"Austin", TX is racist
gatorbait replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I said they are on the rise. That’s my opinion. In the news I read and in my social media feeds they are on the rise. Every post or statement doesn’t have to equate to a peer reviewed journal article. If that was the case 99% of the posters on this site would have to stop posting. -

I made my statement based on my experience. The opinions of two crotchety old farts doesn’t affect my opinion or experience in the slightest. You stick to message boards and let us millennials worry about social media. -

Do you think there are studies and statistics to prove these things are on the rise? I have monitored social media closely since 2006. Guess what? There have been way more cases of white people calling the police on black people for doing nothing wrong over the past two years. Who is America? -

Do I really need to post all the videos of the police being called on black people for having bbq’s, swimming in pools, shopping and eating in restaurants? I know I’m younger than most here but those types of things are all over social media these days. Not saying it didn’t happen in the past but it’s happening more. You’re right but racist is in the title even if it’s a joke. Who is America? -

Good luck getting anyone on here to acknowledge that these types of incidents are on the rise. Murica! -
You aren’t getting it. This isn’t China where people are shut down from all platforms. Stations and companies pick what content they want to be shown. Blame the hypocrisy by media companies who have the Young Turks but don’t like Alex Jones. It’s their companies and they can do what they want. You’re wrong. Anyone exhibiting hate speech or racist language should be removed (even racist views towards whites). Don’t forget I’m a straight white male so I’m the enemy to a lot of snowflakes out there.

Absolutely.

He’s not being shut down. His content is being removed from privately owned platforms. People can still go to infowars.com if they want to see a roided out gorilla pander to conspiracy theories and jam ****ty supplements down their throat.

The Patriots always sign players with issues. Either they buy in and change their ways, or they get sent packing. -
Solid points. I could be wrong but I don’t think soliciting only pertains to offering or selling something, trying to purchase or obtain something also applies. Why did they lie about the meeting? Seems stupid especially since they never received any info. Mueller wants to interview Trump so he can get him to perjure himself, probably the only chance he has at impeachment. Honestly I don’t mind another 2 or 6 years of Trump if the economy stays afloat, we don’t start any unnecessary wars and the environment doesn’t get too !@#$ed. Everyone is saving their best cards for right before midterms so hopefully we get a resolution to all of this crap before the end of the year.

I’m not saying this is collusion or worthy of impeaching Trump but Don Jr did solicit the info and it seems like it would fit the “other thing of value” criteria. I only bring this up because it seems this is what Mueller is focusing on for his case. Followed by any obstruction related to the meeting and Russia investigation in general. Is the consensus here it was a routine practice and nothing will come of it? Is it possible that Mueller will squeeze Trump and force him to resign by going after his son? Personally, the meeting seems common practice and SOP in politics but the lying and changing stories about it makes it worse. Greg has done a good job outlining what really transpired behind the scenes for the infamous meeting but most of America will never know about that stuff. The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father. This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump - helped along by Aras and Emin. What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly? I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first. Seems we have some time and if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back? Does the Trump tower meeting fit the criteria? I believe it’s common practice in politics but they are looking for something to hang Trump on and this could be it. 52 U.S. Code § 30121 - Contributions and donations by foreign nationals: (a) Prohibition It shall be unlawful for— (1) a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make— (A) a contribution or donation of money OR OTHER THING OF VALUE, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election; (B) a contribution or donation to a committee of a political party; or (C) an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication (within the meaning of section 30104(f)(3) of this title); or (2) A PERSON TO SOLICIT, ACCEPT, OR RECEIVE a contribution or donation described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of paragraph (1) from a foreign national.

You could say the same thing about 90% of your posts. Either you have a drinking problem or we have all been experiencing your mental decline the past couple of years. -

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
gatorbait replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It’s funny you took the time to write that huge pile of **** you call a post, even more hilarious is that you probably thought it was a good one. What flow am I disrupting? I post once or twice a week max. Usually I just come on here to read and learn about stuff I hardly know anything about. I’ve never ignored anyone because I don’t believe in censoring people’s speech. Even stupid speech, like from the inbreed Boyst.
