I know I could do my own research but too busy right not. What is required for someone to be put on a no-fly list?

They're pretty secretive about how people end up on the no-fly list--an understandable position from a security standpoint. If the secret sauce about how you "ended up" on the fly list came out, the bad guys would game-around it.

The secretiveness of the fly list process should be a red flag for it's use for other purposes. Who can say which pol (Dem, or Repub) won't change the secret rules to political advantage?

I said this in a different post, and I'll say it again: The fly list is maintained by bureaucrats, GS-9 intel analyst types, working in a sweat shop basement of some Federal building, eating sandwiches and coffee from vending machines at 3 AM. That is not how a civil right should be withheld. (Right to fly is less than a civil right.. so I'm OK with how the maintain the fly list).

  2. Once again, short of nationwide mandatory confiscation of all firearms from civilians, no gun law would have prevented this.

    Not a seven-day waiting period.

    No “gun show loophole” applied.

    Limits on how much ammunition a gun can carry at one time might have had a marginal impact;

there’s little sign the shooters encountered much resistance at the social services facility. Initial reports indicated they had as much time to reload as they needed and brought multiple weapons.

These two put a lot of preparation into this: both of them were dressed in tactical gear and carrying assault rifles, officials said. That level of preparation is among the factors investigators are weighing as they examine a motive for the attack.
Chief Jarrod Burguan of the San Bernardino Police Department said at a news conference that the attack did not seem to be “a spur-of-the-moment thing.”
The vehicle also contained so-called “rollout bags” with multiple pipe bombs, as well as additional ammunition. The couple also had GoPro cameras strapped to their body armor and wore tactical clothing, including vests stuffed with ammunition magazines. “That’s a military tactic for a sustained fight,” That’s the sort of thing you bring if you want to make videos to terrorize other people, and rally others to their cause or ideology…
it also would explain why they left the scene instead of staying to shoot it out with police at the social services facility. They intended to live to tell the tale, at least for a while.
Each detail of this story adds one more layer of “what the hell?”
The couple didn’t leave behind a note at Inland Regional. But they did stash three explosive devices — rigged to a remote-controlled toy car — that didn’t go off. See, when your perpetrators are using explosive devices, it’s stupid to argue that gun control laws are the right solution here.

Well stated! Preach on. No amount of gun control would have stopped the shootings, nor the IED they were going to use next. Carry the message forward!

Ahallu Akbar. I blame the nra

Thank you George Soros for your paid talking point.

  3. More proof that the whining about the defeat of the "ban gun sales to those on Terror Watch" was all for show.

FBI notified when someone on terror watch list tries buy gun http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/03/politics/people-on-terror-lists-cleared-to-buy-guns/index.html?eref=rss_topstories

Thank You GOP for protecting due process.

I'm not a GOP apologist. But yes.. thank you GOP for protecting due process.

The "watch list" is maintained by a bunch of civil-servants, GS-9 like... working in a federal sweat shop.

To have your civil rights over-ridden by a GS-9 filling quotas in the basement of a Federal building, eating sandwiches and coffee from a vending machine, is unconstitutional.

Gun violence here is much worse and more prevalent than in our European peers, who are the countries we are closest to. Why do you think we're so much different?

My theory is access and violent exposure. It's part of the price we pay for having easy access and a cultural movie/game obsession with violence.

I love myself a Tarantino movie as much as anyone and I've played Grand Theft Auto and carjacked 1000 cars, so I admit to being part of the problem so I'm just asking the question--not pointing fingers.

Sure, "gun violence" may be more here. But without guns, people will find other ways to maul each. Europe, generally, is much more violent than the US just not "gun violence" Allot of the countries in that article have very stringent gun control laws. Our crime rate could be lower because of all the citizens who carry.

  5.

You're right, I'm not there, I don't have direct, first-hand information. You win, nicely done.

    Sorry.. I wasn't in a contest :(

Actually, my rumor interpretation aligns with yours quite a bit.

I just want Bills fans to vent more on what they see on the field and the scoreboard (and we can be pissed for sure).

I do remember public display of jaw-boning between DM and DW.. but not sure what is was about.

  6.

But wasn't it rumored that __________

I loves me some post based on rumors and suppositions.

... and if a second coaching staff has reached the same conclusion ....

And then double down on the rumor by adding conjecture (the if) that the current staff has reached the same conclusion.

...And by the way, EJ was a similar battleground for those two, and a similar result has occurred....

And add more guesses (we really don't know what happened between DW and DM).

Whaley is hanging by a thread in my estimation, fair or not.

Very possible. But your arguments are based on what you think happened behind the scenes at OBD. Pegs will make his decisions on what he knows (surely more than you or I know) happened at OBD.

I'm not calling DW dead man walking.. primarily because what I know, he's built a pretty good roster without raping the piggy bank (to much).

  7. Whaley has asembled a very talented, young upcoming team whose coach has brought them down. I expect Rex to stay and Whaley to leave as Rex gets more power from Peggy to turn things around. Rex is a gm killer. Jets lost two under his watch...yes ,,under. He stayed and they hired a new GM that had to keep Rex the first year per owner Johnson. History will repeat itself as Rex will sell him as the saviour to this team/franchise.

I think Pegs is smarter than to let RR gain more power. It's patently evident RR can't deal with what he has on his plate now--Peg's can see that. He won't give him more power.

  8. Unfortunately Im proud to say that i called Rex a blowhard loser since day 1.

Just go about your phocking business Rex instead of a Bills Truck, eating dog biscuits, putting on a Clemson helmet, giving players wristbands, calling out the Pats in week 2 etc....

I'll say it again.. for context.. Belichek went 5-11 his first season with the Pats, deposing RR at this point, would be stupidity.

  9.

I said in my post that I'm glad the Pegulas are keeping the Bills in Buffalo. In fact, what is happening right now is what I'm expecting because I was against the Ryan hire from the start. Jets fans criticized him for not utilizing his challenges and terrible in-game adjustments and situation awareness and he has not improved on either aspect. He also took a good defense last year and made in worse particularly not using the D-Line when they were healthy to this potential. Rex is a not a good coach, let's not pretending at this point, we have nearly 5 seasons of evidence of that and Pegulas should've done their research on Rex Ryan before they hired him.

Good Reply. Valid points. I just differ on the time-frame.. I suggest hiring or firing a HC or GM, needs to be done on more than one season of results. ...and I say that even though my A-- H--- hurts from today.

  10. I was afraid of this happening. Look how they ran the Sabres into the dirt, and they were a good team! This coaching staff is an F-ing joke! To ruin a great defense with pure arrogance is appalling, play calling is so junior high it's sickening, and don't even get me started on the douchebag coaching the special teams!

    F$%k Whaley, too~

The Sabres that are doing pretty good now??

  11. You, young man.. or young girl.. need to get a grip.

    1. The only reason the Bills are in Bflo to make you upset is because of TP.

    2. If you expect instant NFL winnings because of one season of changes... you are wrong.

It's premature at this point to be raging at TP or RR. For context: Belicheck was 5-11 his first season with the Patsys.

  12. Round 1, pick the best player available

Round 2, pick the best player available

Round 3, pick the best player available

Round 4, pick the best player available

Round 5, pick the best player available

Round 6, pick the best player available

Round 7, pick the best player available

Then when the smoke clears, you fix your positional gaps that remain by Free Agency.

The draft is the drywall. Free agency is the mud and tape. Training camp is the sanding/priming/painting.

Oh.. in regard to OP: I believe it's too early to be judging TT a success or failure.

  13. ... Lets hope that Greg Roman that can break McCoy free....

    True dat.

Also, let's hope with the Patsy's focusing on McCoy, that will introduce a weakness somewhere else on the field to be exploited. Like, could it be a big game for our TEs as the inside attention shifts to McCoy?
