I just saw that..... Would have been too easy a TD, but wow was he open. Some plays certain players are not in the play or really part of the route.
-
Yes I thought about that one too... Make it 6 throws!!!!!😉
-
As said Allen is much improved reading the D, so chalk that one up, but any Qb could have made those throws. The 5 I pointed out were really special (in a game where there were a #). Sucked that his QBR was only 75.2%😜

And no neither the Davis or McKenzie one's were any big deal. Right call, right read & easy TD's. 1. Allen flushed out and on the run to Diggs for 14 yards on the sidelines (near the end of the first quarter). How he threw it right there and the toe tap, just wow. 2. Allen to Beasley same thing near the half and right at the sidelines. 3. Beasley TD a five yard dart (actually there were a few) 4. Davis for 18-20 yards over the middle. A laser over the LB and into coverage. Wow what a pass. 5. Beasley for 39 yards (right after #1), Allen rolling, buying time, Beasley comes across the field and Allen effortlessly throws it 40 yards on a rope. These were out of this world plays and all right on the money.

It's just no fun throwing for 300 vs. knowing each and every game (unless McD get's scared of the opponent i.e. NE or Pitt or the elements) that 300 is in play vs. 2017-19, just ask the experts here..... Most telling backhanded comment yesterday was the crew saying Beane & McD came to the realization you can't win averaging <20/game....😋

If they were 7 or 8-0 then yes it would have been different. I just don't think they deserved to be 12-0 and have been wanting to see them lose for weeks. If they did beat the Bills and were 13-0 then 16-0 is just too close and there was just something that really irked me. Now it is two very good teams playing as opposed to one unbeaten one. Yes the subtle difference maybe too hard for Teef to grasp.....

The josh haters are out in force today

There were 5 plays that stood out...... The Davis & MacKenzie Td's don't even register. That pass to Beasley on the sidlines above, another to Diggs on the sidelines that all were sure was OB, that 40 yard bullet to Beasley he just flicked his arm, the Beasley TD, and the pass to Davis on a rope over the LB on a rope..... Others were just the right read and making the play. -
It was all about that first down play. McD called a run & if it hadn't gained 8 yards, I imagine the Bills would have gone conservative.

Simply I did not want 16-0 in play and the Steelers 12-0 and every team (proverbially) gunning for them. I want the Bills to win Mano a Mano with nothing extra on the line. To me the storyline will be Pitt bouncing back this week after two topsy-turvy weeks (and schedule changes affecting them) and showing they are SB co-favorites (with KC).
-
How about ranked 30th, 29th & 24th in Offense the past 3 years? Is that only something TSW fans are proud of & okay with? 300 does matter..... Again when both QB's throw for 300, usually pretty important that the winning team's QB di that..... If you want to argue that it is not important when only the losin g QB threw for 300, maybe there is an argument.
-
Maybe I just dislike Pitt so much and think they were as bad an 11-0 team as I there was, feeding off an easy schedule and things just going their way. I want them to lose every week, so that's my bias. I did not want Buffalo to be the one to break the streak in week 14. I want Buffalo to beat them when there is no added incentive (outside playoff seeding & home field). JMHO.

Great review...... Agree with all, but the Defense while they made plays and stands, they were overall good not spectacular and gave up # of yards. SF is not a great team on offense and decimated as all know by injury.

So again we have many tellING me that there is ABSOLUTELY no scenario or way where Allen could not have done better in 2018/19 because the coaching and planning was so brilliant that it was mapped out to begin opening day 2020 vs. the Jets. I didn't know the coaching was that good?????😉 Okay you're right Daboll was always a genius and McD too. My only defense is I can say McD named Peterman his starting QB vs. SD in 2017 and the starter in 2018 (and no 300 yard games for 3 years), so excuse me if I am skeptical of his eye for talent at QB.😜
-
No better, schemes more effective passing. How many times in 2018/19 did the Bills telegraph run plays and seem to play between the 20's vs. this years much more aggressive play. Again you see what you think you saw in 2017/19 & I saw something different. 2014/16 24-24, 2017/19 25-23 (and two playoff losses)..... I asked about QBR...... https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/3918298/josh-allen He threw for 122 vs. KC (14/27 and an int) and had a higher QBR!!!!!
-
And the 23 games they lost 2017-19, none could have been due to bad offense and the inability to throw for 300? Again a circular argument. You say it doesn't matter & I say no other team went a year without doing it once (in the last decade, though maybe you'll find 1-2) and McD did it 3 staright years!!!! More then an anomaly.
-
I am coming around, however McD was just so conservative that regardless of the situation he just couldn't figure out the need for offense years 1-3..... We have scrubs all over the place throwing for 300 & many very early in their careers. This is a special year (to date), but look at just how many games the Bills were blown out 2017-19 and there were many chances to see better #'s. However the past is the past & nothing can be done, however to pretend like some do that everything was done as part of a plan and they hit on every decisionthe coaches made is wrong. I was on in 2018 & 2019 (oh & 2017) continaully upset about the offenses #'s and why they just were atrocious and accepted by many here. Now we'll here complaints about the run game, which is the plight of being a Bills fan......😉
-
Again agree to disagree..... The fact the Bills under McD, went 48 games unabale to throw for 300 yards a single time speaks volumes. And every once in a while we see the offeinse regress and play "scared" i.e. vs. KC & NE. An interesting comment during the game was noting that the Bills finally spent on offense and realized you can't win scoring <20 points/game.

Line Shift in SF Game: Bills now Underdogs
Billsfan1972 replied to Casey D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How???? They are a decimated team and yes a good win vs. The Rams, but that was about it since Garropolo went down.
