Pats sign Gillislee to offer sheet
CommonCents replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pats Pulplit covered this in depth, I was wondering how the locals would perceive this move. I don't think many of us realize how well Gilly stacked up in all those advance metric stats. I will try and find the article when I get home. -
2017 NHL Playoffs.....Anybody care?
CommonCents replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Sorry I was well under way by the time the game got over. The Bruins and Sens played into double over time last night. Kuraly a call up for the Bruins started over Spooner and boy was he fun to watch. He ended up with 2 goals and the game winner in OT, he is oldish for a rook, 24 or 25? He looked like a kid out there smiling on the bench and picking Backes brain at every oppurtunity. Can't wait for the game tomorrow. The kid played like Backes used to, before someone loaded a piano on his back! Cheers. Good series so far. -

They have no plan and this is just the most recent example of it. That's why this thread has so much back and forth. Follow. Mike Tolbert's contract is the difference between Gilly's 5th and 2nd round tender. Tolbert is by all accounts..."toast" he is this years Reggie Bush. Let's take a look at that numbers and then I will finish. 3.3, 4.1, 2.1, 3.6, 3.4. Those are Tolbert's YPC for the past 5 seasons. He has only found the end zone once in the past 3 seasons and six times in those same 5 seasons listed above. That should remove any doubt about Tolbert being the change of pace guy behind Shady and being the much needed redzone guy. MG excelled in his role doing just that. PLAN : don't offer a washed up Tolbert the million bucks, slightly over value your own asset MG and use the 2nd round tender to ward off any potential suitors. The money is a wash. Pick up a UDFA, don't waste another pick...and spend minimal money on a back. FWIW I don't even think Tolbert makes the team if they retain MG. -

All Boston teams except the Bills. The Pats were always blacked out when I was growing up because they sucked so bad. The sports teams have had some good luck that's for sure. The Celts sucked for years tho then Reggie Lewis... Pats still suck, just in their own way Red Sox Spend Spend Spend 100 years later you can win Bruins welllllllll Bruins gona Bruin

I thought the Rangers looked fast last night and LUNDY can turn any series in their favor. -
That's a big "break" for the celts. So there is a chance!

It's not the teams we are facing that worry me. -

Someone send Jack Eichel a tweet and ask him to push Whaley out next. -
Had John 3:16 written on his forehead in red marker. Supposedly smoked K-2 last night. The inmate he smoked it with is under some 24 hour suicide watch.

The guard that called in said the windows aren't high enough to actually "hang" He also said he had seen it done successfully in his time at the prison. Not sure if that helps, sounds like you would have to be very determined to make it work.
-
It's common, they put a magazine or book under the door and try to keep the door shut. That was according to a former prison guard that worked there. He also said they keep them separated by gang affiliations. Bloods, cripes, and "Boyos" aka white boys etc.

I wasn't trying to be a ball breaker, you do a good job posting and relaying stats. That six carries should be closer to 10 this year. That would keep Shady fresh and let MG get more of a rhythm. He should have been the starter in that Fins game. If he goes to NE he will be in a position for success just like Hogan was. Less guys in the box and more redzone oppurtunities. -

That was good post from Yolo about BB's mentality when it comes to drafting players. IMO Whaley should trust Dabo less. He says all the right things to keep the recruits signing. -
Many people believe he did in fact kill the two men outside the night club, he just got off on those murderers. Wouldn't this strengthen his belief that this lawyer could do it again? AH shot one of his best friends in the face, the guy testified against him. No doubt he was nuts and a disturbed soul, I still think the timing is odd at best. I heard on the radio now that he is dead it would prevent some sort of civil suit against his family, perhaps that could have been a motive that would explain the timing.

I'm surprised you haven't dumped all the advance stats on the board like you do for Sammy! From what I have seen Gilly ranked really well last season, if I'm remembering correctly he was the best back after contact. -
Right and if your convinced he killed the two guys from the night club and just got away with it...and now has a lawyer who has been publicly saying he will get the other verdict overturned...wouldn't this embolden an animal like AH? Instead, after sitting in prison for two years he finally had some hope and decide to hang himself with a bed sheet? Crazy is crazy but that would be something else entirely.
-
I'm just relaying the message, obviously I have no idea what happened nor do I claim to know what does or doesn't happen in a prison. If you read Jose Baez Twitter and some links related to this case the timing of this seems very odd. It's clear Baez thought he could get the other verdict overturned and the result would have been a free Hernandez. This guy has to have been the man that would have the most influence over AH, so wouldn't he believe it was possible? Heck he just got off the other two murders?

Karlos is not here anymore, I'm talking about the guys who would be counted on to replace MG's production.
