  1.

This has proven false many times in many places.

They should keep the Ralph in OP. It's the only option that makes any sense at all. The state has no interest in contributing significant money (every municipality will forever be looking at the sad situation that the goofballs in STL got themselves into) and the Pegulas know that a new downtown stadium will never bring a return on investment to justify its cost.

Yep. Pegs is a self made billionaire. He didn't start life with Dad's money. One thing he knows that other idiot-inheritance NFL owners don't: economics and investing.

    Good. I like the Ralph

Me too. The picture in the article shows the superior site lines the Ralph has in the bowl. Better site lines than many of these new stadiums.

    Great news for fans' wallets!

Yeah. For sure. WNY is not the land of richie-rich Fortune 500 executives. I think if they build a palace, many of us would be priced out.

What they should be looking at is ways to improve the transportation of fans to games from other areas and setting up areas for people to tailgate, perhaps using covered shelters, and keep their gear until end of game for some sort of fee. This will reduce the impact on roads, encourage more fans during poor weather and let them concentrate services in a smaller parking area,

Good points. It's not just the stadium that could be updated---the Ralph campus could use some upgrades.

I guess playing their games in a 1970s era stadium with few amenities and an unsympathetic family environment is what everyone wants so that's what they get. It's cheap. Democracy.

I support of full remodel of the Ralph. That would break the 70's theme. Though I don't know a fix for the family issue.

  2. I don't see Obama or Hillary on SCOTUS.

They have very little courtroom experience. If you're on the SCOTUS bench, you need court room litigation experience, lots of it, to be qualified. You also should be a published scholar.

They are patently unqualified. I don't think either of them would accept a nomination because then their legal experience will be publicly scrutinized with a fine tooth comb, it portends to be an embarrassment for them. I don't think they want to go through that.

Hillary had suggested Obama for SCOTUS, I think that was a ploy to curry his favor so maybe he'll scuttle an indictment of her DoS activities.

  3. .... It's time to really start developing guys.....

    You know it.

The Bills couldn't develop talent, primarily because they didn't have key prerequisites: stability at the starter position, and stability in the coaching staff.

I think the Bills are getting some stability and and are well positioned to pick a late round QB and develop him for a few years--like Baltimore did.

  4. I'm to the right of center, on the cusp of moderate and conservative.

Two liberal friends burned a bridge. They were celebrating Scalia's passing on FB.

Without saying anything political, I said I thought it was wrong to celebrate someone's death. They went ape ****.

This is one !@#$ed up world.

    RIP Justice Scalia.

  5. The way I heard it, batteries were being thrown during the fight and that means Shady and the gang were in danger. Thus they looked for a boat to escape and found one. Used the champagne bottle to get the exit from the club started on the boat. Last time I remember being from Buffalo- fight- it ends- and everybody leaves. End of story. Sure some broken bones and stuff but "Suck It Up". Just my take on the whole thing. A bunch of babys.

    Huh? Every Ready's or Duracell?

Please pardon this old man. In my silver years, I stay home home after dark.

  6.

    Now that's a big shock <===== sarcasm

We've already seen. The case may or may not be cut and dried, but warrants are still not issued. Ergo conclusions based upon quickness of warrant issuance (which has not yet occurred) not valid.

Why is this so difficult for you to acknowledge?

I respectfully request you explain the sarcasm.

    Is it:

    1. You believe the off duty officers have some special unwritten ticket to do what they want...

    or

    2. That the off-duty officers won't face charges, because they were on their backs on the floor getting their ass kicked resulting in fractured skulls

    Sarcasm.. it's hard to read.

  7. I just heard of Spence's demise :(

Suggestion: open this Youtube in one of your browser tabs (my favorite part is at 34:27). Then go read the rest of your Bills news in another tab.

Spence was the Joe Montana (and Jim Kelly) of music composition.

Then fill in the blanks below:

Tom Brady is the ____________ of music composition.

QB ________ is football's Milli Vanilli.

  8. Fricken 19 pages of 70% stupidity at this point.

Idiot posters making a big stink about "police officers." Dudes... wake up. They were off-duty in civilian attire. Being a police officer or not a police officer has no impact in this bar brawl. Police haters need an adjusted perspective.

What does have impact: reports of broken skulls. Whomever broke these persons skulls is in some serious **** (doesn't matter if the vics were police or not)

  9. I have said previously that they should draft a QB in rounds 5 to 7. But I'm rethinking that.

I have read a few articles that had the general message: there are many teams in bad QB straits and they will overvalue QB's (eg. pick a QB higher round than really deserved ).

I don't want the Bills to overpay for a QB. There will be some workable training camp arms in the UDFA ranks, and maybe a surprise.

  10. If the situation was reversed, and this guy was rebuffing giant offers from the NFL, like "Man refuses to release sole copy of first Super Bowl, NFL offers millions" I would think the guy was being a jerk, and I would be pissed, because I really want to see the game.

Superbowl I is available, not in broadcast format, but assembled from NFL films side line camera footage. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000620927/article/nfl-network-to-reair-super-bowl-i-for-first-time

And that's the entire Superbowl. Not a broadcast missing footage.

The NC dude should have taken the 30K check and walked.

  11. And this is the perfect example of a situation where the league could proactively step in and provide support and stability to help a player/former player. It wouldn't take much, and would be great PR at the price.

But will they? Of course not.

As HR staff (recovering), I've dealt with Manziel types in the past, including trying to save them. 9 out of 10 cases ended miserably.

If stepping proactively worked, there would be no heroin epidemic now.

Having said that: step in proactively at ALL TIMES.
