I am definitely against Dugger at 54. A secondary red zone RB or one who can serve as the primary if Singletary goes down again helps Josh Allen and the offense the most which I believe is still the Bills #1 objective. I would prefer Taylor or Cam Akers at 54 and then a zone corner like Michael Ojemudia from Iowa at 86

Genuine question for those who are wanting Gross-Matos -- have you watched him play? Or is the excitement about him based solely off of website rankings?
That guy is not going to be a good NFL player...
I think Gross- Matos has physical ability but I am more worried about his mental state. He has had a turbulent life and I am certainly rooting for him but sometimes the mental hurdles and pressure of the NFL can overwhelm a player as we experienced with Dareus. All the best to him and is career but I don't want to take the chance at pick 54.

I agree with your list but would replace Diggs with Jaylon Johnson. there's some rumblings about Diggs having a poor work ethic and an attitude of entitlement. I think Diggs will fall to the 3rd.
I like Johnson over Diggs but he has shoulder issues. We already have a CB with shoulder issues

It’s Kyle Dugger. Our pick is Kyle Dugger.
A 24 year old guy who played division 2 football? I don't understand this at all. I have heard all the big nickel discussion except for how often we would actually have the position on the field. If you want to go big nickel the better choice is Jeremy Chin

Great unis but #20 needs to a lot less curls and a lot more legs this offseason ?

It is scary how much the Athletic influences Bills fans.
With that I will go
Michael Ojemudia
CB, Iowa

Of all the homegrown talent that the Bills want to re-sign Tre makes me the most nervous that he actually will. It seems like he likes it here but stuff like this has to be in the back of his mind. Gilmore stated it as a big reason why he left Buffalo and unfortunately he was right. He was a good player here but left and now is considered one of the best so much that he (undeservedly) got defensive poty. Add in the fact that McDermott is a db guru and can get success from unlikely places and I am nervous he won't be back. Josh Norman in Carolina keeps coming up in my head.
This also goes to show that with players, Buffalo's reputation has not recovered yet. Ramsey was right that team success needs to come first but that is true for any perennial bottom dweller which the Bills were for most of the last 20 years. Hoping Tre stays but unfortunately won't be shocked if he doesn't.
"This also goes to show" ? One idiot, yes he is an idiot and that is undeniable, giving his opinion does not mean "Buffalo's reputation has not recovered yet". Ramsey has dug himself a hole when it comes to Buffalo and he can never go back. He clearly isn't.

I was wondering this morning what Josh Allen's season would have looked like if the Bills had had Stefon Diggs in 2019.
It's not perfect, but what I did was add Diggs's receiving numbers to the Bills' totals, and subtract McKenzie's numbers and Duke's numbers, because they were the two guys who were the primary third receiver. The numbers are interesting.
Receptions go up 24.
Attempts go up 36.
Yards go up over 700!
Touchdowns go up 4.
Interceptions go up 1.
Allen's passer rating goes up to 91.0, 17th in the league.
Now, I know there are all sorts of reasons why it might not have played out that way, but at least it's some measure of the difference Diggs could make. Browns and Beasley's targets might go down. On the other hand, completion percentage probably goes up, because Allen's receivers would have been open more often. And even though their targets might go down, their yards per catch probably go up. There's no way to undrstand fully the impact of Diggs being on the field. Substituting the data at least gives us some kind of picture.
The biggest difference is yards. 700 yards a season is over 40 yards a game. Yards per attempt go up from 6.7 to 7.6.
That kind of improvement would have made the Bills a much more potent offense.
What if we just kept Zay Jones? I realize there were reasons to get rid of him but does the year end differently?

I agree, kudos to him. He actually stepped up to get much needed supplies. How many billionaires have billions tied up in their “charities and foundations”, yet haven’t stepped up to provide in this time of need. He contributed something quite useful right now.
It might be, but at least it will be utilized. It’s better than some useless donation stashed away for unknown purposes.

Karft, no way. It will be a charitable tax write off. Many thanks to his publicist who thought it up though.

Is picking a QB a good idea with a more than likely shortened offseason? No time to pick up the offense and no time to see him on the field.

I am with many others on Claypool. I don't think he will be there in the 3rd. He is what the WR room is missing. Red Zone threat.

I'd say we're set at this point with:
Diggs
Brown
Beasley
Duke
Foster
Roberts
If we go WR in the 2nd or 3rd, Foster is in for a battle. If that WR happens to be Shenault, then Roberts could be the odd man out.
I am still hoping for WR Claypool in the 3rd round to really solve the problem (injuries, special teams, etc.)

Wouldn't the transition tag be a better option?
He might be worth more to us than anyone else.

Golliday has proven he can play in the NFL (under a different system though). However just like rookies haven't proven they can play in the NFL yet, Golliday has not proven he will play hungry after a large contract.
There seems to be less risk in drafting a receiver in the first round. Control, financial flexibility, and character fit are all benefits to looking to the draft. Especially with this year's pool.
There are also other options out there for a #1b WR like Breshad Perriman who is a FA id you are not interested in using our #1 pick on a WR..

The CBA does not allow it. This feels like confusion between MLB rules vs NFL rules. A player has to be attached like in the Oswheiler deal.
This is the same as when posters suggest we trade someone away but agree to pay some of the salary. It does not fly in the NFL but does in baseball

I’ll be there for Wednesday’s practice. I’ll have a big write up on standouts and Pros and Cons on attendees.
Im excited to see the WRs. Last year I went it was obvious Deebo Samuel and Terry McClaurin were studs.
WRs there this year are Bryan Edwards, Michael Pittman, Denzel Mims, Brandon Aiyuk, Van Jefferson, James Proche and more....
Don't forget Claypool. I am eager to see him. He has the size, catch radius, and competitiveness the Bills are looking for. Just curious if he has the separation. It will be fun to see him catching from big armed QBs

In hindsight was trading Zay Jones (7 TDs with Josh last year) the right move? 3 catches for Foster all season and hardly put Duke on the field.
Could Zay have helped down the stretch?

Doesn't the narrative change if Duke Williams holds on to his two as well? You can't play what if and only discuss one side.
Those two throws by Josh were not good though.

He's made a few good tackles on special teams. Question you should ask is who replaces Foster as a gunner. Our special teams isn't very good in the 1st place. A big return can change the game.
We'll see what they do. I think Williams will get a chance. People have to remember though that Mckenzie is the 3rd WR on the team snap wise, not Foster. Mckenzie likely still plays his 50% or so of snaps. Does Williams get Mckenzies snaps? Probably not. So does it make sense to bench your gunner so Williams sits on the bench 85% of the offensive snaps?
Deandre Carter has only returned 3 kicks at home all year. Plus 22 punts for a 9.7 yd average. is there risk, sure, but we are going to need more from the #2 WR position to compete

no hes not playing because he can;t catch the football
I am new to the start Duke squad but how can you roll Robert Foster out at WR with 3 catches on 18 targets, FOR THE YEAR? How can any defense take him seriously. I know he plays an integral role on special teams but to compete with the top 6 teams in the AFC we are going to need more from that #2 WR position.
Isn't that worth the risk on Duke's hands?

I thought that regular season record didn't matter for playoffs teams in regards of the draft order. Isn't it based on how far you go in the playoffs?
I guess it has been so long I forgot that. ? Thanks for pointing it out.

By coincidence he is #86 on my board. I am glad someone else sees his ability as a zone corner. If we get him in the 4th or 5th I am even happier.
