That’s fair and can respect the difference I just think it’s a bit distasteful to be embracing a celebrating opponent when the game is still in play and to be had if things go right. Again, after the clock hits zero it’s all good. Game is over. You congratulate, pay your respects and enjoy the moments going forward or reflection

You’re fine with a guy on our team, when there’s still a chance to play, laughing and joking with another guy after he says “we going back y’all… good game…”? Again, that happening when the game clock hits zero, cool. Right after you fail a 4th down and still have a chance? After playing in high school and collegiately I understand what you’re saying, there’s a camaraderie for sure, but handshakes and laughs aren’t a thing until afterward. Fair play to you bro lol

15 minutes of nothing. Very concerned with the conversation between Dion Dawkins and Jones, not to mention the laughing together after that stop when there’s still time on the clock and we had 3 TOs. The exchange isn’t a problem after the game but during with the circumstances still make it in play is a sour taste for me.

Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher
Sojourner replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s just highlighting why Ty was in there and as I’m sure you’re aware, I don’t think @PromoTheRobot is actually saying he’d rather Cook be on the sideline. The worst part about it all is that more often than not you can gauge that we are likely to pass when Ty is in. Worse still is why he was split wide on the 4th down. Atrocious when you actually start with a toss play, something I don’t think was run all game, with Ty Johnson. If you’re going to run the ball at any point on that drive, you use Cook unless you’ve worn down the opposition some. The more I think about that series of events, the sicker I get. Absolute head scratchers indeed. 😔 -
Bills Have Low Percentage of First Read Pass Completion- Why?
Sojourner replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
I often wonder if it’s a combination of the guys he’s throwing to and the coaches he has now. Not to pound the table or wish for a Daboll reunion but during his tutelage and guidance as OC there was a considerable more amount of anticipation throws on the field Josh was making. -

You’re right. We’d have scored a TD then the abysmal D would have let KC march for 6. Saved a few minutes early I guess? -
Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Sojourner replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Babich was supposed to his Spagnolo is essence, hence the superseding of play duties. In reality, he’s no different than Frazier; a mouthpiece for his execution. -

Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Sojourner replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Players are the problem. You can have all the perfect plays, drills and practices put in place that in theory will work 100%, but if the execution isn’t there in the moment you have nothing. -

You know who holds the best first read percentage on a football field and is in the Super Bowl? This guy: -
Far too many. For the lack of injuries we’ve had at the position it’s very alarming that there’s a steady cycle of defensive lineman churned in and out for the season. I get they’re in a rotational role and want it to be a group effort to be fresh but sometimes enough is enough. The list you out together is littered from top to bottom of guys who flash it just enough to want to be kept around. Not saying they’re absolute bums but there’s only one on there who’s worth losing sleep over if they aren’t let around, Ed. If you remove the fandom and look at it from an unbiased or impartial perspective, I don’t know how you can view the rest as championship caliber players. Pretty sad for what’s been invested.
-
lol maybe! I wouldn’t be opposed to that move as it may be more favorable for Groot and AJ. Need to get some better pieces on the middle though. Ed would fit the 3-4 end role but I don’t think he’s suited to absolute gap control required for that scheme. Additionally our undersized LBs got better in that base by practical standards.

If you’re bringing anything from that late 80’s through the 90’s bring back Bresnahan or Marchabroda lol Marv ain’t gonna make it long enough unfortunately
-
Very fair to him. They dump the coaching staff before they let Josh walk though. If anything it comes down to 3 years of franchise tagging him before he ever walks via a trade for the haul of picks you’d get not matching the offer/s. If that ever happened I don’t think even for Terry keeping the team in Buffalo that you could forgive them choosing anyone or anything over Josh.
-
For sure. He’s getting more than Herbert, Tua, Lawrence and Love. He should. The only saving grace is those guys above all have contracts in the same range as Joe Burrow, who is clearly above them in talent. Then you revert back to the Dak contract. If he’s on $60m anything less for Josh is unfair lol

FINAL v3.0 now LIVE on p.15 - Gunner's 2025 Mock Draft
Sojourner replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im reluctant to pay any receiver that much. JJ & Chase definitley, likely for CeeDee. That’s all who are worth it. AJ Brown and Sr. Brown are close. Mike Evans definitley if he were 4/5 years younger. $25m for the top. $20m for the Collins’/Brown’s of the league. I know the cap has adjusted to allow it but 10% of your cap to a WR is insane to me. The fact the top guys now are at 12% of the cap…? 🤯 -
I respect your enthusiasm. They’ve failed to do it going into year 8 of their regime pairing. I’m not holding my breath they fix that DLine in one off-season let alone two. Hopefully they prove doubters wrong but the history of their efforts says otherwise.
-
You really think they beat Philly? Theyre a decent team but if Cook can run all over them there’s no reason to doubt Saquon terrorizing them for 100+ on the ground in the first half alone lol That defense was one of if not the best in the regular season and there hasn’t been a drop off into the playoffs. Sacks they were middle of the pack and generating pressure was poor overall but that hasn’t been the case post-season. Philly pull away with it in the second half like they did against the Commanders.

I wonder if we go to a rotation that sees Bishop or Rapp as the nickel DB on some packages. Hamlin shouldn’t be a starter, Rapp is injured and Bishop is still very raw. Hopefully they take a look at the FA pool for Safety as there’s a few guys who are of quality and can play that free/deep role we’ve been lacking. Bynum or Holland would be great but there’s a lot of quality available. Every guy on the roster that played meaningful snaps was/is better suited to the strong role where they can play that buzz/hole and robber responsibilities. Out of those 3 Hamlin would be the one to let go. The feel good story can only last too long and whilst he did have some good moments throughout the year, every big game he’s been a let down. Even before the Cincinnati incident. CB is another must. Douglas was decent in spells but his play has been on the steady decline. Need someone else. Benford has the capability but had some rough patches. I’m sure if the DLine is fixed or at least better his play becomes more consistent and reliable. Same for Taron as above. Though if next year you get some atrocious periods of play then you move on. He’s still one of the best in the business. Also playing a safety in that role can give you the freedom to move on if it’s a success. There’s a few CBs in FA but they may be out of price range; Charvarious Ward, Carlton Davis, DJ Reed, Eric Stokes & Byron Murphy Id like to see them take a gamble on CJ Henderson or one of the Charger guys in Asante Samuel Jr. (injury keeps his price down) or Christian Fulton. One of those 2 I’ll bet get resigned, so probably Asante. A lot to get right this year all over the defense. Some changes need to be made

A week too late for that idea.

lol he only played 109 snaps for us since we acquired him. That’s comparable to 2 less jelly donuts and a couple hours on the treadmill!! Agreed. And even then it’s a punt. I’m sure Carter is successful but to get there you’re giving up a lot like you said. If you’re willing to give up that resources to draft a prospect I’m sure you could give up less to get just as impactful a proven player. Salary won’t be the same obvious but things could be worked out by both teams for more.

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Sojourner replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which is exactly why I’m opposed to them shelling out the cash for the guys on the team right now. Difference makers when the lights are the brightest, just aren’t there to be relied upon. -
Playoffs only. Roster spot, playing time and salary can go elsewhere for a guy that shows up once in a while. Give a rookie or another player via FA the gig and see what we get. If not? Pivot back to him down the stretch. I’m sure he’d understand and wouldn’t have a problem resting all year and putting in the work for the post-season games instead lol
