  6. This is the first one that I thought of:
  7. Well, the kids are all hopped up and ready to go They're ready to go now They got their surfboards and they're going to the discotheque a-go-go But she just couldn't stay, she had to break away Well New York City really has it all oh yeah, oh yeah

  10. I've always been in favor of the NFL starting and ending a month or so later. I'm not done with football by early February, I even watched a fair amount of XFL and AAF, so for me it would be an unexpected benefit of the pandemic to delay the start of the season. Full season, Super Bowl on the Sunday of Presidents week. I also think having fans in the stands matters even though I watch from home.
  11. Going to the city, got you on my mind, Country sure is pretty, I'll leave it all behind, This is my decision, I'm coming home to stay this time 'Cause I'm a fool for the city, I'm a fool for the city

Don't you just want to jump on up, And kick your chairs out of the way? OOh we're going to rock you, baby, Rock you till the break of day. We ain't never had no problem before, Nobody seems to want to boogie no more.
  14. In the pool halls, the hustlers and the losers I used to watch 'em through the glass Well I'd stand outside at closing time Just to watch her walk on past Unlike all the other ladies, she looked so young and sweet As she made her way alone down that empty street Down on Mainstreet
  15. Love it. They make it seem effortless. (and yes, I hear the Specials)
  16. People who come into a thread like this and comment?
  17. Scaffolding companies being called because morgues can't handle the capacity and "Dead bodies that have probably died from a number of different things" doesn't make much sense to me. Reminds me of the Spinal Tap quote: Dozens of people spontaneously combust each year. It's just not really widely reported.
  18. On this last point I agree 100%. My sense is that it would have been far far worse if we just let it run it's course. I can tell you second hand that the hospitals in my area were overrun, not sure how it's played out all over the country. Chilling thing for me 3 weeks ago was hearing that my neighbor who owns a scaffolding company was contracted by the city to deal with dead bodies.
  19. I did. You've said nothing more here than in the post that I quoted. I don't think it's stupid at all. It's a mitigation strategy to try to prevent the healthcare system from being overrun. It was overrun by me and I assume would have been far worse without the restrictions. I'll ask again, do you think we'd be better off had we not shut down? Was letting it run its course a better option? Or did you have another solution in mind?
  20. How so? Are you of the opinion that the situation we're in would be roughly the same without it? Or was there a better plan we all missed out on?
  21. The killer awoke before dawn He put his boots on He took a face from the ancient gallery And he walked on down the hall
  22. Robin Roberts?
  23. Jones Beach is hit or miss. On a nice summer night it doesn't get much better. But the rainy nights are rough and even the wind can ruin the sound. But if you live in the area it's not summer unless you get to at least one show, good or bad.
  24. How recent were the ZZ shows? I had the same experience with them with the bad show (flat out awful that night) around 3-4 years ago and the good show a few years before that one.
  25. I really want to see you Really want to be with you Really want to see you Lord But it takes so long, my Lord My sweet Lord
