  1. Totally understand what you are saying, but it was 10 sacks. EDIT: I'm a moron, sorry.
  2. I go biking. Exercise, if you can get started, really does help with stress. I usually bike 13-23 miles 4-5 times a week. As a extra bonus I'm down 37 lbs since mid April.
  3. You of course have the right to your own opinion, just like I do. There's too much unknown about who is mad, and to what extent. A couple reports said Doug took Jerry aside to talk, and it was calm and looked to be resolved. The other part you said was Doug needed to earn a reputation, while this is true ( All coaches do), it's not necessary needed to win. You used Tom Coughlin an example. I chimed in on that because I have talked to Tom many times, though sometimes only briefly. He's from my hometown and pretty good friends with my uncle. He comes to town a couple times a year and usually stops by my uncle's house for a couple hours (and a few beers). Sometimes a lot of his childhood friends are there and I don't get to talk football with him, but sometimes only a few are there and I can. He says he was nervous as hell coming to Jacksonville especially being a 1st year expansion team, but he couldn't show it in front of his team. In his own words he was a mean SOB, hard as nails coach and THE PLAYERS HATED HIM. He had coached at RIT for a couple years to barely a .%500 record. He was an assistant Parcells and Head Coach at BC for 3 years. He didn't have a rep. He was in a tough situation with an expansion team and they were horrible the first year. H e stuck with his guns and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years went to the playoffs and two of those years went to the AFC championship game. Saw him in February and asked him about Doug. He said he reminded Tom of himself being a first time NFL Head Coach in a tough situation, trying to create the culture you want. Plus he said they both coached only a few years in college. He also said he knew Doug well and I quote " Have no doubt Doug will succeed with Buffalo, he's too good of a coach not to". I'm not trying to be a jerk here but I'm taking Tom's word on this one.
  4. A.) Knowing far too little maybe you shouldn't be reading between the lines. B.) Tom Coughlin was hired by the Jags in 1995 their first year. His hard ass approach got them to the playoffs in year 2,3, and 4. The latter they went to the AFC title game. Before that he was a college coach, sound familiar? I, for one, would take those results.
  5. It's Bills fans we're talking about. The team spiraled out of control back in February DUH!
  6. The biggest overreaction I've seen in awhile. Most people think this team is weak and timid year in and year out. It's about time we have a tough, physical team. Pampering them has not worked over the last several years. On top of that he told the team he didn't want to see any fighting and in the beginning of practice there was already scuffles breaking out. I, for one, welcome the change. Hoping your team goes 0-16? Doesn't sound like a fan to me. 19-0 BABY.
  7. Awesome! Hopefully the tests during the next week come back with as good of news as this.
  8. Thanks for the updates Astro. Sounds good so far.
  9. JF didn't look good tonight. I don't think he is ready to start in this league yet. He needs at least til week 8 IMO.
  10. The team can't see his eyes, how can he convey leadership with no eye contact.
  11. How do you know this? You don't even know who the new owner is, much less what he is thinking. What if they finish 9-7 or 10-6 and miss the playoffs. Bandit in another thread said if Pegs is the new owner Brandon, Whaley, and most likely Marrone are back regardless, and he usually knows what he is talking about.
  12. Glenn is back part participating in practice I was unaware of this.
  13. Didn't know you were the GM. I like him this way. He's 1 of only 32 people who have the title of Head Coach a NFL team, I have a hunch he's not losing sleep over your disapproval.
  14. I know Bandit, at that point I don't believe your a Bills fan anymore. Thanks for all the work you do, especially in the team sale thread. Between you, Kirby, Kelly the Dog, Yolo, and Astro (I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two, and I'm sorry) You guys keep the rest of us well informed and you guys make this a better forum. EDIT: I forgot 26CORNERBLITZ THANKS.
  15. Good for EJ, I would think everyone here would like to see at least a $10,000 donation. Thank you for bring something meaningful to the conversation.
  16. BUT, BUT, BUT HE'S NOT PEYTON MANNING, HE WEARS A VISOR, HE STARES DOWN RECEIVERS, HE HAS BAD BODY LANGUAGE, HE HAS SLOW EYES, HE'S DONATING $500 FOR EVERY TD (WHAT A CHEAPSKATE), HE SUCKS AT THE READ OPTION, HE DOESN'T HAND THE BALL OFF RIGHT, HE DOESN'T PUT HIS MOUTHPIECE IN ON RUN PLAYS, HE'S NOT ACCURATE, HE'S NOT BIG BEN, HE'S NOT BRADY, HE DOESN'T SHOW GOOD LEADERSHIP. Whew! I'm tired, I'm sure I forgot some but that was off the top of my head. EDIT: i REMEMBERED A FEW MORE, HE DOESN'T SLIDE, AND GETS INJURED TOO MUCH.
