Give the man credit, that block was a thing of beauty.
That's what I'm saying. It was a great block by Gabe. Shakir doesn't even get a first down without that block.
I just hate how inconsistent pass plays going to Gabe turn out.

But these misses seem to happen most often with Davis. I thought that the passing game looked a lot less frenzied and much more efficient after he went out of the game. Now whether this was the result of Allen settling down or that Davis is a bit of a lose cannon on pass play patterns is unknown.
One thing I will say is on Shakir's long run after the WR screen Davis threw a hell of a block to spring him.
That was a 7 yard gain without Gabe taking out 2 defenders. But yes, throwing to him is almost literally a coin flip. You can't trust a 50% guy... yet Josh keeps going to him despite the frequent negative plays that often result.

Ryan Tannehill wants to give the Titans organization one last win for the road. He’s reflecting on his five years in Tennessee and hopes to win one more. Said as such this week in an interview.
With recency bias being a thing, I'm sure he would also like to put some good game film out there for a decent contract in the off-season. I haven't read that he's retiring.

Agree. Harty on punt returns has been a huge disappointment. Seems like he’s always dancing and not making one cut and getting up field.
Defense has been playing well. The last two weeks our offense has not played complimentary football.
Harty's big play hunting is going to lead to another costly fumble. He scares me every time he returns a punt.

Brady did a lot to fix the running game. We need something to get improvement in the passing game. It's been trash for a few weeks now.
-
They've certainly improved. But so has Josh's pocket awareness. There have been games where he is running for his life and avoids the sacks.
I believe, last I saw, the Bills were like 11th in pressures allowed, but 1st in sacks allowed.

The Ravens in Baltimore.
I would rather not play an away game.
We need to close 2-0 and take the #2 seed.
Assuming the Browns beat the AFC S winner, the Bills likely get the winner of Miami v KC at home.
So if the Browns are everything that they are billed to be, we will be playing the Browns for the Super Bowl in Buffalo. Would be an epic game.
So wild. A few weeks ago the Bills were dead in the water. Now they're potentially two wins away from the 2 seed.

Fred Taylor in the hall of fame? What am I missing here...
Hall of Careers That Might Have Been. Dude was always injured.

Daquan was playing himself into a nice next contract. I feel bad he got injured, but damn am I glad he's coming back for the playoffs (Bills better get in now).

Unexpected losses happen every week. It will all shake out in our favor. NO WAY that everything goes against us if we win out. These negative scenarios would only play out if we lose 1 of our next 3.
Easiest path to the playoffs is to win the division.

Act like Mahomes did towards the refs during a game, and you get ejected... just saying.
-
That would explain why he looked so stiff switching from the back pedal to running with the receiver. I thought maybe he had a hip injury. But if you can't plant your foot and turn, your fluidity is gone and you'll lose a few steps trying to cover your guy.

I see Hyde retiring. These neck injuries keep coming up this season. After the scare last year, I don't see why he would risk coming back. He's made his money. The next contact won't be worth the risk. I'm worried about him, I can't imagine how his family feels every time he makes a tackle.

I don't know, man. The Jacksonville game wasn't on the "road" either. Didn't help much there. I don't really care about the venue anymore. I just want the Bills to show up. When they do, they can beat anyone.

Ms. Davis,
Your son seems like a very stand-up young man. He's a good leader, and hard worker. I promise you, that Bills mafia wanted him to succeed here. But throwing to him is essentially a coin flip over the past two seasons. In the off-season, I really do hope a team gives him enough money to buy you a nice house and set you and him up for life. Respectfully, I hope that team is not the Bills.
Sincerely,
Bills fan

Improvement by the defense is tied to offensive improvement. It's...dare I say it...complementary football.

This win didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about the playoffs, but it's still a win.
I understand what you mean, but the chiefs are a top 5 defense, and still one of the best teams in the NFL. Quality win.
But we did see Brady get out-coached in the second half by a veteran DC. We have to expect something of a learning curve for our young OC. Hoping this was a good experience for Brady.

Idk what you’re talking about? Buffalo has played TEs very well this year. Name one TE who has went off on us
Also, this defense held KC to 20 points last time they played. In okay with criticism of McDermott, but damn some people just let their hate cloud their judgements.

The Bills miss playoffs looking like one of the best teams in the NFL down the stretch, and better than the majority of the teams that will represent the AFC in the playoffs in this bizarre season.
I am convinced this is our “Billsy” fate.
I'll hold out hope until it's over, but I worry that you're correct. The Bills made the switch to Brady too late, when it's been clear all season that the offense was stuck in the mud.
-
There are still 5 regular season games to go. A lot can happen in that time. Just a few short weeks ago, I was a passenger on the Don't Fire McDermott train. But now, I can see it pulling in to the station.
Most owners want to win because that is how they sell tickets. Changing coaches can be a means to get those wins. But Buffalo is different. History shows that these fans will pay for a crap product.

McDermott makes more in a year than Jauron did in his whole tenure. So if anything, McD is a rich man's Jauron.
That said, not sure I agree, but I see the comparison.
Will Sherfield be better in the #2 role than Davis???
