  1. So far I'm seeing that the way to stop Kelce is to have a much smaller man bear hug him until Mahomes gives up. So much for that "KC gets all the calls" thing.
  2. Contrast of styles always makes for an interesting game.
  3. Yeah, I give up on that strategic rooting thing. Just glad that we have an actual entertaining game that I'm watching today.
  4. Agreed. I think they may have just found themselves their QB. Kind of worrying (looking ahead to the playoffs) that he seems to be getting it far quicker than most people assumed.
  5. Line: we hate PFF. I know, I know ... ... but here it completely agrees with my perceptions: - Dawkins: good (PFF rating in the low 70s) - Saffold: awful (PFF rating in the mid-40s). How is it that he's actually been worse than Feliciano was? I wasn't expecting that. But old is old. - Morse/Bates/Brown/Quessenberry: marginal/replacement level (low 60s) It's awfully hard to trade for an O lineman and fit him in during the season. But that's kind of the move they needed to at least try to make. There's no in-house help (Boettger? Really?). It was rough watching the Jets get pressure late in the game on every dropback with a pure 4-man rush. We better get used to it and try to scheme around it as best we can.
  6. I'd go with 80% garbage - Dawkins is generally solid.
  7. Bucs - Rams: this new low offense NFL sucks.
  8. Problem is the division is looking like it will not only be competitive, but actually good over the next few years. So we don’t get out Pats style 6 (or at least 5) easy wins every year.
  9. Agree. I knew he was good, but he’s an absolutely game changing player, week in, week out.
  10. What is your life expectancy? The social security tables say I’ve got 23 years but I’m taking the under on that.
  11. I will have to do a survey of: - the universe of boring white Democratic women senators and governors (no, not Hochul!) - the universe of black and hispanic Democratic senators and governors - and lest we forget: boring LGBTQ Democratic senators and governors - Jared Polis? My take: America wants boring!
  12. I completely agree. If I'm a Jets fan (wow, that's a disturbing thought), I'm still happy we got Wilson. He has the athleticism/arm to make that leap.
  13. I'm not sure I agree with the last part (about a minority candidate), but the likelihood that a white male other than Biden could make it through the primaries is pretty slim. I'm no DeSantis fan but he's smart, sane, young, and Machiavellian (Trump is only the last one), and probably would be able to actually govern in a reasonably effective manner.
  14. I agree. But … Trump almost certainly doesn’t.
  15. https://www.wsj.com/articles/elon-musk-says-twitter-has-had-massive-revenue-drop-11667573127?st=rdq3obi5s7p6gdm&reflink=article_copyURL_share So it turns out that you can run a content-moderated social media site and bring in a lot of money from advertisers, OR you can run a free-wheeling, anything goes social media site as a public service.
  16. Trump planning to announce shortly after Election Day? Let the fun begin! He will have to systematically take down any and every other potential nominee. That’s the only way he knows to play this game. The ass-kissing Ted Cruz of post-Trump 2016 nomination days? Gone. Welcome back “your dad was in with Oswald and your wife is ugly too.” And there’s so many, many more. Bring on the 🍿
  17. Right. There’s a difference between “none of your picks from that draft amounted to anything” and “I can’t believe they picked Sam Bowie ahead of Michael Jordan/Bradley Chubb ahead of Josh Allen.”
  18. Is this an either/or? Or am I allowed to raise you a Boobie Dixon?
  19. 2016 Bills draft has got to be in the Top 10 all-time bad drafts: Shaq Lawson Reggie Ragland Adolphus Washington Cardale Jones Jonathan Williams Kolby Listenbee Kevon Seymour
  20. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to check that out!
  21. And there’s your not-so-hidden agenda. It is important for you and your ilk to create alternative scenarios — even bizarre gay hooker pickup gone bad scenarios — to counteract the obvious fact that this guy was: (1) not all there mentally; AND (2) influenced by nutty QAnon conspiracy theories. I repeat: the gay hooker narrative seemed to emerge from a report that the attacker was in his underwear when the cops arrived. That’s it. (And I don’t know if that has been confirmed or refuted.) in some alternative universe there could be facts like “Pelosi was seen leaving a SF bar with a man fitting the description of the attacker and taking an Uber with him to Pelosi’s home.” OK, in that case, some speculation about the nature of the attack would be warranted. But we have nothing like that. Nothing. It’s an ass-covering story now by fringey MAGA/Q types who don’t want to admit that their wacko politics has a special appeal to the mentally ill. Because, you know, it’s effin crazy.
  22. This gay lover gone bad thing doesn’t even deserve the name “conspiracy theory.” There’s simply no facts to support it. None. And if it really was a weird gay lover spat, would they be charging the guy with attempted murder? And giving him the chance to put on a defense? If he hangs himself in jail, well, I guess you then have a starting point. Right now it’s just somebody saying “sometimes these kind of late night assaults come from disputes between a gay hooker and his client.” But some people can never accept that sometimes life is random and that not everything is part of a big conspiracy.
  23. Bump. D.U.M.B.S. causing earthquakes all over the place! Maybe a Bills Fan in NC can find a portal into the upside down to put an end to this. MY EARDRUMS ARE ABOUT TO BURST. sincerely, DRsLackey
