Yup LB and DE would be the first two picks if I was GM. They need at least two more decent LB's on the roster.

I agree they should be able to find some starters in the draft. My point is they lost talent (not necessarily good fits for the team) in Williams, Bradham and the others. Were any of them great last year for Buffalo? No. But they do have talent and with Buffalo's limited cap space they cannot replace them in FA. So they must do it in the draft which is the best place to do it in the first place. So no, I don't feel the roster will be more "talented" next year but yes I do expect the team to be "better" next season.

Look at what Whaley did last year. Got three meaningful contributors in 2nd, 3rd, 5th round. This draft is supposed to be deep at DE so if they can get a few key players in the draft that can play meaningful snaps there is a chance the roster could be better (but still unlikely)

No the roster will not be better unless they absolutely crush it in the draft. They lost a decent amount of talent and don't have the cap space this year to replace them. That's not to say that the team can't be better though by buying in and not having me first players like Mario that ruin the culture of the team.

I am not unhappy with them not having cap space. I don't think free agents are the best way to build a team. The draft is the best place for that so I like the fact they don't have too many holes and can try to fill them mostly in the draft. Should be interesting with Rob and Rex this season.

I may have been being a bit dramatic when I said they were in dire straights but they still have limited cap space even after restructuring Clay. They cannot afford anyone they want but they will be able to target a couple of players after they resign their own.

The Bills should do anything they can to retain Glenn. The best option would be to sign him long term but if push comes to shove they need to use the franchise tag on him. Even though he is a pathologist, I can't imagine he has access to scans of O.J.'s brain which I assume (but am not certain) would be the only way he could make such a statement with any type of certainty
