Your 2025 Democrat Party
The Frankish Reich replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Maybe a cautionary tale for all the other Republican 2028 hopefuls? Obama's Cult of Personality was not transferable to Hillary or Kamala. Or Biden, but that COVID year is looking like an outlier. Is Trump's Cult of Personality transferable to anyone else in the Republican Party? Republicans themselves seemed to say no when good candidates like DeSantis and Haley (and for hardline Evangelicals, Pence) failed to gain traction. We'll find out for sure in 2028. -
Good comment. The Bills are undoubtedly one of the best regular season teams. As you suggest, maybe that's because we're one of the most prepared (and typically, deepest) rosters. I'm not sure that our starting 22, all other things (injuries, etc) has ever been clearly the best starting 22 in the NFL. Other than those early Jacksonville/Houston losses, it's hard to argue that we lost to a weaker team.

United Health Care Exec Assassinated in NYC
The Frankish Reich replied to JFKjr's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah, first thing that came to mind when I saw a major health care CEO was assassinated: damn Obama does it again! -
Folks, admit it ... we have a great coach and an even better GM and an even better than that QB. I count 12 current Bills players who were on McD's first division champs in 2020: Allen, Milano, Knox, Dawkins, Oliver, Epenesa, Taron Johnson, Quinton Jefferson (left and came back), Cam Lewis, Reggie Gilliam, Reid Ferguson, Tyler Bass. And I guess Micah Hyde now. So 3/4 of the roster turns over in four years and the team doesn't miss a beat. That's what that great GM-HC-QB team will do for you. Six years ago what Bills fan could've dreamed of that?

Pete now: "I'm a changed man." Isn't that a concession that the general theme of him as an out-of-control hard drinking womanizing wild man (as recently as the late 2010s) is true? If not, what did he "change" from? They're in the scrambling to save his nomination phase. But others (Joni Ernst) want the job themselves and aren't about to go out on a limb for him. I give him a few more days as nominee.

I don't think a pro leaves his face exposed for a camera to pick up. -

Now where have I heard such a notion before? -
I'm sure if there had been a King Barack children's book you guys would've posted a million pics of it. Hero worship is always embarrassing, but The Kashophant takes it to a whole new level. By the way, look at what's hiding in plain sight: WWG1WGA! In an ostensibly children's book. I found QAnon and I didn't even have to look for it!

Supreme Court decisions.

It's an Equal Protection Clause challenge. You should read up on what that means. -
How many users are on your ignore list?

Oh, we're onto you now, big boy. ^^He seems to know a lot about how to override the performative "ignore." -

Haha. Q. How do you keep a moron in suspense? A. Post a reply to his comment and make him wait for someone to quote it. -

Exactly. Why be here if your sole purpose is to performatively "ignore" other posters? Kind of defeats the purpose of a forum, doesn't it... -

Three cheers for solipsism! I'm proud of you buddy. You should start more threads like this. or, If a forum poster ignores everyone else on the forum, does it make a sound? -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
The Frankish Reich replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, just to be fair, PFF's ratings of Rousseau this year: Overall: 8th out of 199 rated "edge defenders" Vs. Pass: 9th Vs. Run: 30th Overall grade of 88. That's right on the verge of "elite" by their method. So it's not like PFF doesn't appreciate exactly how good Rousseau has been ... -

Or this guy. https://www.wsj.com/politics/elections/trump-mulls-replacing-pete-hegseth-with-florida-gov-ron-desantis-8f682ad2?mod=WTRN_pos2&cx_testId=3&cx_testVariant=cx_168&cx_artPos=1 Ronnie has run a large state government effectively according to its electorate. He's run for president, and other than Trump suggesting he was a groomer in his short time as a teacher, he doesn't appear to have any skeletons in his closet. But he'd be improving his credentials for a 2028 run, so I imagine JD no like.

Find where I have posted a "soft on crime" or "soft on illegal immigration" item. Yes, I preferred the Democrat to win the presidency, but that has nothing to do with Biden's response to illegal immigration. I am not a single-issue voter. And unlike you, I do not conform my political opinions to whatever Donald John Trump happens to like/dislike this particular morning. Funny how quickly the cat eating craze ended. You would think the Haitian community would still be scouring the alleys of Springfield looking for their favorite delicacy.

President Biden pardons his son, Hunter.
The Frankish Reich replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It is the linked fate of Trump and Biden to be lumped together in the history books as the Trump-Biden-Trump Era, defined largely by COVID and its aftermath. -
Well, I don't know, but I suspect that if the two polar opposites are (A) no illegal immigration whatsoever over the last 40 years (Reagan's amnesty) vs. (B) the real-life situation, then (B) would clearly win. But from that we can't infer that the huge numbers we've seen in the last 6 years (yes, that includes Trump years, when the big surge started), if continued indefinitely, would result in a net gain to the economy. I would like to think that we as a country and as a government can think critically and rationally, rather than a gut reaction that's "whatever the last guy did, let's do the opposite." With emphasis on the "would like to think" ...
