I am fine putting Allen under center and running play action. Need to get Two new OGs to do it more effectively. And you don’t need a running game for PA to work. beasley is done showing his age. Sanders is done showing his age. Have Davis also needs to be on the field more than 20% of the snaps. He can bring the blocking Harry does for NE but also unlike Harry be a threat to catch the Ball. again pointing to build and coaching decisions. Why was McKenzie and Stevenson inactive. Man that speed would have been useful with some misdirection on a slick field. i do also agree that the OL needs an overhaul. bottomline you are not fixing the OL this season. So to keep slamming your head into it is going to cost this team. YOU CANNOT RUN. Fix it in the offseason and Do what you can do and that is let Allen sling it and run it.

I wonder why? When you listen to McD after this game it could be forced. He has made it KNOWN how much he wants to run the ball. where is the 2020 stagnant offense as you claim. McD is only a couple games over .500. That is my logic and he has regressed in all aspects of HC this year. But hey he ended the drought but that goodwill is gone for me.

I understand this statement. I am the same. I want the modern offense and if we go back to a Run First run heavy offense and play defense wanting to win games 17-14. With a Stud 1/4B QB. I am done with McD and will be calling for his job.

How many designed QB runs in the RedZone (this year and last night)? How about calling a game in line with your players Skills?

I havent rally made a thread about a game at all this season, and while I have commented in a couple places about my thoughts, this game really sticks with me, even more than the Tenn or Even the Jax game mainly because it did push me finally to losing confidence in the coaching staff, I will address each. I will start off with yes if there was better execution even with this gameplan and spineless coaching Bills would have won, Knox drops, Diggs Drop comes to mind. Let me start with McD: I just think he has regressed this year. I thought about all his talk in the offseason about running, and needing to be more balanced, and got worried that we would see McConservative again, and that is exactly what I have started to see this season. But I will point out a couple things. He coached scared, not to lose, spineless, whatever you want to call it. When you allowed Josh to throw it finally in the 4th QTR (mind you against the wind) he was still effective, Almost like you said the reasons you drafted him was for games like this. When you talk before halftime with a statement like "we need to run better, we cannot rely on Allen's arm" or something along those lines tells me all i need to hear. You have a Stud QB and you want to take the ball out of his hands. That is inexcusable, people ask about the Bills identity on offense, it is the same as it was last year, the offense runs through Allen. To make that offense run through him while putting handcuffs on him is inexcusable. This teams identity is muddled because the HC made it that way. He coached scared the entire game, a couple things on that: If you were so scared of the wind, why not call more timeouts, run the no huddle and maximize your time with the wind? Why is it that too many times this year have we waited until after the half or even the 4th (while behind) have we seen the Bills say screw it we are throwing all over (like last year). The team was Built to still run the offense they are built for in all conditions, but the coaching staff gets scared in bad weather. That is on McD. Also all the stuff I will say with Fraiser and Daboll are also on McD as he is the HC and the buck stops with him on everything coaching. Oooo also your player management this season has SUCKED. Inexcusable you have McKenzie AND Stevenson inactive (man that speed on misdirection and in the passing game would have been nice on a questionable footing day). This far into the season and Davis is still playing only spot duty and blocks more than he is in routes, Sweeney playing at all. My biggest complaint with you is where is your creativity anymore, I am sick of Moss, Brieda or Singletary running right into the Backs of OGs all game long, there is absolutely zero creativity in your run game. Actually all your creativity in the offense is gone. In a game like this why isn't there more run Calls with Allen? Speaking of that where have the Run calls with Allen gone in the red zone. There is a reason he sits alone in the NFL being the first QB with 90+ Passing TDs and 25+ rushing TDs in his first 4 season. You take a weapon away from the Bills in the redzone with your predictability and again those runs over the OGs. TBH I am ready for you to move on to a HC job already. You got all these weapons on the outside, went and got Sanders and the offense playcalling has regressed. Fraizer: Though you have been getting pretty high praise at times this season you should with all those high end picks on that defense. However it was clear last night the Pats were not going to throw the ball why not bring a 5th DL on the field? I also know the defense has gotten fat on BU QBs and bad football teams. Still cannot control the run game, and to be honest I do not put that all on you because easiest way to get a team out of running it all day long is SCORE. I still am not 100% sure if this is your defense or McDs, but I will also say at this point it is the least of the problems, just this game really irked me because the Patriots were not going to pass they didnt want to expose "Mr ROTY" to some wind, on a side note, that tells me a TON about what patriots think of Jones. This game would have been over easily and we would be talking about a Win and back in the Lead of the AFCE if McD and Daboll didnt coach like spineless cowards. If the entire game was like the 4th we win this game by two scores.

Agree on my opinion McD regressed. My fear came true with all his talk about the run game in the offseason worried me that we would see Conservative in game McD not the 2021 in game McD and that is what we are seeing. not to mention you have a QB that is an absolute weapon with his legs in the redzone and yet those runs are gone. Why? Is it because you are trying to protect your investment? And you do that by taking away some of his game? So conservative. all the Bills do not have an offensive identity is somewhat correct. But that is because the HC doesn’t want everything to go through Allen. if I remember right his halftime notes to the reporter “we cannot rely on Josh’s arm to win this game we need to run better” or something along those lines. My statement to that is WHAT? You have an absolute Stud at QB, you identified that in the draft. Developed it to where you say maybe about what’re his yearly floor is last season. And in the biggest game of the season you handcuff that weapon. I still think we make the playoffs. But this season has exposed McD and Daboll for that matter in their coaching issues. The game was lost in the head of the coaches

Allen went with Davis. With the way the wind was blowing left to right it is a better throw with the football going into the wind. The Davis or Sanders throw was a TD if not for a good play from the DB falling off Beasley. the throw to Beasley would have continued to carry toward the right sideline just like the throw to Diggs a bit earlier. That is why Allen chose Davis or Sanders whoever was in the endzone forget the number now. all plays have progression. The first read was Sanders or Davis which was Open so you take it. Because of the easier throw in the weather. I just wish we didn’t have a coward coaching staff scared of the wind. Isn’t that why they told us they drafted the big arm big handed athletic QB was because of games like last night?

The Huge mistake was coaching scared of the Wind. you Big Arm QB with Big hands that you drafted specifically for this type of game was handcuffed by coward coaching.

Or just PLAY your game. Stop trying to be something you are not. Josh had NO issues throwing in this wind.

Want to know how to get teams out of running on you. SCORE and play YOUR game on offense. If Bills come out playing the offense they showed in the 4th All game long. This would not have been a close game. Patriots clearly were not letting Jones throw.

Yep took until this gameplan to say enjoy your next job in 2022. when Allen was drafted it was all about his arm and hands for the Orchard Park winds. And what happens we wait until the 4th QTR to get back to OUR offense. If he and McD didn’t coach like cowards for the first 3 QTRs that final drive wouldn’t have been needed. Once again they go and play ANOTHER teams game. Instead of playing ours.
