I think this has more to do with Rex getting fired, they don't want to lock the new HC into a QB that they don't want. That's pretty much it, the option on Tyrod will depend on who the HC is. If the new HC thinks they can win with Tyrod he stays, if not, hes starting for the Texans, Bears, Broncos or Browns next season. Would like to see Tyrod on the Broncos or Texans. Think Denver would fit him the best, they have a great WR core and the O Line is terrible so Tyrod would be good at leveling that out a bit.

Might as well re-sign Tyrod if that's the plan. Damn I cant believe they wont re-sign him. That's crazy.

This was my 1st thought. A shame though, I think TT with an altered contract would be good stop gap for this team but, this is a sign of Pegs cleaning house kicking out Rex and telling him to take Tyrod with him. Tyrod will start for another team next year, ill bet anyone.

I understand your comment but with EJ contract expiring this off-season I don't think anyone would trade, they would wait till the contract runs out and take him in FA.

If you read some of the players comments they admit they were in positions to succeed and they didnt make the plays. period. I think Rex should be a little accountable for tackling but damn. These guys are making millions playing a game most of them have played since middle school. You would think a professional knows how to tackle by now. If I went into work and forgot how to do paper work, make a sale, call a vendor to expidite or anything like that my ass would be in the frying pan, not my department head. I would have agreed with you but watching both MIA games again, Rexs scheme is ok but our players arent good enough to run it. They were all in position to make tackles and just COULDNT MAKE THE TACKLES. Im not a big fan of Rex but i dont expect him to make the tackles too.

Agree. The defense has talent, they just cant grasp Rexs scheme. Rex is a goner, and I feel conflicted bc if you look at the times our run defense ***** itself, there are guys there to stop the RB but they arent making the tackles, They are doing the arm tackle thing and getting ripped for it. I dont expect Rex to make the tackles on the field too. That reminds me. the Giants are in the playoffs. Im looking forward to seeing Eli Manning turn into his clutch playoff form.
