Ughhh. Remember that heartbreaker (dropped pass last minute).

Is there anyplace in SoCal to talk any football?

Slim pickings. Lots of bandwagon Chargers fans, though they seemed to have disappeared lately. Raiders fans who seem to just love the merch without knowing anything about football. And of course the obligatory, insufferable Cowboys fans.

So yeah, some of the worst NFL fans.

  2. Born and raised in Southern California. I've never been to Buffalo. I can't just go down to a local bar and chat it up with Bills fans. There are none in my neck of the desert. TSW is the only place I can go to talk about this team that I inexplicably became a fan of in early 1989 (ironically the day they lost the AFCCC against the Bengals). So here I am Bills brothers and sisters.

  3. I don't consider the Bengals to be some unbeatable juggernaut. But they are a good team, and I don't like how the Bills' zone defense matches up with their quick-pass offense. I think the game will come down to getting stops in the red zone (FGs vs TDs) where the field of play is compressed. But what the hell do I know, I just watch football from my couch on Sundays (not sarcasm).

Picking off the guy who leads the NFL in turnovers since he got to the NFL, isn't exactly saying much lol

I wasn't advocating for the guy (though I don't hate the trade). Just surprised so many have "never heard of him." I'm hoping he turns out a good as the last DB we took from Green Bay.

  5. It's been less than a year since he tore his ACL. It takes time to heal and get strength back. He was playing very straight-legged and upright. Hopefully he's at least 90% by January when he'll really be needed. But for now, he needs game time to help get all his functional abilities back. Not all strength is built in the gym.

  6. Hard to say for me. The first 35 minutes, the Bills looked like the team that played against the Dolphins. The last 25 minutes, they looked like the team that played Jags, Giants, and Pats.

Gabe was used in different ways. Shakir and Kincaid are finally getting more touches. Josh was quick and decisive (with strategic runs and slides thrown in). So there certainly were some improvements in the offense's play which leaves me optimistic, but cautiously so.

Absolutely.  Needed a win and got it.  Style points mean nothing.

Style points don't count. You're absolutely correct. I don't think anyone is mad that the Bills won. But the way in which you win can give you insight into future results. And the way they won this game gives many a bad feeding about the rest of the season. That's understandable, no?

Ben Johnson has a lot of the same problems that Dorsey has. His offense is Goff and St. Brown. St. Brown is getting around 12 catches a game while everyone else has less than 5. They're struggling to work Jameson Williams and Jamir Gibbs into the offense. Everyone loved Sam LaPorta, but he has not gotten the ball in the past two games at the same rate. If that was the Bills, you would be yelling about the scheme. I'm not saying that he's not a good OC, but you have to look at his offense with the same level of criticism as you do the Bills offense and Dorsey.

Quit showing me the weeds when I'm just trying to see if the grass is greener.

You forgot von Miller who took up the money we could have used on a devante Adam's/aj brown caliber wr opposite Diggs..another blunder by our defense minded hc who is suited for the nfl 20 years ago

What does that have to do with the fact that Von has the leadership and respect of his team mates to call this kind of meeting? Nothing.

He earned the C on his jersey for a reason, and it's not because he cashed his checks, packed it in, and took his time coming back. It's because he worked his tail off to come back from a torn ACL in 10 God damned months! What's wrong with some of you guys?

Imean, I know "fan" is short for "fanatic." But some of you guys air your strange grievances in the most illogical ways.

“Josh’s 3 points at half also put the Bills in position to lose the game”

Those are your words right? Sure  sounds like you are putting all the blame on him to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nice. Choosing to leave out a huge part of my statement in order to further you stance. Here's my complete statement (again, with the underlines and bold print to assist you):

Josh's 3 points in the first half also put the Bills in position to lose that game. This is a team sport, the fails don't fall solely on anyone. I love Josh, he's the QB I want for this team, but the offense has been putrid for the last 3 weeks, and bad for 5 of the 7 games. Josh deserves part of the blame for this as well, no?

Bro, just admit to yourself that you made a mistake and move on. It's for the best.

Let's say those things didn't happen. Is 10 points in the half against this weak defense a good outcome? What about getting shut out until the 4th quarter last week against that terrible Giants defense? Or 7 points in the first half the week before?

I am not placing all of the blame on Josh. I love the guy. My point was that no one person deserves all of the blame. But Josh has not been playing well.

It’s all Josh right. Nothing to do with anyone else on O just Josh. 🙄

Here, I underlined and added the bold print to make it easier for you.

Trade him then, get a kings ransom. MCD can put all the picks towards his D and we can watch the players get put in and out of the lineup for four years before any of them start to contribute.

Like Josh said last week, people outside don’t know the reads, don’t know the progression. You ***** guys look at still pictures and think every man is open and Allen sees all of them despite the ***** protection he has.

Put in Kyle Allen for a ***** quarter and see how it ***** goes. Lmao.

Josh ain’t playing his best but he’s far from our ***** problem.

Maybe look at Murray who took the penalty to negate the TD and Bass who missed the ***** FG as well. Be 10-10 at half if it wasn’t for those mistakes

Yep.  Josh may like shotgun, but they are more effective under center.  McBeane may want 12 and 21 personnel, but safe ball control football is not the way.

Josh cooks under 11 personnel.  What the hell are they doing when Harty gets 1 catch and McD pulls him.  The fastest guy on the team except for Isabella.

Stop with this insistence on ball control and 12 personnel.  Josh likes throwing it downfield and to WR’s and is darn good at it.

Stop with handcuffing Josh running.  It’s not working.  It’s a big part of his game.

We drove in Q4 twice for TD’s because we went 11.  We also have success in empty.

The defense is seriously hurt by the losses of Daquan, Milano, Tre and temporarily Oliver.  Our defense works with interior pressure.  We had none yesterday and made Mack look all world.

This was most pathetic loss of the McD era.  You guys know me and I’m very positive about my Bills because I love them and have been in McBeanes corner, but something dramatic needs to  change

I can’t watch another performance like this with Tampa.  Besides I’ll never hear the end of it from all of my friends in Tampa.

Coach McDermott doesn't have issues benching guys when they make key mistakes. Yet Knox keeps getting the start. He needs to ride the bench with Kincaid getting the start. And like you said, 11 personnel seems to give the Bills a better shot.

Pffft, Von Miller 🤦‍♂️ Old, washed-up, overpaid loudmouth.

2 time SuperBowl champion, SuperBowl MVP, future HOFer, and a guy who has worked his @ss off to join his brothers on the field after an ACL tear less than a year ago... yeah he deserves no respect from his teammates.

I really try to remain civil here, but your take is ridiculous.
