Few weeks ago, we literally had no one besides Oliver at DT. This signing makes sense.

Side note. I ran into Clowney a couple of weeks ago in Cancun. I also met some Bills fans there. The mafia is everywhere!

I'd be willing to trade up with the Chargers (or in front of them) for Mitchell.
-
It's my understanding that he is Would's more confident brother.

Before his 2nd season ending injury, they were experimenting with Doyle at guard. So there's that.

Bass regressed last year. Haack, I suspect, is here to coach Martin how to hold for field goals.

Hopefully he will be better than Jeff Tuel
It's never going to be "Toohill Time."

Coming out of college, I liked Rondale Moore more than Elijah Moore. Thought he'd be a good YAC guy for a creative OC.

For every Julio Jones, there's a Sammy Watkins. The Bills have a lot of picks, and a lot of holes they need to fill with cheap contracts.

WR needy team let’s cheap young wr walk.
He's always been more of a big slot to me. Doesn’t really fit our need for speed and YAc outside.
I liked Hodgins early on when I thought Josh needed a wide catch radius guy with great hands. Now, I want Josh to have playmakers.

I think it's absolutely nuts that the comp pick formula is a secret. We're just supposed to trust that they are awarding the picks fairly and honestly.

Just needs to stay healthy. He was playing at all-pro levels before his injury last season. The season before, I thought he was our defensive MVP.

Interesting. Over the cap and sporttrac had a restructure getting us 23 mill in cap room.
It all depends how much of his base salary they agree to turn into a bonus. They could have agreed on a different amount. So it could've been up to 23 mil. Also could have been less than 16 mil. I hope that makes sense.

Actually, I'd have to say Shakir. I don't think he's "broken out" yet. I like the way he finished this last season on an upward trajectory.

Let's see how our new DC and db coaches see him. He's an athletic, studious young man who has shown big moment ability. I'm looking forward to seeing how he develops.

I like Rousseau. Elite run defender as a DE. Okay as a pass rusher. The tricky part is the money. The 5th year option means a sizeable bump in pay, which then creates an expectation for the next contract. If my understanding is correct, the 5th year option for Groot would put him at the average of the 3 - 25 highest paid DEs in the league. Is he worth that much?

Wow, didn’t think you would double down after that first obnoxious post. Interesting strategy.
If only we could cut or trade some of the fans who post on TSW. I'm all for discussing difficult, team-building decisions in a logical, thoughtful, respectful way. This thread is not that.

So, Spencer Brown, WOULD SAY YOU!?
I read it as, "So Spencer Brown would say, 'you?'"

Mahomes is a really good quarterback. No doubts there. But I'm kind of tired of the undeserved ball washing like he's the reason for their win on Sunday. People talking about him like he's the chosen one. But I can't remember the last time he made a play or throw that made me say, "wow, only two or three qbs in the NFL could've done that.
He plays efficiently. He's accurate. But Reid could've won that superbowl with 10 other QBs behind center. Mahomes was throwing to wide open receivers. Or maybe I'm just a bit of a hater. But Josh Allen is the more impressive QB in my opinion.

Not until we improve our defense. It's not at the level of either these two teams yet. Defense still wins championships. See the Niners in OT.
I think the defense we had at the beginning of the season was certainly superbowl caliber. But they are aging and were just beat up at the end of the season.

Coaching. Reid is one of the, if not the best offensive minds in the game. Decades of honing his craft. And since he's HC, he's not going anywhere (unless he retires). And Spags is the guy who shut down the Cheaters in the SB twice.
This as well.
I mean, how often does Mahomes throw to a wide open receiver? Reid is amazing at what he does.

I was told that he was only getting interviews because of the Rooney Rule. No way he's actually respected around the league for being a good coach.

What a bunch of boneheads. Everyone knows you need a head coach with an offensive background. Idiots.
But maybe he's hard-nosed and blunt.

Apparently, Daboll is the one with a long history of being a difficult person to coach with.

I'd prefer an x receiver. But ultimately, this team needs playmakers. Guys that will step up in big moments to make a play. I'd take this guy over receiver 6.
