Sports Hub had this yesterday, Zolak and Bertran were talking about how they would rather have him use PEDS and be back to 100 percent by week 5. Kissing off the first four weeks, might be the last season that they have that luxury.

I’m not sure what the right and wrong answers are but I’m fine with the league trying to keep the focus on the game and encouraging and assisting players (95 million?) to further their causes off of the field. Reid/Kap and their agents all knew the potential consequences of their actions, so it doesn’t ruffle my feathers. The league also black balled Ray Rice for his actions. I don’t think they have a perfect system in place but it has improved. I’m sure the NFLPA and NCAA wants players like Mixon to have an opportunity and maybe that’s the gray area or loophole.

I’m not cool with Joe Mixon knocking out a woman. I’m also not cool with continually having politics injected into the broadcast and media coverage of the NFL. You forgot a large group of decent people who just want to enjoy the game the same way we have since we were children.

It’s easy for me, I’m in Patriots territory and they see the respect that B.B. has for McD and what he is doing in Buffalo. OFC you still have casual fans/soccer moms breaking balls when they see the Bills gear but I’m getting more and more “oh yous guys finally doing something” Some of that probably comes from ending the drought but it has been a fun 6 months talking football. Each time McD traded away a big name it was the same conversation, oh you guys tanking? No, he is getting rid of all the guys that aren’t team first guys just like B.B. would. They understand that.

No way for me to say this without sounding like a Celtic homer but I think the 6ers have more hype than talent. What if Simmons doesn’t drastically improve his shot? Fultz couldn’t get any PT? Embiid is a force but how long is he going to stay healthy? Not that coaching matters a ton in the NBA but that coach lost his mind in the playoffs. I want them to get LeBron so they can clash with the Celtics. I also think Lebron likes Simmons and could push him to be great.

Jalen Mills is the same height and has the same thin waist as Levi. Mills ran a 4.61 at the combine but ran a 4.48 at his pro day. Levi is comparable to Mills and Mills has very similar size and combines with our own Poyer. Confused yet!? I am.

I get the point with Bennett not being a star anymore but I could see how a guy like TG would feel annoyed with the fan base and lash out a bit. I’m not saying it’s correct or appropriate, it’s just how I interpreted his initial comment and then his follow up.

When he followed it up with the “woke” comment it became apparent he wasn’t going at Vic or Bennett but the fans. The same fans who moaned and groaned and even asked for JS and BG to be replaced don’t even know what type of people they are cheering for or turn a blind eye towards it. You hate the people you get the news from but you don’t even care/know how foul some of your own hero’s are. Let’s focus on the media though.

The only thing clear about any of this is that the NFLPA needs new leadership, they are the weakest of any major sport and now it’s evident they lack foresight and are once again going to hurt the players. The owners gave them 90 million that would have been the perfect time to squash the childish BS about who is standing, sitting, or kneeling each week and find a different way to further their cause.
