  1. there's actually a line where the Rams are the favorite against the Jets next week? that definitely won't last if that's the case. I might put a good chunk of change on the Jets moneyline and be happy either way next week.
  2. I might add... the comparison to Minnesota vs Arizona last year doesn't make me any more hopeful because: a) Shanahan might not be all that and a bag of chips without Elway, but he's no dumbass like Mike Tice... Vikings have repeatedly choked under Tice's leadership b) Denver will be playing at home with a crowd exhorting them on to make the playoffs... Vikings were on the road c) Vikings were playing an Arizona team that was motivated, playing their starters and regular schemes, and wanting to finish the season on a high note. Colts won't care at all. They just won't. And they'll want to avoid the Bills.
  3. Even if Peyton plays a quarter, how big a lead can the Colts build? Does anyone really think they can get up by more than ten points against a motivated Denver team, while playing vanilla schemes? Does anyone really think Denver will blow this game against Indy's scrubs? ALL they have to do is win, even by one point! They're going to pull out all stops to do just that. And they'll be playing against vanilla schemes and vanilla scrubs. AND, as mentioned before, the entire Colts Nation wants to play Denver next week in the playoffs instead of Buffalo. If you're a gambler, this is as close to a moneyline lock as there is.
  4. ATBNG, I've seen Denver open as 7 to 9 point favorites in this game.... not good news.
  5. Great points. About McGahee, I think his value was an emotional / mental one. The coaches can create all the brilliant game plans they want, but it was McGahee that motivated his teammates with his stirring comeback to execute them with precision and effort.
  6. If the Bills beat the Steelers, what are the odds that they'll make the playoffs? How do you calculate it? a) Let's say the Broncos have a 90% chance to beat Indy at home since the Colts have nothing to play for. b) Let's further say that the Jets have an 80% chance to beat the hapless Rams on the road. The chances of both of those things happening is .90 x .80 = .72 or 72% chance. Meaning, the Bills have a 100 - 72, or 28% chance of making the playoffs if they beat the Steelers. We compute it that way because the Bills only need ONE of (a) or (b) to not occur for them to make the playoffs. Now, you may quibble with the odds I assigned (although, I think they're fair, personally), but that's how you would calcuate the Bills' chances, right?
  7. If I were Mike Shanahan, I would tell one of my linebackers to blitz and hit Peyton Manning late. Nothing dirty, no diving at the leg, but two hands and knock him to the ground... Dungy will get him out of there real fast.
  8. Absolutely, I agree 100% with you... I'm just hoping that Dungy is CRAZY with integrity... he's the kind of soft-spoken, never curses person who might just be... 10% chance.
  9. Our hope is that Tony Dungy is such a man of integrity that he refuses to go half-hearted next week since he understand that one day he might be in Buffalo's situation.
  10. good catch... that's what I meant, the Colts are locked into the #3 seed and will face the #6 seed (unless the Pats somehow lose next week).... so, again, they'd rather face Denver as the #6 than Buffalo.
  11. This is, I think, bad... now the Colts are locked into the #4 seed (unless the 49ers miraculously beat the Pats next week), so next week the Colts are playing to decide whether they'd rather face Denver or Buffalo. Methinks they'd rather face Denver.
  12. lol, are you delirious? You already stated "with the exception of Denver"... how can it be in our own hands when we need Denver to lose?
  13. helps, I think... they'll be pissed off enough to play their starters for longer next week. No one wants to go into the playoffs with a two game losing streak.
  14. Rudi's a very average running back who isn't explosive nor does he help in the passing game much. I'd be happy if Miami signed him.
  15. I agree that it's much more important that the Bills finish strong, have their first winning season in forever, and carry momentum into next year. Sure, I'd love to get into the playoffs because anything could happen there, but this season is a success if the Bills finish 10-6. Who thought that they'd do that when the season started, in MM's FIRST year as coach?
  16. Yeah, but how could anyone have known last week that the Giants would score 30 on Pittsburgh? Stuff happens in football. The Bills should win, but the cover is iffy. Take it from someone who put money on Bills -11.5 and immediately regretted it.
  17. yes, Yes, YES! I totally agree. I've long felt this way as well, and I take great pride in my gaydar.
  18. i'm rooting for the chargers b/c I have them covering the +7 in a 6 team parlay.
  19. JP-era, you must be 12 yrs old. Seriously. I'm not even saying that with sarcastic derision. You are actually 12 yrs old, aren't you?
  20. Rams and Seahawks are underachieving pansies. Dolphins and Browns stink. We will find out a lot about these Bills on Sunday. This would be the best win of the entire streak. It's going to be close, and Buffalo will need to be clutch. Personally, I'm not ready to believe it just yet. Cincinnati 24, Buffalo 20
  21. they drafted Euhus to be the future starter
  22. The Bills problem is that all of our losses have been conference losses, meaning we won't win a tiebreaker with another 10-6 team. Buffalo MUST finish 10-6, and our competitors MUST finish 9-7 or below. Again, we lose the tiebreaker. Realistically, we have about a 1% chance of making it.
  23. The Bellhorn home run was huge... for some unexplainable reason, 8-3 just seems so much more vulnerable than 9-3... as I type this, Sox have man on 3rd with 1 out... let's make it 10-3 boys. actually let's make it 12-3
  24. I hear ya, but Sox-Yankees ain't just about Boston-NYC. We're talking about the entire Northeast region of our country here. I don't look at it as rooting for Boston or the Patriots.
  25. Pedro didn't ask to come in... Francona is just a focking retard. No honestly, he is. I almost hope the Yankees come back to win now (almost). Talk about choking in the complete opposite direction as Grady.
