion.
  24. agreed. It doesn't happen all that often...until it happens more often. If the Bills are a very good team/the best team, they are likely to win...if they aren't good they won't. the placement of games and who you play on the schedule/matchups is mostly random.
  25. If you don't think the offensive line is average at best and probably below average you aren't watching. Last year they could hardly open holes for the running backs even when the defense was playing nickel often. And as far as pass blocking, Alan only got a lot of time on a regular basis against the worst defensive units they played. Against the rest of the teams he at best had to use his mobility to give him that extra second or two to complete a pass, and at worst he really had no time at all. Go back and look at some of the games from last year and actually pay attention to the offensive line. It's the same guys this year I don't see how you can't see they are the team's weakness.
