To All You Dorsey/McD Haters What Say You Now ?
Thrivefourfive replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right right. Coaching gets targeted—they’re more expendable than difference making players. The truth is usually within the extremes with coaching. Though it would be nice to live with a top ten coach of all time and see how we all stay in that marriage without saying something we regret 🌞 I know you’re joking about who the run/run/pass OC was in Buffalo, but there are Bills diehards that believe to the bone that coaching ruined JP Loseman’s potential multi pro bowl career. I don’t believe that, but to your point, coaching gets an unfair amount of shame when things aren’t working out. I try to be specific to what Dorsey does when I need to fit my Dorsey Sucks narrative. I should love everything about him.. with his college playing career, sufficient NFL locker room experience as a backup, etc. And in my personal life I try to bring friends and family down from the ledge when they think Josh Allen should be perfect on every single play. I don’t think I’m being unreasonable about the two plays that bug me. I’m sure there are actually more and I missed them — two TE bunched and split right with no creativity at all and that proved to be exactly true because the DBs played better WR than our guys and the throws never had a chance. Then that chicken ***** hard count on 4th and an inch (or was it 3rd down.. I can’t reminder now). I just hate the cheap feel of that. At some point, you’re gonna Have to pretend you’re better than them and play like it. Like on 4th and an inch. If you’re not bullying the Raiders on every play because of some weak gimmick crap, I’m not happy about it. 38-10.. 58-10.. the score is not my problem here. To be honest with you, and maybe I’m the only one, I hold my breath on every short yardage bunch formation center/QB exchange. The Minnesota game will do that to a man. For good reason. -
The Bears have Fields and Edmunds! Field Generals on both sides of the ball!! Blah Edmunds was an okay pick. He started and played above average…all things considered, for a number of years. And the team won. It just didn’t work out long term. It happens sometimes. I’m glad he’s not an over paid Bill. Comparing him to the entire Chiefs team winning the Super Bowl x2 is… um… funny. Time to move on from Edmunds. He wasn’t a bad guy. He’s from a football family. I’m not sure what’s to go on and on about here. The pick had all the best intentions, and was actually serviceable in a very important way. So far from a bust anyway you look at.

To All You Dorsey/McD Haters What Say You Now ?
Thrivefourfive replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
They beat one of the worst teams in the league. i like that McD shut down Jacobs and made the QB do what he does worse to beat try to score on us. I still hate Dorsey’s play calling, at least five times a game. Dumb *****. -
Does New England have white receivers? I don’t think Jones had many white receivers at Alabama to pepper. I don’t understand the thoroughly explained joke.

Honestly if was all east for the Bills. This wasn’t the time to judge the standard. The guys guys up from aggressive backfield AND MEGA MILANO DESTROYED THE RUN GAME, and force Garrapollo to do thing he don’t do. Easy V. We saw that the Bills offense really is loaded. Only two plays pissed me off yesterday.. hard count on 4&1 for no damn reason — just run the damn play without gimmicks,, you’re better than they are — no gimmicks please. And the 4&Goal miss. That play started with Harty trying to let sweep Allen before snap, then Allen throwing to a double covered TE in the zone. Diggs wide open, but I never saw a replay from JA17 POV. Throwing to double coverages TEs is a little issue I’m seeing.

Josh Allen made some history with his 3 TDs
Thrivefourfive replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s 27 now, we’re going there…. This is a nice Marinoesque record to have. -
Big INT for Bernard against Thaa Raiders!!! Having said that, on the play in question, he liked like one of those frozen over ice lake swimmers who run and jump in a hole in the sheet. If the hall didn’t miraculously land in his lap, what was he even doing on that play…?? Plugging an already plugged gap?

Beane’s failures on full display
Thrivefourfive replied to Shanahan's Horseshoe's topic in The Stadium Wall
The negativity should be prioritized: Allen throwing it to Jets as if they’re teammates,,,, 3rd&2 here, sure lets throw to the same exact quickout/10y out design that didn’t work earlier in the game with two bigger TEs and this time we’ll use G. Davis a wr, so the Jets counter with top safety help = INT and an awful one. Then, fumbles twice on one play, and losses away the second fumble. That was after the Jets tied the game 13. The Bills already in imploding mode with the fighting. Then Goddam Allen.. no clue why you couldn’t complete the pass to Murray who was right in front of you on the left side which wouldn’t given Bass a gimme as opposed to the 50 clanker good. SBXXV flashback for me, except worse still, Allen threw it to Murray like Murray was death and would destroy the world if he caught that ball. Dorsey’s stale ass play designs. Beane can’t be blamed for Dorsey job and Allen’s play, that’s more on McD keeping Dorsey, and not getting real coaching for JA17. Beane could be asked about all these DBs that have more issues than Playboy, but that might be all McD’s calls anyways. And I don’t think “Beane!” when I think Offesive line guru whisperer.. maybe someone needs to be hired on draft day for that. -

I know.. it’s crazy, but if we have a Brett Favre Josh Allen, he’s not reaching Brett Fabre accomplishments. Maybe go to the Hall, sure. But he’s never beating Mahomes and a healthy Burrow with that Brett Fabre play style, and he’s NOT winning the Super Bowl like this right here. “Mr. Sometimes I Have Four Turnovers so Live with it” So my point is a Brett Fabre Josh Allen isn’t winning the trophy, so why have the heartache? -

Completely agree. Allen isn’t Peyton Manning. He makes decisions and then stupid, costly throws. Period. After a few games like tonight, he’s speed walking into Brett Favre territory, and I’d turn that down and try again with someone else. So Allen does in fact have to change. And if it’s a credible OC or HC, then so be it. Allen is proving that this is the only way out of the abyss that his fine talent has gotten himself in. -
I hate to sound like a Troy Aikman, but a well-coached 16 year old would throw his body forward when there were obvious running plays by the Jets at those points in the game. He’s tiny, and doesn’t look super fast. He looks like a practice squad second team bait player to replicate a bad or hurt MLB for the Bills offense to plan against. Again, as one of two Linebackers on the field, he’s out of his element. Side note: if the Bills screw up what will be a Matt Milano Defensive Player of the Year campaign… that’d just be perfect.
-
And he’s invited to the former players luxury box home games. Hope he stays in Buffalo (hahahahaha)

Jesus, he’s a nice junior college middle killer. But having offensive lineman continuing to find him 5 yards down field and clamp him up was disgusting to watch. TB is really REALY out of his element. I’m not even sure if he’s explosive enough to be a special teamer (he can surely play punt team). Another negative takeaway from this ass game.

I’m sorry, but the play design and calls and execution looked like high school stuff to me. Two tights right, one quick out, one 10yd out, against one/one zone on that side was a pathetic spot to look and actually throw the ball to. Then on the third pick of the game, they run the exact same patterns with Davis on the 10y out, but since he’s a receiver the Jets have safety help so it’s a short/medium/medium-deep attacker zone, and ***** Allen throws it again. Stretch hand-off dives up the 1 and 2 gaps absolutely sucked too and wreaked of high school. The three plays on the OT possession spelled it all out. Uncreative, passive, lacking clear objectives and purpose, and the lack of execution (if that was even possible). The offense sucked tonight. I saw nothing that made me think — Wow! That’s was some talent! It was beyond basic, and embarrassing for Dorsey and Allen …… f*cking those two idiots….. I don’t know what to think. Tweetle Dee and Tweedle Dumb, clearly. Jets have an above avg defense, which the Bills O made look like a top five in the league defense. That should never ever happen if you have a great offense, as the Bills should have.

I posted he was toast in the Pittsburgh pre season game thread. He’s toast. A question that the staff needs to answer is how long do you allow him to be a liability out on the field. He’s a vet, so he knows how to wiggle his way to the ball on running plays. He can tackle when he’s got a runner wrapped. He’s also balls to the wall tough, so he’ll get in the middle of some plays. But as far as being a suitable starting safety thoroughbred race horse for a championship contender, NO. That ship sailed.

9/11/23 GAMEDAY Week 1 Bills @ Jets MNF Pregame Thread
Thrivefourfive replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Can we just say Collinsworth says things that are stupid. Hey! Don’t underestimate that Detroit pick 6 in the second half.. He said that. He also said that Dan Campbell is misunderstood.. that he’s quirky with all the expressos, but he really just loves coaching football. Ya don’t say Chris… you don’t think everyone on the planet knows that Dan Campbell is into coaching football. We don’t understand that?? So here goes the corniest voice in sports, Buck, and the most unnecessarily dramatic, Aikmen. Allen is going to kick everyone’s ass tonight -

LAMP - New High School FB Season
Thrivefourfive replied to Jon in Pasadena's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you’re in Pasadena Jon, Southern California HS football is ten hands full. Warm beautiful summer Friday night games.. right down to freezing games in November for the playoffs. Awesome, unforgettable stuff. Those Florida, southern, and Texas teams can pop on tv, but nothing is as deep as Southern California. Whichever top team is in Georgia, we have four or five of those, and one is actually public. I still go to a couple games a year, 30 years after my time in the east San Gabriel Valley. Enjoy the season, Jon!! -

I’m going to turn this into the awesome thought of the Titans game LAST YEAR! Oh, that beat down was fantastic. Taking no prisoners at that point. -
I Am Not Optimistic Going Into This Season
Thrivefourfive replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I get it. It’s in our DNA to doom and gloom when there’s nothing really tangible going on. But just last year, after the KC game, the Bills were clear media favorites to win the Super Bowl. That team is still here, and is actually better across the board except for one middle linebacker. This team is fine. If the players pull any loser crap and make sorry excuses I’ll be disappointed. Their whole careers have come to this point of being on a Super Bowl contender. Let the fans be scared of their own shadows. Please not the players. -
How much longer will the window be open?
Thrivefourfive replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
The offense should click better than ever and that will become the norm for a five-seven year window. It’s the defensive that needs to constantly reinvent itself and hit when it counts in the playoffs. Right now, I’m worried that the defense is just kind of ordinarily good. I’m not sure how anyone thinks differently about Mahomes. He’s by far the best quarterback. It’s just that way. Pretty indisputable at this point.
