He had no chance.
With that kind of patience from ownership, the Panther's will be perennial bottom feeders.

I agree with OP's analysis.
Such a viewpoint will be deeply unpopular and will garner many critical replies. There's probably three of us on the board thinking the same way.
-
I will say the un-sayable: Poyer and Hyde are ancient and have lost a step. They got burned on a TD last night.

I disagree with the premise, but I read the full post (and most of the replies) because you didn't call McDermott a stupid nickname.

Your analysis is correct.
You're pissing in the Wheaties of the Madden-types who play in cheat-mode and say things like "the cap isn't real," and they imagine all players want to play in Buffalo.
You'll be flamed.

Yeah he is a dumb player, I don't know a more respectful way to say it.
If we had signed DeAndre Hopkins in the offseason I think we would have a minimum of 3 more wins right now. Brandon Beane completely failed his franchise's biggest investment.
You don't know what went on between Beane and DeAndre Hopkins.
Though, you can surmise from how things have played out: DeAndre is WR1 in Tennessee, he had little interest in being Buffalo WR2, splitting touches with Diggs and whoever was going play slot-type WR (that turned out to be Kincaid).

I doubt it. A lot of GMs will see that missed route from last night.

Dropping my son off at college in the Cleveland area after Tgiving. Getting there around 3-4. Anyone got a good Bills bar in Cleveland, preferably east side? Thanks!
If you can't find a legit Bills bar, a good plan B is Buffalo Wild Wings. Cleveland has two.
One of their TVs has gotta be on the Bills game.

Temps in the mid 40s and 90% chance of rain from 4-7pm…..probably not gonna be a big passing day, but I guess we’ll see. Go Bills!
Oh, that's not good. We'd have to rely on Cook/Murray against the league's number 1 rushing defense.
National Weather Service "Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible." That's a nothing burger weather wise. Let's hope they're right.

Rodgers feels guilt..?
He would be a good Catholic if it weren't for the Ayahuasca.

I think the Joe Brady's play calling in this game will be key to how this team is positioned to make a run till the end of the year.
...
The Eagles have the number 1 rushing defense in the league. They stuff the run.
In light of that, I predict Joe Brady will revert to what Joe Brady knows best: passing. I expect a pass heavy game. There won't be much of Cook or Murray. Fournette won't even be active. I hope Brady is good. The positive news is there is only one game of tape on Brady, so his tendencies are unknown at this time.
Bills Defense: the Eagles are going to light us up. Holding the Jets to 6 was child's play and is not a predictor of performance against a good team.
The game will come down to Brady's play calling and which Josh Allen shows up.

...and that Big Baller Beane traded up and jumped the Cowboys to pick up Kincaid is just icing on the cake.
(the Cowboys were thought to be gunning for Kincaid with their pick)
Anything detrimental to Jerry Jones just warms my heart.

I lived nearby when it opened. The place is only 26 years old. That's a teenager in public infrastructure years, not even.
No hot water? What a dump.
Crummy neighborhood also.

Amazing what a haircut does to a guy
Yeah, that's why I get a buzz cut every 5 weeks. I'd go more often if the barber weren't so expensive.
No. 1 on the sides. No. 2 on top. A habit from my military days.

You're right, Gardner is a punk. I didn't like seeing Diggs get slammed, but it had a silver lining in seeing Gardner lose his cool.
I had to Google the word suplex.

I love this bipolar place.
After loss, it's all knives and pitchforks.
After a win, it's land of milk and honey optimism.
It's been a pleasure to read today. Last week was rough.

Is Leonard Fournette playing today? Really hope so.I don't know. I'm excited about Fournette but Latavius Murray did a good job on his few carries last week.

Good. I'd like to see them use up their draft capital in a trade. The long-term implication would be good for the Bills.

The Bills absolutely have to win 2 of their next 3 to stay in the playoff hunt.

Today is a must win.
Yep. Today is a must win. I will forgive losses in KC or Philly.
The mood here Monday will be FOUL if they lose today.
If they lose, I may take a hiatus from reading fan boards. They would be dominated by low-quality rants and be depressing to an unhealthy extent.

Zach Wilson has McDermott’s number! And probably his wife’s number too but that’s for a different thread
I see what you did there. That's pretty funny, especially given ZW's reputation.

I used to look forward to Bills games these last few years, because I felt a victory was likely.
Now I'm not so certain. These could be drought quality Bills and that makes game days less enjoyable. I'm just not bubbling with confidence that Joe Brady can do it.
Coach firings should be in the offseason.

There are 32 teams and Araiza isn't playing for one of them.
What is keeping him out of the NFL?
I thought his name was cleared. I say sign him.
-
The years of despair. Here are some names to stir up bad memories:
Gregg Williams
Mike Mularkey
Dick Jauron
Perry Fewell
Chan Gailey
Doug Marrone
Rex Ryan
Remember... those coaches were ostensibly the best hire available, the hottest name of those willing to move to WNY.
When I assess the performance of the current regime, I contrast it with the above names. If you fire McDermott and replace him with the newest fad best hire available, it is statistically likely you hire a dud and we're back to years of futility.

The Bills need a Penalty Reduction Consultant

Nah.
The Bills need a new kicker.
Two missed field goals. Have those, and there is no OT.
