  1. I still like yesterdays theory that the Bills are throwing stuff around OBD to track down where these leaks are coming from.

Could be. We did this at work once. We confided a unique piece of made-up data with a suspected leaker.

The data ended up in general population within 2 hours. We then had a serious conversation with the loose-lips employee.

  2. Let's hope BN recovers from this and tightens up their content. Fans need multiple reliable sources.

Articles today by Roth and Maiorana basically calling BS on the Sully, Bucky and Carucci tabloid reporting. Nothing better than a good old media cat fight.

Cat fight ... gave me a good visual.

Peterman: Well, I see what's going on in here. I am smack dab in the middle of a good old fashioned cat fight.

Elaine: Mr. Petermen, this is not a cat fight. This is violent psychotic behavior directed at me all because I told her to swing her arms.

    Peterman: Woof!

    Elaine: Do you mean "reer?"

Petermen: Yes, that's the one! Good day Elaine. [Leaves.]

  3. There is no story here. Pegs hasn't the gumption to tell his two big boys this and even if he did, it is no big deal. The Bills will miss the playoffs and they'd be fired with or without this "warning", or at least Rex will. The question is, will he fire Rex when he's 3-5 by mid-season? I doubt it.

Do you have first hand knowledge of TP that we don't? I think a guy who turned a $10,000 loan into a net worth of 3.8 billion would have plenty of gumption.

  4. I'm sure tomorrow's PC will involve talking about how they wanted to make the playoffs but their end of season wins against a moribund Dallas team and the Jets give them hope for the future.

What won't be addressed is how, with the same management in place, the result will be different in 2016.

They also won't talk about why it's acceptable to spend 125M+ in guaranteed money this season to go 8-8.

Management needs to be held accountable for getting the tools and failing to make the playoffs despite playing the NFCE and AFCS.

My pre-emptive apology for being a "hater."

    Are you a union employee?

  5. There's a little extra in it for the Bills to have a hometown kid…someone that won't bellyache about the nightclubs and fly home on his days off.

Those that think he's going to be stolen in the 6th or as a UDFA are forgetting the premium on the QB position. Kaepernick was projected 4th/5th and went in the 2nd. Russell Wilson projected 4th-6th, went in the 3rd. Ponder…Tanny-hill…Barkley….Garappolo , Locker...EJ etc.

If you think he's got pro potential, want the guy and he's there top of round 3, you have to trade up and get him. I don't think I could live with getting "Gronk'd" by Chad for 20 years should a divisional rival get him!!!!! (Jets, Fins and Pats could all use QB's of the future)

Good point on the premium on the QB position. It's an insane premium, but it is reality.

I refine my comment from before: if Chad comes out early, he's a UDFA. If he stays for a full college run (is he a Junior, it's hard to tell with his transfers?), he will be a round 4 to 7 guy. At least that's what my water pitcher told me while I was writing a manifesto in my hotel room last night.

  6. Ha! I posted the youtube of that when they first wore blue on blue this year.

Well, if you read the accounts of Less-than-Super Mario, The Bills have suffered harm from one of their own. :bag:

In military justice terms, some Commanders would charge Mario with shirking or malingering.

  7. I read the subject line and shuddered.... the Bills season has gotten this bad, a blue-on-blue incident?

    Thankfully, just a uniform issue.

(Blue on blue is a term for a friendly fire incident, or generally speaking: when your forces harm your own forces)

  8. Prediction: Rex runs some Jim Schwartzianesque plays which unleashes a sack attack on Fitz.

Why does Rex change his method:

    1. to show that he can be adaptable as a Coach, while being under fire for the opposite
    2. because the Jets won't expect a sack attack
    3. as a gesture to Mario Williams (either an outgoing gesture.. or a move to soften the battlefield for contract renegotiations

    Whether this results in a W ... t.b.d.

  9. Redirecting the original question: Why would any college coach want to go into the NFL?

From all appearances, college coaching looks more rewarding and enjoyable.

I'd rather coach kids struggling to make something of themselves than a "professional athlete" with a signing bonus that exceeds my life income.

If you're a college coach with better than a .500 record, you're King of the Campus.
