  1. The Bengals do not have an AFC win through 8 weeks of the NFL season. Their fans should be worried about EVERY AFC game.
  2. As was pointed out all offseason, any attempt to quantify Beane's drafting always ends up with him at or near the top. "But he missed that all pro for this bust". Yes, every team does this, to understand good or bad drafting you have to compare frequency and what you get out of guys you pick.he did well every single time someone analyzed it in good faith, and that was BEFORE Kincaid, Torrence, Bernard,Benford,Cook showed what they've shown this year.
  3. If the Bills were playing this exact game, fans would post 15 threads about how they aren't for real for letting a bad team stick around. This is what NFL football looks like. This game should be 35-7 and it's not. Loins fans aren't and shouldn't worry
  4. LaPorta is an awesome TE, but watching Kincaid break out the last two weeks...he's got a little something extra. Elusiveness, smoothness, soft hands, that sideline catch was crazy. I'm happy with our guy.
  5. I was just kidding. I can definitely see that he's a polarizing player just watching him
  6. 3 posts apart This board man
  7. Dion is pretty grating to me, but he is absolutely having a good season this year, probably his best. Most teams would trade their LT for the year he is having. Obviously not teams with guys like Trent Williams, but.
  8. Cinci was great yesterday but still only had 17 points pretty deep into Q4 IIRC.
  9. The bills are overrated by who? The frothing masses here trip over each other to declare how certain they are of buffalo failure. The media is barely more put together than that.
  10. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled Damar is healthy and alive. I will not be crying or close to it.
  11. The "homers" on this board would absolutely have a negative bent when talking about this team, and would spend a lot of their time engaging in criticism this year, if this wasn't the case for the vast majority of people turning every thread into a "bills are pretenders" thread. But they are all like this. It is so tiresome. Smug, insufferable, dim, a terrible combination
  12. Lol, neither is committing them Do you need a 6 score win over Miami for it to be legitimate then, if you get 2 turnovers? Legitimate is the wrong word, but 'not needing any qualifiers' ?
  13. Guilty, sorry to spam. Hard to follow individual posters sometimes is all, even with notifications, a lot of content on this board every day
  14. The wild card path is intriguing this year, especially if you can snag a 5 and hope for another upset. There could be feasible super bowl paths that take you through a grab bag of @ Jax, @ Miami, @ Baltimore and avoiding KC altogether. More than half of that was garbage time when down 4 scores lol
  15. "If the Bills didn't do things that make you win football games and the Dolphins didn't do things that make you lose football games, maybe the outcome could have been different" A four score game is a four score game man, and the Bills could have scored more if they needed to. There is zero need to qualify what the Bills did against Miami. They obliterated them. This sort of analysis is far more useful in CLOSE games, like the Bills' losses, but somehow I think you'd object to someone doing that.
  16. Agreed, he hates offense. Every time he sees that stat where we've scored the most points in the NFL since 2020, his dinner lurches back up into his mouth.
  17. McDermott has played the team he lost to in the playoffs the following year 3 times, and played Houston 2 years after he lost to them. He hasn't lost any of those games yet. We really need you to keep that streak alive Sean. If we win this one, and the Chiefs beat the Dolphins, and you assume we beat Jets/Broncos/Patriots (I know, I know) our 1 seed odds jump from 5% to almost 25% according to the NYT simulator. If we lose this one, our playoff chances as a whole drop to 57%, which is not ideal.
  18. Let's take this thing back to the reason I jumped in in the first place. You attempted to imply that the Bills were "lucky" that Godwin didn't "turn around" and that we would have lost had he just had the wherewithal to do so. That we should have lost had a receiver just turned around. But according to everyone who has broken down the play, his job is NOT TO TURN AROUND, which is why he was way too late to turn around in real time, do you know how long it takes to track a ball and move to catch it? Go to the frame by frame, and that was never an option, it was never possible, because he was staring at the two jump ball receivers as long as he could. THOSE receivers were staring at the ball. Your initial point was ret@rded is all I was trying to say. Hindsight garbage.
  19. As the ball was hitting the turf 4 yards away, yes, he spun around. it was very late with zero time to track despite the ball hanging in the air longer than a typical hail mary, because his primary job down there wasn't the same as Evans', like I said. Here is an ex-NFL quarterback explaining the play, and why "he's so late to turn around" "his job is to really be looking at one of these guys (evans and the other wr)" and get ready for the deflection. https://x.com/danorlovsky7/status/1717929916820226558?s=20
  20. You guys bring McDermott ***** into every thread already as well as having dedicated threads to try and contain it. This thread is about games happening right now. You guys are ***** annoying.
  21. He was confused why the play hadn't happened because Baker had to rainbow it so high, that's why he was miles late to turn around despite the throw taking forever lol, and why Evans was turned around far before him. Multiple NFL players have put out videos explaining the hail mary set up for Tampa, they are linked in the thread about the hail Mary. They have 4 layers of receivers, Evans towards the back of the end zone whose job it is to win or pop up a jump ball, another guy at the front of the endzone to do the same thing, Godwin between them to be ready for any deflection, and the same for a guy in front of the shallow guy. ie yeah I am sure
  22. Why would Godwin, whose job it was to face Evans and wait for a deflection, turn around to catch the ball? it was not his job on the play.
  23. Great time for the Nanners to become swiss cheese, thanks guys
  24. Yep didn't they get 2 TDs in their first 2 drives against Seattle, then no more the rest of the way?
