  1. YOU'RE talking about taking a developmental guy that doesn't exist. We can probably find better defensive talent in the 4th and 5th round than we can find a QBin the late first of this year's draft. Safety, LB, DT, DE, WR, K, OT, OG are all positions I would take before I even think about taking a developmental QB in this year's draft. I'd rather take a kicker like Roberto Aguayo in the 4th than waste one on a QB this year.
  2. His gimmicks don't work at this level. Taylor is NOTHING like Kaepernick. Tyrod can throw the ball and running is definitely not his primary asset. Taylor can throw, Kaepernick not so much. Tyrod is actually a great deep ball thrower and is accurate. He still has A TON of work to do but he has way more promise as a passer than Kaepernick ever did. My "analysis" isn't really that hard to understand. Run first QBs who can't throw can't survive in this league. What's so hard to understand? I don't get it.
  3. Did you not read my post out of ignorance? Like I said. This is one of the deepest defensive classes and defensive heavy draft. Do you need me to emphasize that more? Great defensive draft class. Weak QB class...Great defensive class. Weak QB class. Do the math. If this was a strong QB class, let's pick one up in the 1st! We should be playing to the draft's strengths. Not forcing the situation. I am right so why not get better at the other positions. Again. Tunnel vision. So you just wanna draft a QB every year and just hope he develops into a good QB? Dumbest idea I've ever heard.
  4. Way too small to play ILB or OLB for Rex's defense. Just look at who Rex has had over the years. Ray Lewis, Bart Scott, David Harris, Terrell Suggs, Adalius Thomas. Small LBs like Matakevich doesn't fit into Rex's defense. He would've fit in nicely with a Schwartz defense, definitely not Rex's.
  5. So you wanna fix our backup QB situation with another bad QB? Thank god you're not running the team. For one I didn't want the Bills to draft a QB then either. I didn't want Geno and sure as hell didn't want EJ and I was right. That was also a horrible draft class and I'm still not buying into this Wentz/Luck comparison. If the Bills take another QB early in this draft it's another missed opportunity to put another starter on the field at another needed position. We're still extremely weak at LB, D-line and Safety and that needs to be addressed as well and we still need help on o-line and WR. Outside of Hughes Dareus, our front 4 went from being a strength to weakness and this is such a defensive heavy draft, we can fix all of our defensive issues in one draft. If the Bills wanna take a QB in the 7th round, go ahead but what's the point? I'd rather stop with the Losmans, the Edwards, the Manuels and just get it right the next time. Being forced to draft a QB because a team has to is quite possibly the worst thing a team can do IMO. Yes it's the most important position on the team but it's also the most difficult to develop and evaluate. It's all luck, and pairing the right QB with the right HC in the right system. Develop the other positions first so the right QB you bring in already has all the right pieces around him. If you keep drafting the wrong guys, you end up in situations like the Dolphins and Bills for the last 15+ yrs where you bring in a different QB every 2-3 years and waste a career like an Eric Moulds. Build the line, fix the defense, and worry about a QB when the time is right. Draft the RIGHT guy at QB, not because you're forced to. I feel that so many teams get tunnel vision and feel the need to draft the next Peyton Manning that they forget that there are other ways of winning the 'ship.
  6. That's how I view it.
  7. RG3 was effective his rookie year. SO who gives a sht. Kaepernick sucks. NFL teams have figured him out and thats why QBs like him and RG3 will never succeed at this level. DC's are too smart.
  8. Developing QBs that have promise. Of course. Why wouldn't I? Not every QB is capable of being molded into a legitimate starting QB in this league. I mean so many people here think that every QB coming out of college is capable of developing into an NFL starting QB. Sorry to tell you but that's not the case. This is one of the worst QB classes to come out in recent memory in my opinion.
  9. That would be a horrible idea. As much as fans hate preseason, it's so essential for NFL teams to evaluate their roster.
  10. The U will never be the U again. The cockiness. Brashness, Arrogance, is all what made "The U," the "U" and that's what most people including myself were so intrigued about those teams and made them relevant. Those days are long gone. The U will NEVER be like those teams of the 80's, 90's and early 00's.
  11. If Jaylon Smith is available in the 2nd round we should draft him and redshirt him. In my opinion he's well worth the risk. I'm hoping we draft d-line in the 1st.
  12. Outside of Wentz I wouldn't touch any of these QBs with a 10 foot pole. I cannot believe people on here want a developmental QB from this draft class. These guys would not be an upgrade over EJ and that's a fact. I'm not saying EJ has been good but god forbid Taylor goes down, you'd trust someone like Dak Prescott over EJ Manuel? Don't see much of a difference. Sign a veteran FA QB and move on. Colt McCoy, Matt Moore, Luke McCown would be some FA QB's i'd take a look at.
  13. This is Rex's doing so don't blame the front office. You knew as soon as he became our HC, he was gonna do this. If you didn't know then you obviously haven't been paying enough attention.
  14. What would a penalty box do? It's not like hockey where offense turns to defense so quick and sides change rapidly. So if a defensive player gets a penalty and has to sit in the penalty box for 5 minutes while his offense is on the field, what's the point in having this? Personally I like the soccer approach to this but with a slight alteration. 2 "yellow cards" for unsportsmanlike conduct in a season and you're suspended for the season. No pay, no money, no check. Nada.
  15. Have you even seen him play? Wouldn't call it borderline NFL level at all. Borderline Canadien Football League level and right up there with Arena Football League level.
  16. This is probably one of my favorite shows on TV right now but this half season has been thoroughly disappointing. Everything just seems so rushed and while FINALLY seeing Jesus is awesome, no one cares about anything else. I think the fans just want to get to the Rick vs Saviors battle but we all know we'll have to wait until next season for that. I doubt we'll see Negan until the season finale.
  17. I saw a HUGE drop in his play this year. Maybe a switch to Safety would be beneficial but it doesn't work all the time. Not sure about this move. But then again I'm against building a team through free agency and aging players.
  18. Suck it up. This is a good move.
  19. He's gonna need to check his ego aside and take an ENORMOUS paycut. I don't see it happening.
  20. I stopped reading/caring after Bleacher Report...
  21. LB in a 34 is not overrated. Probably just as important as the front 3, if not MORE important. Front 3 does all the dirty work to keep the LBs clean but LBs are always the one that make the plays behind the LOS and in coverage.
  22. You're welcome. But try thinking before you post next time. Might help from further embarassment.
  23. There's this thing called the NFL draft. Ever heard of it? It's pretty neat.
