The point is they are FUN TO WATCH. Amazing what having a QB and opening up the offense does....

Spot on & while I knew nothing except that he was the Bills pick @ #7 I had to believe and I did . Yep patting myself on the back. I saw all that year one and commented on the lousy receiving core and lack of weapons (oh & the drops too). The only thing holding him back year's 1-2 was McD, which I said over & over (oh & yes Daboll too). As soon as they let him throw everything changed (if only they started that process earlier😉).

You think?????😜😉 He was ready to dump Brady years ago and when over ruled by Kraft gave away Garoppolo for pennies on the dollar...... -

The joke about NE draft day, was who'd they "Trade Down" with (listen & read too much to Bill Simmons). Belichick got lucky with a 6th round pick & an injury to his starter (no genius there). The QB position is by far the most important position and Brady helped by taking less then what he deserved. They hit on some picks (as does every GM) and did sign a few skill position players. Just to show what a QB means one needs to look no further then Randy Moss. One of the greatest receivers all time, in 2006 Andrew Walter & Aaron Brooks were the QB's of a 2-14 team. NE got Moss for a 4th round pick. 2006 42 catches and 553 yards. With Brady he goes 98,69 & 83 for 1,493, 1,008 & 1,264 and 23,11 & 13 TDs.... The QB makes the receiver. Add to that FA's on his own team that won't resign at below market value, which they often did & the fact Belichick is known to discard players as soon as they show any sign of faltering, NE is no FA destination if they do not have Brady and are not a SB caliber team. Good luck in Belichick replicating that.... -

One thing to attract FA's when you have Brady, another to get FA's when you have a Coach/GM who views you as interchangeable, ready to cut you & not interested in paying fair market value (watch Gilmore walk/not resigned this year). Oh and no QB/WR either. -

Not the way it was reported. The first game he was 11-18, because McD coached passively vs. Bilichick. Sorry as said, looks good on him. -
Been looking for them on the site as heard it second hand. https://nesn.com/2020/12/bill-belichick-not-buying-josh-allen-craze-patriots-coach-clarifies-stance/ So he was proud of his defense in windy Orchard Park, when McD played into his hands. Nice to see Allen allowed to dismantle them at will. Especially love the sour grapes on the Diggs TD pass..... Please explain his thought process that it should have been 10 yards only? Also heard on 'GR on the Davis TD that was called back that Belicheat was messing with Allen as he didn't see a coverage issue, he just was standing beside the official waiting to call timeout.

Don't know how else he could have hit him. The NE TD was aided by a PI (well short of the first down marker on third down at the NE 12 yard line). Actually I was happy top see them score as it then forced Buffalo to score, which sometimes I think they need those type of wake-up calls.

Been so long since the Bills controlled games start to finish. The first three years with McD, yes some convincing wins, but more often then not, one score games. Early this year much the same thing, and that was a concern. Now however I can't help but think about the 2019 Ravens (and yes much can be blamed on Lamar not being tested) & that we are cruising like they were last year and wondering how we'll do in a close game. Yes I know Josh & his fourth quarter stats...... Again a Bye would have been great (and yes sometimes that certainly affects the team), but last year we saw exactly how the Ravens reacted when pushed around (and folded) and there is trepidation that the Bills too need to be ready for a close game, which they haven't had since Arizona. Heck this hasn't happened to the Bills since the early 90's.😜

Yes that felt really good. This is what I wanted the first time they played & was concerned seeing how close to the vest McD played (18 passes only) and allowing NE to stay in the game. Time to stand up to the bully and they did. But Shaw, stop using the word Process please😜. Very simply McD finally trusts his QB, realizes that Offense is the key in the NFL and all is falling into place. As the season has gone on, they are realizing that they can step on someone's throat and put games away. The first 8 games (including two vs. The Jets) the Bills kept games close. Now they're learning to win and that the opponent should fear them (particularly the Offense) and not vice versa. And yes think about it, 48 games & not one 300 yard game and now 8 (and two others over 280) and that is the difference. Last year the most in a game was 266.

Resting starters next week vs Miami

A half at most & very simple game plan. Stay sharp, but don't chance anything. -
A COMPLETE Role Reversal
Billsfan1972 replied to Long Suffering Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember when NE would rub it down the Bills' throats and laughed about it? I was at the game vs. NE, where Gronk almost decapitated White in 2017, just to prove a point. I also remember games where they were happy to run up the score too. Turnabout is fair play. -

Very simply, while I thought this was in Allen all along (yes dream big😉), I wasn't sure McD had it in him to realize that this is an Offense first league. Props to McD in changing his style and "unleashing the Kraken😜" -

Know it was just last Saturday, but boy I'm itching for them to play tonight. Also so happy Sunday vs. the 'phins not flexed. Been a long time since our coveted 1:00 pm slot!!!!😜 -
I know that is a great stat, but I'd like to see them trailing and how they react. Think the Ravens 2019 and they never seemed to trail and then come the playoffs and as soon as they trailed, they had no idea what to do. Of course we did comeback vs. the Rams, Dolphins & Arizona in the fourth. Just we are going on all cylinders now and sometimes that can be scary.

How the Allen narrative has changed.....
Billsfan1972 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And that is the point, the Bills made no attempt to help Allen year one & minimal year two. They were too concerned on the other side of the ball and were slow in developing and giving Allen any weapons (remember there were none in 2017 either). The O was predictable and made only baby steps. Yes Allen improved, but more so the light was turned on & McD has finally understood Offense is he key to success. Again look how far ahead young QB's where there is an emphasis on Offense are v. those that think ground & pound is the way to go. Throw them in to the fray and let them sink or swim. -
You saw today that they still made some references to years 1-2, but no longer is it wondering if he will regress, but just how friggin good he is. That TD called back handoff to Singletary had the announcers shaking their heads in disbelief, along with the then 22 yard strike to Kumerow...... Interesting too that Diggs made a bad play along the sidelines on a 40 yard pass and acknowledged it too, then a 55 yard strike. So much fun to watch. I swear they're trying to make up for 2017-2019 on offense.😜
