That was a horrible play call. There's probably about a 5% chance of a defensive TD or 25% chance of a safety with 40 seconds left to get in field goal range. If you roll out with Allen 4 times you can kill most of the 40 seconds by just throwing the ball away each time and taking an intentional safety on 4th down. The free kick would take the rest of the time if they try to return it or maybe one hail Mary if they down the ball immediately.

As the second half was starting today, the broadcast brought up a stat that was really surprising to me. The Bills had won 52 games in a row when they led by 14+ points by halftime at home, dating back to 1968. Imagine how many awful teams the Bills had over that amount of time and then think about this team managing to break that streak as a "Super Bowl favorite." This team is looking more like Marvin Lewis' Bengals than anything resembling a perennial Super Bowl contender. McDermott has certainly earned a lot of trust with his performance thus far, but if these monumental choke jobs don't stop happening at some point then I hope we're not stuck with Marvin Lewis 2.0 for 15 years.

Should've never gotten to that point for a multitude of reasons. This game was such a farcical choke job it required the Bills to do literally everything wrong to lose. Which they managed in spectacular fashion.

Yes, but all his receivers are in the endzone for absolutely no ***** reason. The only guy who should have been that far down field is Gabe. Instead, Dorsey is forcing Allen to either scramble or throw into an endzone 20 yards away that is packed with defenders.

Dorsey probably deserves to be fired at this point. Can't score in the second half, constantly calls go routes when all we need is short completions, doesn't know when to run the ball.

Kelce is the best TE ever. Most TEs don't make that catch. It was good coverage.

Is that something defenses are allowed to do? I thought they just had to keep one defender on one of the best receivers in the league.

This game was won if he executed the simplest of plays. If he doesn't rally here this loss is on him and the coaching staff again.

They would have about 30 seconds after you kill clock on the safety and kick. And if Josh is running around in the end zone he always has the opportunity to find someone open. They did the dumbest possible thing in that situation.

Because a QB sneak from one inch beyond the goal line has two very likely results: safety or TD for the defense. You have to take the safety there and run ten seconds off the clock.

You can kill ten seconds with one play. They were likely to get the safety anyway. And you avoid exactly what just happened.

What the ***** are the coaches thinking?! Just run around and take the safety!
