When you do that you are admitting your weakness as a coach. You can't get the best out of those players so you give them away even though it makes the team demonstrably worse. You then replace them with players you are comfortable with even though they aren't as good because they will buy in to your BS. This is a tire fire and it's only going to get worse when these bozos finally run out of snake oil to sell they will have left the team completely devoid of talent but full of guys who respect the process. You think the Sabres have been bad? Just wait.
