  1. What’s the over/under on threads calling for bass’s head after this game? 5? 6? 7?
  2. Happy Birthday, preemptively. lets get a win!
  3. are darby & brown even decent? jarrian jones did not seem to play much week 1 but did play 79% of the snaps against cleveland
  4. youre right. diggs actually did perform the first half my bad.
  5. 43 of those yards came on the final 2 drives when the game was done @ 31-7 with 10 mins to play. Vikes starting d with gilmore shut nico out. same with diggs and dell. the majority of their production came in the final handful of drives when it was out of reach.
  6. elite players can win you games and even a championship… coaching and those players is how you build a dynasty.
  7. seahawks have a chance to start running away with that division… could be a great game when we meet them. might be a 7-0 team. 5-2 seems the worst imo, likely 6-1.
  8. Missing a pro bowl lineup will do that lol
  9. raiders come back was short lived lol
  10. been said but man bradys commentating blows. expected way more football smarts he’d be talking about rather than random yapping
  11. never saw him show that speed here. guy is looking good in mcdonalds system
  12. if she cheated with brown, he no doubt is burned when he pees.
  13. MH2. nabers. odunze. great early returns for their teams.
  14. too much money for any of those 3. garrett would be the only consideration
  15. the level of qb play from these 1pm games… 🤮
  16. wonder if they are one of the reported teams asking about bryce young?
  17. Caleb Williams has been very unimpressive through these 3 games.
  18. was talking that the way it fell with both teams movements for picks and players before the two seasons that young isn’t in carolina and chicago doesn’t have the chance for williams. my bad for not making that clearer. sorry. your points with coaches commitment of investment to succeed, baker and the browns and carolina are all spot on. you also made a great point in another post about a team getting their guy. the system and players have to be on the same page. that’s why I take it with a grain of salt how good or bad a new HC does their first year of employment. the carryover may not be the style they know how to put on the field. this is where a GM is of the absolute importance, they need to reflect to the owner whether or not the guy they want to coach their team may necessarily not be the best option for their young quarterback or high value draft picks. “threw away the investment of pick #1 for the HC” absokute money statement. so true words. well said brother.
  19. always found 6-8 hours before kick off is a good rule of thumb. can experience it all without feeling drawn out, but I usually have the children in tow; prob’ different for you. good luck brother, hope you enjoy it. there isn’t a better tailgating than Buffalo, obviously lol if you ever get a chance to attend a game in KC or NOLA, they’re the next best option! enjoy the game, may it be a win all around for your first visit!
  20. Where you getting those numbers? He only attempted 6 last season from 40-49yds…? lets say you are right, there’s no way he finishes above 80%. pretty sure they wouldnt have him back he also kicked 29 attempts on the whole year.
  21. youre right. and during those 2 years he kicked at that percent was when he got his money. distance doesn’t seem much different… 2021: 40-49yards, 4/5. 50+yards, 2/4 2022: 40-49yards, 10/11. 50+yards, 2/3 2023: 40-49yards, 4/6. 50+yards, 4/6 2021: 20-39yards 22/23 2022: 20-39yards 15/17 2023: 20-39yards 16/17 again, I’d argue that if he kicks 5-10 more FGs a year, the % will be in that average success range (84-93%). the reason he’s coming under more criticism than years prior is the magnitude of the kicking he’s missed. statistically he’s pretty much been on par with where he was the first 3 years, 2020-22.
  22. Yeah but they aren’t in that #1 slot if they don’t trade for the 2023 pick of bryce young… in fact, if they don’t trade away all the top end talent that team has had over the last few years, who knows where they’d be. certainly aren’t picking #1 overall with CMC, DJ moore and whoever else they end up with under center? Darnlod, for all the lumps he’s taken, didn’t do too bad the final 6 games of that 22 season: went 4-2 threw 1100 yards, 7TDS, 4INTs that was with DJ moore. You imagine if he had CMC and some other weapons? They aren’t in play for young, williams or any 1st overall without a trade. tepper and morgan have traded all that talent, overpaid for average players and turned the coaching staff over too much to give any young qb a chance to succeed.
  23. brandon mcmanus available. would be worth a look if acquiring a kicker was a serious move. don’t think bass did bad though: 24/30 FGs 49/50 XPs touchbacks are the only place i can see a problem with that as it was 53/95 (55.8%) think if you see bass kick 15-20 more FGs that he’d be around the 84-93% success range, which is the nfl average it seems. and looking at those kicks, most teams (18) are kicking double the amount of short range FGs (20-29yards) as we did last season, which was 4.
  24. good post. your eberflus point is interesting. fields did nothing with him but the team did improve year 2… now you’ve given the defensive coach all the pieces to work with on both sides of the ball it’s make or break this year for me if i am the halas/mcaskey family. if things dont work out in chicago then you bring in an offensive minded coach to steer the ship with caleb and all those offensive weapons
  25. stroud was a more efficient passer in college and seemed to be better at touch passes and leading his guys both had elite talent on their teams. championship and heisman are the only things that go to young. why you don’t go with the better passer who’s of the build you want in a qb; 6’4”+ is wild to me. did however not expect bryce to be as poor as he has. seems borderline clueless out there at times.
