  1. Or if properly defenced and kicked, the 25-30 or shorter. Squibb or kick short of the endzone better then Mahomes and no coverage.
  2. The Bills don't call many crossing routes/slants, and seemingly less and screens. The receivers aren't YAC type either, except McKenzie. But yes there is no one defenses are too worried about. Sunday though Davis burned them on one on one coverages.
  3. Another stoopid question.... Don't ST/Kickoff teams do a huddle when they go out on the field (TV never shows it) before the kick? And if they do, wouldn't Bass say what he is doing on the kick? If he says kicking it through the endzone and they were told sqibb/short kick, someone says "WTF we were told squibb/short!!!". The more I think about it, the more my head hurts... ...
  4. And so I was shouting at the TV and explaining to friends over (not as detailed football fans as I am). It seemed like mid year vs. the Raiders. As too stated there are issues with coaching for both teams throughout every game, which is what I expected to discuss if the Bills lost (all before those 13 seconds). No idea why the coaches thought this was a game about field position.
  5. As I have said repeatedly, after gaining 7+ yards anytime on first down, to me it is always RPO, rollouts on second/third down and then go for it worst case scenario on fourth.
  6. And without McD..... They had training wheels on or reins (take your choice😜) 2018-2019, and many a time this year. Heck the wind game, they realized the second half that Allen could handle it. I hope Daboll gets a head coaching job and does well, but conversely expect too that Allen will be better.
  7. I thought people here would be interested . Really what's your problem with the thread? What misery? I was surprised at the poll (pretty sparse and little in the article). What made me laugh was the comments section. Geez, talk about get a life....
  8. Yes, will be deleted if needs to be. Not much of an article, more so was surprised Allen wasn't #1 and fun reading the comments and how upset Lamar fans are and the Burrow's support. Joe is great, but what Chase can do is unbelievable. I know it shouldn't (and hasn't been mentioned), but where was Diggs Sunday. A #1 with <10 yards receiving???
  9. Anyone else read this? https://theathletic.com/3088403/2022/01/27/joe-burrow-josh-allen-or-justin-herbert-which-rising-young-qb-would-nfl-coaches-and-execs-take-now/ What is interesting is so much love for Burrow & also Herbert. Again seems many underestimate Allen (especially coaches). Then read the comment section (up to 445 as of Friday 8:00 am) and the love for Burrow is off the chart, with of course too many pissed Lamar Jackson isn't there (remember he made the Pro Bowl, not Allen or Burrow). What I have said all year, outside lousy weather, the one thing that holds him back is coaching. Even the last two games, I swear, his stats could have been even better. It was only when down 23-14 that Josh was "unleashed" imo. Heck where was that 400 yard game this year.
  10. And that is what I thought would be discussed this week. Never did I think it would be multiple errors over 13 seconds!!!!! Reid made mistakes too (that third & 1 trick play that resulted in a FG). As Bills fans we could be talking about so many plays not made that cost the Bills, but it was all about 13 seconds. However I was screaming as said in front of my friends, apoplectic when Dabol on those two drives after 7 yard gains on first down ran the next two plays & punted. The Bills punted 4 times (KC 2 punts & 2 FGs). Those two punts (one at midfield) were huge coaching blunders.
  11. Then again, what about the next two plays? How communication could so be botched is unbelievable. We're doing a short/squibb kick, let's not tell Bass. My analysis was the approach and there is no doubt Bass is kicking it out of the endzone. They royally f'd up 13 seconds, end of story!!!!
  12. Or they know it is a touch back because with a 7 yard approach all Bass kicks go through the endzone.
  13. No worse..... Cincy and Burrow in the SB his second year....? No thanks
  14. Again it's one thing to make mistakes through out the game and it's another thing to lose leads and make bad decisions. Heck if it wasn't for the last 13 seconds there were other times during the game that we can question the coaching. The point was a screwed-up 13 seconds never done before. Should I go back to 2020 & the Houston game? Unless the Bills win the Super bowl or two-six, those 13 seconds will be the defining Legacy of McDermott.
  15. What should we talk about? Never ever had happened before, but McD did it.
  16. Because McD wasn't the coach?🤣
  17. Oops just having fun and using your thread. Of course you made no excuses because there's no excuses to be made.
  18. Btw just turned on ESPN that no team has ever done this before in 13 seconds. So please stop making excuses for the Bills coaches. Again this is what we should have been talking about after a loss though some of them are grasping at straws. Things happened throughout the game however the last 13 seconds is all that should be talked about and rightfully so.
  19. Peterman never should have been the backup either. His inability to coach or understand the QB position (and what offense was) for 3 years (yep 2 with Allen) was troublesome. Actually I have no idea why I said Great.... He's a GOOD Coach. Apologies.....😜
  20. Don't worry Lamar has his back.......
  21. I was very critical of how they brought him along year's 1-2 as I thought it was too slow. However when McD finally realized that 300 yards passing and scoring 30 points was not a bad thing, well the rest is history. Remember it was McD who thought Peterman was a starting NFL qb. Or Dabol gets all the credit. McD is good, but does at times rub me the wrong way.
  22. Or you lucked in to a transcendent QB, that will help cover up every deficiency/error you make for the next dozen years??? McD I've come around on. He is a great coach, however some things he does, decisions and missteps continue to confound.
  23. A repeat of what should have been the SB???? Now watch the Rams lose to the 49ers.....😜
  24. Whatever happened it was a colossal failure (as I've said umpteen times). It rests on the coach unable to execute the final 13 seconds. We can look at plays every game where there are wrong decisions/calls. This called for micromanaging only 13 seconds.... Can someone with knowledge explain what the process is prior to a kickoff? Call me dumb, but the players and the kicker have to be together and told what you are doing. It's like going to a huddle and everyone is there but the QB??? I know too (I swear) that somewhere in the back of my mind that on Sunday I was thinking with 17 seconds to go.... "Don't score too quick"...
