I got a sense Bills did not even ask him about taking a cut - that is why it was a surprise to him. Guess the cap situation is such that they dont have even 4-5 mill for Brown. It is the mid-level squeeze.

His agent should have been in contact with the Bills, not waiting for the Bills to reach out.   Everyone could see the writing on the wall.  I would look at my own representation.   Not to offer a pay cut but at least ask about the Bills plans.

  2. Someone really needs to to take on the project of visually documenting that 1993 comeback crowd so those of us that were there have proof.   A slow mo compilation of the crowd in high def would be spectacular.   Maybe photos of the fence climbers as well.

I don't have the skills but I would love to see it.

  3. If they want to line up blitz and play man, go ahead.  I guess their corners are better than friendly offensive rules.   The data says our excels against this.  I expect a few more runs and a few more screens against their blitzes.  Also if they think are receiver routes are that predictable they are crazy.   Isn't Davis the deep threat in avg yds per reception?   Josh makes 30 yard throws look intermediate I guess.

The one comment I was hoping for was a Cam Newton comparison.  That one always guarantees victory.

    Bills 31-20

If you read it, that's not correct... Terry was close to just overruling and taking Mahomes at 10.  Good article btw.

I think you mean, if you BELIEVE it, that's not correct.   Just because he wrote it doesn't make it true.   Was Tyler Dunne in any draft meetings with Pegula, Whaley, and McD?

Knee jerk reaction time. Has McBeane and Co whiffed as badly on defensive talent as much as they seem to have on AJ Klein?

He’s got a 3 year 18 mil contract with 9.7 guaranteed and the only discernible highlight play he has made in hindsight was to not tackle Newton so he could get the ball punched out by Zimmer.

Not true, he also missed the previous third down tackle where he had the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage but allowed him to convert.   If he makes that tackle they kick the field goal and we probably go to OT.   So that is two highlight (lowlight?) plays.

Game balls for Zimmer.... and Klein? 🤣

  6. A lot of issues with his situation and the way he played.  But last night the refs stole his chance to lead his team back.   Surviving the NFL QB curve is one of the hardest things to do for any athlete in any sport.  Calls like that last night change lives, maybe his.

    Shhhhhhh! You'll trigger them.

Not to mention the Houston Astros. They get bean balls hurled at them.

    and the Red Sox!

It’s these things that everyone has known for years that amazes me that the NFL does nothing. The cheaters are so corrupt at every level of the organization, it would suck to have to be a fan of that team.

Unfortunately I think we are living in a sports world where it is socially accepted now.

Look, people laugh. But seriously, that was a big part of New England's success. They cheated in many different ways, and often. Everyone knows, and Manning was making everyone laugh uncomfortably because they know it is true.

What would have two more wins meant to a lot of seasons?   Not that we definitely would have won but it should have been a fair fight.

The Evil Axis Alliance (Krafty, Bellicheat and Br*dy) should be banned from Hall of Fame like Pete Rose is baseball's.

Charles Haley is on record saying he won't vote fro Brady.   Probably Belicheat too.   I hope he follows through.

Here is the book that supposedly tells it all.  Spygate by Bryan O'leary

  9. What is different is the IR designated to return rules.  It is now unlimited rather than just two and the wait time is only three games not eight.

So expect a lot of guys with soft tissue issues or other injuries to be IR'd rather than cut.   Possible IRs at FB and WR as well.

Do you remember watching McKenzie back there?  I want no part of that.

He was rough with the Bills but had some success in that role with the Broncos.  McKenzie also is the only guy moving on the snap and plays a huge role in keeping the DEs honest.   That being said the Bills I believe had the best kick return field position in the NFL last year.  That is due to Roberts IMO and should not be taken for granted.

  11. Wow, looks off the rails a bit so I will bring it back to Bills related at least.  Even though I have no idea of the event or the award I did meet two significant Bills when I was just a boy (only 47 now).

I met Reggie Mckenzie jogging around the ECC track on the Williamsville campus when I was in grade school.  He was jogging on a cinder track that was absolutely awful but stopped to talk with us and was very nice even in the middle of a jog.

Jim Braxton was also a little league coach in my Joe McCarthy Little League.   He was an all star coach of mine and I remember one game that we were all bouncing around like 11 year olds do before a game and he made us sit down and watch him eat.   Three or four whoppers engulfed in an instant.   He was a good coach and a good dad to Bubba and Justin.  He passed way too early and I heard OJ was there to take care of the kids financially when his blocking back passed away at an early age.

That was a walkthrough practice for the game they were then playing against each other.  This was some film crew working on some random content for the patriots website talking about scouts and what they do.

They're recording the sideline.. I guess you could get something from there that you couldn't from regular film?  Just seems like a lot of work to try and sync that with what is actually happening on the field.  All to see what, guys talking with clipboards in front of their faces?

It does not matter, it is against the rules.   Just because you or I don't know what to do with the tape doesn't mean the Patriots or an NFL staff doesn't.  I can't believe no one has brought up Belichek, at 67 years old, running up and down the 2019 Superbowl sidelines to make sure he was directly across from Sean McVay.  I don't know why Belicheck was running and up the sideline but I am sure it was for a reason if it was one minute before the Superbowl started.
