Sign him. We need OT help. We could start him at LT and move Glenn to RG. Sorry couldn't help myself.

I can understand that prediction if you assume he gets 300 carries (not unreasonable imo). I was being very conservative with the predictions I made above. Ambitiously D is #1, Shady is top 2, Sammy is top 7, and Clay is top 7.

I'm starting to get to the point where I am not just frustrated at Kromer's idiocy, but I am also frustrated at the leaking of information/handling of the matter. I think it has been >1 week since we first heard he was going to be fired. Then Vic reports the termination will be end of the week and now Joe B is reporting also a termination (although very short on any details). If the axe is above his head just let it fall; otherwise, put these rumors to bed. Have we heard anything from OBD besides he's on paid leave and we're working with NFL HQ. Either way I think his paid leave or employment ends this week.

I agree. As far as rankings at their fantasy positional group I expect it to be Defense (top 5) Shady (top 10) Sammy (top 15) Clay (top 20) Harvin, I expect to be available on the waiver wire if you like a matchup, but if you can't get him its probably better that he is sitting on someone's roster.

Shady trade will really set this team back
YattaOkasan replied to enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can not disagree with this enough. I assume the counting game is how our QBs will live actually. If there are >7 in the box throw it. If there are =<7 in the box then run the ball. I think Roman averages >1 TE on the field per snap so thats >6 blockers on the field per snap. I don't think playing nickel against us will be very successful (except in obvious passing downs). -

I like that your examples of poor moves haven't gotten a chance to play yet. Not to say they will work out but you probably could've gone with C Williams instead. -
We're actually going to see him with a different OC, and as many of the "apologizers" have said if he can't make it this year then the book is definitely closed. Its funny that most of the argument isn't about whether the book on EJ is closed, but rather what is the likelihood that he can put it together. I think I would be labelled as an EJ sympathizer, but then again I always Billieve.

What's The Chance We Keep MD The Dr. Of Defense 99% ?
YattaOkasan replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
3 million over the course of the contract or per year. One is ~3% increase the other is ~30% increase (for MD's contract). There are players who have decided to forgo the small increase to stay where they are successful. This past offseason one of those players was from GB (granted it was Buffalo not SD trying to pry him away with more money). I really think players consider their future success when making these decisions. -

So you think Jerry Hughes would not have been paid more by anyone else because I don't think he is on the Fred Jackson/Kyle Williams level of loyalty? I think there is at least some discount for being on a potentially historic D line/Defense. There is a risk assessment at the heart of this. How much less he would consider is the real question I would think. I think he will command top dollar but not Suh money. -
5 Bills RBs, 4 Spots Available?
YattaOkasan replied to RyanTalbotBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotcha. Agreed we have 3 short yardage specialists between Felton, Karlos, and Boobie, with the latter two trying to make the 53. I think Boobie's value, over Karlos (I think as I think you do too that both will be ST beasts), would be as a game day back up FB. As I said before I see him being able to fill two roles, and I think that would be valuable to Roman who likes to attack by disguise. Good points and god I can't wait til TC. -

While Karlos looks powerful, I don't see him as a FB. I just don't think hes got the mass to take on a DL or LB in the hole. Hard to bring down yes, but not sure he'll be effective as a FB. With that said, I think you make good points abou how Boobie could be odd man out; this would probably require Connor being brought to TC to be ready to go in case anything happens to Felton (I now don't think Connor makes the 53). Also there is always the fact that Roman and SF didn't resign Boobie. I still think Boobie will make the 53 though. -

I agree with this. I feel as if Dixon will learn the FB role. His flexibility could be very helpful in disguising plays and confusion among defenses. If Boobie is on in a 3 WR (Sammy, Woods, Harvin)/1 TE set on 3rd and short, there are 4 potential ball carriers (assuming Cassel isn't QB) and 2 potential lead blockers out of the back field. I like to think Roman wants this in his offense. -
Fixed that for you All the named players were on the offensive side of the ball. Including EJ, that's 9 players that regressed on one side of the ball (assuming you don't disagree that those players regressed). Seems to be indicative of a larger coaching problem. But yes Roman may not be silver bullet to fix the problems.

Projecting contracts for upcoming Bills FAs

Agreed, I also don't see how we resign everyone and keep Harvin. I am still very skeptical Harvin can be healthy all season. -

Agreed. Glenn's I do immediately and I also would take the estimate for Bradham. Here's hoping the cap goes up pretty high. Also I think McKelvin is going to be gone if the Dareus estimate is right. -
Great post thanks for the review. For the first time I noticed Thomas after the fumble score. He's in the middle of the field looking very disappointed and thinking the play was dead. His hands are on his hips; he's shaking his head; and thinking about how he just got beat again (and called for his third holding penalty). Meanwhile Jerry is making the strip, picking up the ball, and starting to run towards the endzone.

Good read on MarQueis' journey to Buffalo. I think he will get a lot of snaps this year (might even be our number two TE). http://bills.buffalo...ing-with-bills/ "At receiver in 2010, Gray caught 42 passes for 587 yards and five touchdowns. At quarterback in 2011 and 2012, he threw for 1,967 yards, rushed for 1,356 and scored 24 total touchdowns. Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill used the word “athlete” seven times in one response describing Gray’s game. In Kill’s first season, he insists Gray “single-handedly” beat Iowa down the stretch with his legs."

Also agree injuries. While our backups can play for a stretches in games, I don't think they can replicate the production of our starters.

Who's Gonna be the Primary Slot Receiver in 2015?
YattaOkasan replied to Storm Front's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wondering what you guys thought of this. Hogan, I envision, to be used more in 4 receiver sets because this personnel grouping will see more zone coverage, and his route running should have him open with our other 3 receivers out there. Basically obvious passing downs/formations I expect to see Hogan, and I expect to see him get a lot of targets because the defense will be keyed in on the other 3 receivers. Goodwin, I envision, to be used more in 3 receiver sets because he can blow the lid off the defense and will prevent safeties from creeping into the box. The choice for the defense basically being try to stop the run and give up a shot to Goodwin over the top, or keep Goodwin contained and allow us to run. Putting Goodwin out on 3 receiver sets will also allow Harvin to rest, which I think he'll need because he will get some touches out of the backfield. To summarize on second and short or first down, will be when Goodwin gets the bulk of his snaps. Hogan will see snaps in all situations, but I would be surprised not to see him on the field if its 3rd and long. -
I agree he will be challenged to make the roster, but I have him making the 53. I don't get the how of him getting injured at a track meet. OTAs and TC are another thing, but is Goodwin's participation in track meets actually a thing posters are worried about. I think others need to get Yolo's chicken little avatar.

Minimal risk of injury (is that better)? I am unsure the risk of running on a track.
