  1. Sherman sucks. Packer fans are glad to have him gone. If we're right about Mularkey then we might assume that Green Bay fans are right about Sherman. He sucks.
  2. I don't really like that draft because it has us missing out on Mario Williams. That Bengals game better not cost us Mario.
  3. Not mine. I'm rooting for Mario Williams.
  4. Nah. I'd like to see everything get blown up and start from scratch. I don't have confidence in either Mularkey or Donahoe.
  5. I don't agree that New Orleans has a much bigger need at QB, but I do agree that we shouldn't draft Leinart. Improve the lines.
  6. Mike Williams was pretty dumb. Trading a #1 for Drew Bledsoe was pretty dumb. And give JP Losman some time to earn this label as well. Parrish, in the end, was only a wasted 2nd round pick.
  7. "Here's a suggestion. Let's cut JP and let him go to another team. If he succeeds, then we'll know he's our QB of the future...uh, wait a minute...never mind." I wouldn't be too upset by this. JP's got some tools but he's no phenom. He's going to take 3-4 years to develop just like most everyone else, and if we're lucky, he can be a Jake Plummer (I like that comparison a lot). Sigh. I wish we had just picked up a good vet (see what the Vikes are doing with Brad Johnson) and used those three draft picks we used on JP to upgrade the lines. I'm just tired of waiting for a winning season, and with a young erratic QB like JP, that's what we're going to do. Wait.
  8. "Do we deserve to be in a BCS bowl, No. Do we have a legit shot at winning it, yes." Depends on how you define legit. To me, they can't make that spread high enough. JoePa gets a month to prep for Drew Weatherford.
  9. You need to take back this statement then: "Look, TD deserves blame for many things, but picking MW is NOT one of them!" MW sucks. Of course TD is to blame for picking him. I remember that draft well, and I recall lots of people saying he was going to be a bust. Too fat. Not a left tackle. Texas doesn't develop players as well as you might expect. Etc. Bottom line, it was plain to see for many fans so no excuse for a GM to miss it. TD overanalyzed.
  10. It's the PANTHERS who are favored by 4.5 Think about how ridiculous it would have to be the other way around.
  11. They should try converting MW to defensive tackle. He sucks right now but he is still a unique talent in that he is one of the strongest guys in the NFL - if he collides with you, chances are you are going backwards. His problem is that his feet suck so he will end up whiffing on too many blocks and can't lock on to use his power. If he were on the defensive side of the ball, the opposition's job would actually be to seek contact with him (in order to block him) instead of avoiding him, and that just might be the change he needs to start becoming a good football player. I honestly believe he could be a good situational run stuffer that pushes the pile and occupies blockers, and lord knows we need something like that in the middle of our DL. All I know is that MW is still a unique talent and great coaches find a way to use and gain from having someone like him on the roster, even if it means switching his position.
  12. The benching clearly has helped JP. Good decision by Mularkey.
  13. Bruschi is great in coverage actually. If they're going to have a LB on the field to the defend the pass, it should be him.
  14. what are you talking about? that was a good, interesting article.
  15. QB controvery from the fans' perspective. The vibe I get from Moulds' quote is the locker room is pretty united behind this decision.
  16. Some of you act like we go to the playoffs every single year or something. Geez, I would LOVE a wild card loss. If nothing else, making the postseason would give this organization some credibility again.
  17. If that happens, then JP is right back in there, and we only lose one or two games of his "development". Whatever. It's worth it to me to find out if this season can be salvaged by a more experienced QB.
  18. Agree that people are overreacting. Basically, things will sort themselves out, won't they? If the Bills don't start winning games with Holcomb at the helm, JP will be a starter again in no time. I'm willing to wait one or two games before we resume "finding out" about JP, the prospect. And if Holcomb provides wins, then the Bills will be in good playoff contention shape, and he'll continue to play. They are still undefeated in the AFC and against the AFC East as of today.
  19. he's also thrown what, like six passes overal... give him a week of first team reps and a full game to work with
  20. I look at it completely differently. The Bills are undefeated against the AFC and the AFC East right now. This is the perfect time to insert Holcomb and try to salvage the season. I guess it just depends on whether people think the Bills have good enough talent to make the playoffs, and whether it's worth trying to make a run at it. I definitely do on both counts.
  21. Read the top post. Like I said, a one or two week benching could be useful to JP, and that might be what the plan is.
  22. Except you don't have to equate benching him with blaming him as the sole cause of the problems. I think they realize many players have underperformed, not just JP.
  23. The point of my post is, maybe sitting a couple of weeks before playing again speeds up his development instead of delays it. I've laid out how it's possible. But people can disagree if they want.
  24. If the rest of the team sucks and JP is just the scapegoat / whipping boy, then the Bills should continue to struggle and lose games with Holcomb as QB. We'll see if you're right.
