Please don't ever compare Buddy Nix to Ozzie Newsome. Buddy is among the most incompetent GMs in NFL history and Ozzie is among the best ever. The time to sign Levitre an Byrd was last year before they became free agents. We wasted too much cap dollars on bad contracts for Kelsay, M Anderson, Fitz etc. Next year we will probably lose Wood and Byrd..

I have no faith in Doug Whaley either. He hitched his wagon to Buddy Nix, one of the worst GMs in NFL history.

He is available for a 2nd round pick according to Greg Bedard. He has some experience and a big arm. He may be a better option than this years rookies.

Lets stop the personal insults on this thread. Here is the crux of the matter. I don't trust Buddy with the draft. Fitz is not an NFL caliber starter and Gailey has proven he is not the answer at coach. Getting blown out twice will force Ralph ( or Brandon) to take major action.

I think these next 2 games will determine the future of the organization. If we win both buddy, chan and fitz will all be back with a rookie QB holdong the clipboard. If we get blown out in both games. I think Russ Brandon will clean house and get rid of all of them. Getting rid of chan is not good enough, since no competent coach will want to work for buddy. We are facing 2 rookie QB in the next 2 games and if we get blown out by both change will happen. We can only hope and pray.

Anyone who thinks this team has talent is ignorant. Buddy has done a terrible job and needs to go. If Chan is fired and Buddy is still here there is no hope.

We have Buddy who is an incompetent Gm and they have Dimitroff who is among the best. Until we get a good GM there is no hope. Matt Ryan was a great pick that was not a given. Most people in the ATL wanted Glenn Dorsey as the pick.

The question remains how do we get a great QB (or better than adequate)? I don't want to pull another trade up for a JP Losman quality QB in the first round.

so do the bills draft a QB in the first round who may be average or get a dominant LB. The QB crop is weak and there a some dominant LB. Tannehill, Locker, Ponder, Gabbert, Weeden this is the quality of player that is likely to be available.

Gailey has gotten the offense to score points. The rookie QBs are not overwhelming. Maybe we need to dramatically improve our Defense by improving the LB and getting a top coordinator like a Mike Nolan or Wade Phillips (I know those guys arent available).

Why do you think that Nix has done "a fine job" ? His record is worse than the Jauron era despite massive free agent signings. He is on his second incompetent def coordinator. We have the worse group of LB in the league, and his drafts have been abysmal. and lets not forget John Potter

If I was GM I would never draft a RB, CB, S, P, PK, in the first round. I would pick a G only at the end of the round and reluctantly. Unfortunately these are the positions the bills continue to waste first round picks on.

Buddy has drafted as bad as any other GM the bills have had. He needs to retire. Trading Marshawn and drafting Spiller was a colossal error as well as drafting CB in the first two rounds. Teams that draft RB and CB early don't win.

The basic problem is that no qualified coach will want to work with an incompetent GM like Buddy. The only hope is to bring in a new GM and clean house.
