  1. We don't know what we have in Kyle Allen. He has yet to throw a pass in a regular game situation. All he has done in his garbage time snaps is hand off to a rusher, or kneel down.

I do admit to being concerned of having to play him--my memories of his preseason games are pretty frightening. I bet if he threw in a regular season game that it would be a sphincter tightening experience.

  2. There is a subset of posters here who have the knives out for McDermott. This past couple of weeks have been very hard on them because it's hard to be negative when the team is winning, even ugly winning. They've had to bite their lip when comes to talking smack about McDermott.

Don't be mistaken. The haters are still out there and are chomping at the bit to mouth off with their negativity and I told you so's. Nothing short of a Superbowl win will shut them up. Even then, some will still b----.

In all likelihood, the end of the 2023 season is going to be dominated by acrimonious McDermott haters. It's kind of a drag.

At least in the US it's called the 'jock tax'. For the London game they would have to pay UK taxes, but I'm not sure if it's regularly taxed income or if they also have a jock tax as well.

I know players like to get their salary in the form of an up front bonus and will have their primary residence in a 0 tax state when they receive that bonus so they can skip the state taxes (have to pay federal regardless).

Which is why so few Bills stay in WNY year round.... and also why so many players have houses in Florida.

  4. I remember for years, the NFL's highest priority was to have two teams in LA. Not just one, but two. It was more than just Goodell, it was many people who wanted teams in LA. It was imagined to be a ratings golden goose.

It just goes to show you--having a collective group of billionaires does not translate into good business sense. 32 owners couldn't read the room and realize LA has little enthusiasm for professional football.

The sad part: In the NFL's misguided zeal to have two teams in LA, the fans in San Diego and St. Louis got the screw-job.

Amazon Prime is jamming commercials into their already pay $139 a year for. Then allowing you the privilege of paying $3 to skip them. The cheapest Netflix plan without commercials is $15.49. That's after they threatened you for *gasp* sharing your account with your own flesh and blood. Disney has raised rates and will be cracking down on account sharing in 2024 because it worked so well for Netflix last year. Sunday ticket suckered plenty into their $72 a month Youtube tv package. The average cost of cable and internet per month is $150.

Everyone is rolling over and either paying for cable they don't use or being gouged for streaming they already have to pay an ISP for. Seems like the Bud Light boycott energy would have been better spent on things like this during a recession with high inflation.

Yeah... I got the Amazon email yesterday that they are adding commercials starting on 29 January.

I was on the fence as to whether I wanted to continue Prime. Now that they are adding commercials, I may cancel.

I think there will be a shakeout in the streaming industry soon. They are all charging too much and people are already stressed by inflation. Something's gotta break.

Probably too late to recommend, and you likely are looking for something in-stock...

but I highly recommend https://betamarineusa.com/ they use very reputable Kubota engines. I used them on my boat.

YES. He is a force and the defense will be diminished if he doesn't play. I will be watching for his status going forward 100%

It's a bummer that Floyd was signed to a one-year contract and will be a FA. Hopefully, he re-ups with the Bills.

  8. I was in the service, we took all kinds of precautions, lots of "workgroups" and other melodrama.

I woke up at 0030 and looked out the window, everywhere had power on and nothing was in flames. I checked the phone, it had a dial tone.

"It was all BS" I said to myself and went back to bed.

It’s crazy that if you just pick the cowboys beating the dolphins without picking any other games the bills playoff odds don’t really increase at all in the nyt simulator haha. Seems like their simulations see the wildcard as the easier path now

I get the impression that the NY Times simulator isn't very sophisticated.

I tried googling to see what the algorithm might be, but I couldn't find anything.

  10. Here is something positive---Joe Brady made a successful running game adjustment during the game.

Why is that notable? Because Brady is a quarterbacks/passing game coach by training. Despite that, he had the wherewithal to diagnose and fix a running game problem mid-game. The run is important to him.

Contrast that to Ken Dorsey the famed QB and QB coach--the running game was a secondary importance to him. His fix to everything was more Allen/Diggs. Dorsey was all about the passing to the neglect of everything else while Brady is the well-rounded coordinator.
