  1. You seem to have a hard time coming up with anything that refutes it. Which is not surprising, considering both statements are just facts.
  2. @wppete I see you rolling your eyes at me but did I not just describe the Cam Akers that you want? Or is there another Cam Akers out there who isn't totally washed from an Achilles injury and is a team player?
  3. The guy averaging 3.0 YPC who quit on his team 5 games into the season?
  4. People are sleeping on Duke too much. He had 4.6 YPC last year (4.3 over his career) and has a ton of production in the passing game in prior years. He should be dressing over Moss already but they might be hedging against calling him up too often so they aren't forced to sign him to the 53 unless absolutely necessary. I don't think any of the guys OP mentioned is worth the draft capital for the slight upgrade over Johnson.
  5. I believe it's because defenses are trying to take away the deep passes and force Allen to throw short more often. They are probably also coached to maintain their gaps and get hands up rather than pin their ears back and chase him out of the pocket which would also give him more time and more room to throw or a chance to scramble for a long run.
  6. 12 seconds holy *****. This coaching staff is so ***** stupid. SAME EXACT PLAY
  7. Bills are playing stupid football today. Chiefs are holding multiple guys on every single play.
  8. Looked more like the defender got blocked backward and was trying not to fall down. The offensive linemen certainly wasn't making an attempt to block anyone else.
  9. Longevity and nepotism, and occasional success with star players sprinkled in.
  10. Wouldn't be hard to draw lines to the amount of bets placed on the Chiefs to be ahead at halftime and the amount of bets taken at halftime for the Raiders to cover and then see which ways the penalties went. But I think you're correct that NFL referees are just incompetent, attention seeking divas.
  11. That call still infuriates me. Kroft had initial control, it was simultaneous as they went to the ground (which goes to the offense) and Kroft ripped the ball away while they were down. At what point could the Rams' defender ever have had control of the ball?
  12. Is it always so rigid that players aren't allowed to improvise in an obvious situation like this? Clearly it's a delayed blitz and clearly Dawkins and Morse are occupied and holding their blocks. So why wouldn't Saffold slide back to the blitz gap instead of wandering around in space? Or is this actually Morse's fault for not shifting even though he was already engaged before the blitz came?
  13. Not arguing with the claim that we didn't take full advantage of our schedule, but we played 3 strong division winners and 10 teams with winning records. The Eagles will likely only play half as many teams (exactly 5 right now) with winning records and only play 2 division winners (one of which is the AFC South which is garbage compared to last year). Unless of course they lose their own division to the Cowboys. The two schedules aren't that comparable.
  14. 1. Underthrow a pass 2. Get pass interference call 3. Profit
  15. I know how it works: bad passes are rewarded constantly. I'm advocating for it to be changed so it works better.
  16. There's a difference between protecting them and throwing a game changing flag when they get a routine sack.
  17. No, the wide receiver stopped his route to adjust to a poorly thrown ball and initiated contact with a defender. The defender should not be required to back off and give him enough room to make a play. Otherwise there's really no point in playing defense.
  18. They were playing the ball if it's thrown to the right spot. A bad pass shouldn't automatically give the offense a completed catch.
  19. They're not uncatchable, but it's impossible for a defender to avoid contact if they have good coverage on an accurate pass.
  20. He looks so explosive out of the backfield. It's such a shock to see that from someone who watches the Bills RBs every week.
  21. Why would they turn back to the ball when the receiver is clearly playing for a deep pass? If the defender turns back, they get beat over the top with an accurate throw. Stop rewarding bad passes!
  22. The NFL seriously needs to add an underthrown ball caveat to pass interference. Those were two bad passes from Carr that resulted in 50 free yards.
  23. Wtf are you talking about? Epenesa was breaking up a scuffle and accidentally bumped a referee who immediately went red-faced ape-*****. Who is the unhinged one? Did you really just quote and reply to your own post to try and make it look less ridiculous? Because it didn't work.
  24. Hussey is not a good referee. Wouldn't be surprised if he initiated contact from behind on purpose to draw a reaction.
