The staff was not I-A material. The new AD better do some things. They should have spent the money years ago. They could have positioned themselves much better if they had a clear direction and strong leadership. They should have been in the Big East this year with a decent program on the rise (see UConn). People would show up to see the local team play schools like Syracuse, Pitt and West Virginia instead of Akron, Toledo and Central Michigan. Non-conference games against schools like Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame would be huge events as well as make money to put back into the school and sports program. No question in my mind they could draw almost as well as the Bills do. Instead they get 7,000 to see a hapless, sad excuse of a football program play Akron.

On Adelphia Cable, the game is only on OLN and is not on MSG. The only way you get OLN is if you have the most expensive digital cable package. I read in the paper that only 10% of Adelphia subscribers get OLN. Luckily, I am one of them.

I'll say 10-6 wins the East this year. Bills would have to go 8-3 the rest of the way. Winning the division games will be the most important to have the tiebreakers in their favor. If they somehow do go 8-3 and win the division, that will most likely get them a home wild card game. It's something to shoot for. Let's look at the rest of the games: Home NY Jets Carolina Kansas City New England Denver Away Oakland New England San Diego Miami Cincinnati NY Jets If they can win 4 of the 5 home games, they will have to pull two major upsets on the road. The key games of the season, in my opinion, will be New England, Denver, at Cincinnati. I'm looking for 8 wins and it's tough to see it right now.

3 refs were planted into the turf yesterday including one in the Bills game. These guys are part time refs in their 50's and 60's. They can't keep up with the speed of today's NFL. The players are much bigger as well and it's tough to see everything going on with 350lb lineman blocking things. NFL needs younger, taller, faster refs that are full timers. That would cut down on the amount of missed/blown calls. I always wondered why someone's grandfather was in charge of costing teams games because he is old, slow and half blind.

They should do what pro wrestling used to do back in the day. They would stick cardboard "people" in the seats to make it look like the arena was filled. That could be a decent business. "Stadium not selling out? Tired of Blackouts? Buy ACME cardboard fans and fill your stadium every Sunday! Fans available in all 32 team colors"

He's an even bigger Jackass now that he is on TV. He is on SportsExtra every Sunday now. I actually know him and he is just as big of a tool off the radio than he is on it. I dislike the guy a great deal so I don't feel bad saying that he should stick to radio (preferably somewhere other than Buffalo) because all the makeup in the world can't hide the fact that he looks like he got hit in the face with a big bag of hot asphalt. He knows nothing about sports but now he is a big shot so he can talk down to all the callers. He even does that to Jim Kelly on Monday afternoons.
