It has nothing to do with Edmunds, it’s all about the process. The difference between VDE and Edmunds wasn’t worth risking additional picks in a trade up. It’s not like VDE was under the radar. Good stuff. It’s a big improvement from profiling guys like Ragland so it’s hard to complain. Beane is still new so it’s my hope that he will value each pick instead of going up the board when a similar situation presents itself.

If Anderson stays then I’d expect Peterman to get released mid week. Maybe McD is waiting a day or two so it’s not like they couldn’t wait to get rid of him.

It will be interesting to revisit this down the road. Edmunds has miles to go. Stay put and take Vander and then they could have had Chubb. That would have been my dream draft. Allen/Vander/Chubb I was alarmed that it took Edmunds nearly two full weeks to clear the concussion protocol. Hopefully he can handle the impact of a MLB.

Did Anderson have a reputation as a good mentor before arriving in Buffalo? Is this just a fan thing? Why is anyone convinced he would be a better mentor than Barkley?

Bell and his agent spinning it like they are doing a service for other players is pretty funny. The only service they did was show how different a non committal, pot smoking RB gets treated vs. a guy like Gurley when it’s contract time. Players do get screwed in the NFL in comparison to other sports but I will save my sympathy for guys that never hurt their own team.

Why are you guys worried about Barkley? Benjamin will take his game to the next level and things will be sunshine and rainbows.

It will be interesting to see what the Saints do, they just put Meridith on the shelf with his knee.

Hate? It’s a harmless observation from someone who watching about two complete games all year. Watching the first quarter it’s not hard to see where the comment came from.
