I agree with the overall premise that Both need to be effective. However in today’s NFL I contend passing is more important. I know we have led league in Rushing multiple times when we didn’t make the playoffs. We also had very good defenses with those rushing teams. Guess what we didn’t do? We didn’t win. when was the last time we have had a dynamic passing game and I can point to you the last playoff win.

now the Biggest Myth in football is you have to be able to run the ball for Play Action to be effective. nope was saying that is what McD and Daboll do. The matchup says pass they pass. They don’t dictate they react.
