McDermott came in and Pegula made him "Czar" "One Voice".
Of which he had no experience.

From all accounts he went way beyond "Coaching".
If allegations are true.  He had his hand in some dismissals, not just his underlings which He certainly  would be responsible for, but above what a Football coach in a billion dollar  organization would be involved in or responsible for.

I am sure we have all seen this, given authority goes to their head.

So does one not expect at some point the fan would be turned his way and the **** would hit it.

"from all accounts" and "if allegations are true"

You are not big on discussing verifiable facts, I see.

Not even the "made him czar" comment is verifiable. It is actually refuted: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/new-bills-gm-brandon-beane-press-conference-sean-mcdermott-carolina-panthers/w5dfu8tam8y51jd21selm3spg

Daboll has anger management issues at times.  I mean it's clear as day on the field, better to keep ***** in the locker room.  His outbursts are all out in the open.

Maybe they don't get along, ***** happens, it's clear the Bills had some internal conflict but they kept that ***** in house for the most part until this recent expose.  Problem with Daboll and the Giants is that it keeps spilling out onto the field during gamedays, I'm sure getting your clock cleaned every week will do that to some extent.

Truth. When he was on the sidelines, Daboll used to blow up at Josh Allen. It's no coincidence that Josh's breakout happened when Daboll moved to the booth.

And the conniption Daboll had when Tyrod Taylor called the wrong play against the Bills... I thought he was going to have a stroke.

  3. On my Facebook, 2 hours ago, The Buffalo News:

Sean McDermott says support from Bills players was 'clear and much appreciated'

In interviews across the locker room, Bills players from veterans to rookies voiced their support of McDermott on Friday, saying the meeting went well. Safety Micah Hyde, who spoke up in the meeting to back McDermott, was adamant that it was a non-issue.

That shoots down the narrative popular with some--that he has lost the locker room.

I don't know if this link will work: https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/sean-mcdermott-says-support-from-bills-players-was-clear-and-much-appreciated/article_ce393a6c-95ee-11ee-8ef2-cf6d8ef748f6.html

I have an odd feeling we'll make it in but if we don't there's a whole ton of positives to be taken from this season.

    - Kincaid is a true stud, he will be a game breaker for our offense next year no doubt.

    - Bernard is a stud as well and a playmaker that this defense needs, he's better than Edmunds.

-Cook is a baller and will be even better next season!!

-Spencer Brown is a legit RT for the future!!

-Cyrus will be a monster next year as he was better than average this year as a rook.

-Shakir looks to be a playmaker and will be even better next year out of the slot(Beasely replacement finally).

-We now know Gabe is not it and can cut bate and draft a real #2/ eventual Diggs replacement.

-Ed Oliver is worth the contract and has finally got it all together.

There's a lot of positives that have come out of this frustrating season imo. I'm a glass half full guy!! Hats off to Beanes drafting!!! We're going to be okay we have a lot of young talent at our nucleus now 🦬

    What about Stefon Diggs?

Why wasn't he in the game for some third down situations against Philadelphia?

He is 30 years old. It's common to lose a step about 31 or 32. There are some exceptions.

It's late November-early December and I'm turning to hockey as my sole sportiveness.

Same here. It's pretty depressing. Who thought the Bills would be at .500 and flirting with a losing season..

The Bandits are champions and fun to watch, too bad their TV presence is nil, I'm not going in person.

Compared to Houghton College possible graduate Kim who met her husband while applying for a waitress job I would say they are professional sports executive geniuses compared to her.

Each of those Owners you listed are Captains of Industry.

With all due respect to Mrs. Pegula, she could not captain a row boat.

Let’s be honest about how she became President of both the Sabres and Bills.

I will continue to pray for Kim’s health however she was waaaaaaay out of her league.

    Captains of Industry? Heh.

The point I was leading to: Johnson, Davis, Tepper, Haslam are all running teams that are Class A Clown Shows. They are running their teams into the dirt.

You call them qualified, and Kim unqualified? Thanks for the Saturday morning funnies.

I agree that an unqualified Kim was making decisions.

Curious why you “feel” for Terry.

Does Woody Johnson, Jets, have this qualification?

Does Mark Davis, Raiders, have it?

Does David Tepper, Panthers, have it?

Does Jimmy Haslam, Browns, have it?

I think he his girlfriend now saying nothing happened could be the difference and save him from just being cut by the Bills.  Unless she sent to the hospital for serious injuries then no proof or video that anything happened. She could be charged for making false claims and receive just probation and a fine which still saves VON guaranteed money owed. I am sure Von and his lawyer told her how much money he would lose and to change there story

There is evidence of domestic violence. It's all in the hands of the DA right now. The GF can talk until she's blue in the face and it doesn't matter. So the qestions are:

What will the DA do? Is he looking for headlines?

What and when will Goodell do? This could take months and months.

That goes for every team in every sport. We don't know who will or won't be available as far as potential coaches go until after the season. McDermott did a good job getting the franchise turned around, but it is fair to question if he can get the Bills to a Super Bowl. So far what we have seen the answer is NO. I don't want to keep watching McDermott fail just because the Bills may or may not finding a better coach. The bar is raised for this franchise with #17. I have mentioned this in other threads but if Belichick and the Pats part ways I would love to see Bill coaching in Orchard Park. PROVEN WINNER with an elite level QB as well as a much better DC than McDermott.

Heh. I could go for Bill, *IF* he isn't the GM.

I don't think his ego would give Brandon Beane the space to operate.

  10. Everyone wants to fire McD, without any thought of replacing him.

You have the Madden types who blurt out "back up the Brinks truck for Harbaugh"  ...without any thought as to whether he's interested in leaving Michigan where he is King of his own universe, or any thought as to whether he has any interest in tax heavy and snowy WNY.

You have the Ben Johnson types...get in line with all the other teams who will fire their HC this season.

You have the Daboll types---I hope they're just saying that for laughs. That's a leap of fantasy.

You have the "because we have Allen, coach prospects will be lining up at the door" types...

Even Frank Reich's name has been bandied by those with terminal nostalgia disease.

Reality: you fire McD, it's a complete and total crapshoot as to what will replace him.

  11. It doesn't matter if she recants, from the stories:

    Quote

When police arrived, she had minor abrasions and bruising on her neck consistent with "pressure".

With that physical evidence, it is the District Attorney's prerogative whether or not to proceed with charges.

It's out of the girl friend's hands and into the hands of the DA, and Goodell. The questions going forward:

Is it one of those ambitious headline seeking DAs?

What will Goodell do with it?

  12. To all those saying "clean house" and "we're a mess" I say the Bills are just about average in their personnel problems. It's not the acute dumpster fire that people make it out to be. No matter who you sign, who you draft, and who you hire--statistically, you're gonna get personnel problems.

My point of reference? I was in military units about the same size as the Buffalo Bills. We had about the same number of problem children, substance abusers, and domestic issues that the Bills have. It's a fact of life. Deal with them when they arise.

Have some self-esteem as a Bills fan.
