  1. Terrific interview. Didn't realize Vince Williams is his older brother. The kid sounds incredibly grounded and truly excited to be playing in Buffalo.
  2. More glowing words for Eichel. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/iihf-world-championship-team-canada-usa-czech-eichel-ekblad-taylor-hall-crosby-kovalchuk-flyers/
  3. "Future Buffalo Sabres star and Boston University scoring legend Jack Eichel set up Torey Krug and Brock Nelson for the only two USA goals of the game. Eichel was sensational for the Americans. Eichel skated 23 shifts for a combined 16:44 TOI. Watching the 18 year old dominate late twenty and early thirty somethings with his sick skills, excellent skating, man's strength tells me that he is ready to star in the NHL next season. His shovel and dish work on the Nelson goal reminded me of John Tavares and Mike Modano. Seriously, he used his wheels and long reach to strip the puck then instinctively dish it to Nelson for the goal. You can't teach reach. Nor, can you teach fire, desire, and passion. Eichel is a beast. He will be a star in Buffalo for the next decade. All Tim Murray has to do now is put a proverbial ring on Eichel's finger. In due time. Right now, he's busy proving thst he can dominate games played by NHLers and other internatonal professional players. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/GARTHS-CORNER/Eichel-Shines-In-USA-Lopsided-Loss-To-Belarus/6/68484
  4. Eichel on why he is playing at the World's and what he will be doing in the days before the draft. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12832756
  5. I hope TT wins the job. He can run like the wind and in his introductory interview with John Murphy he kept stressing that he has spent the past four years behind Flacco perfecting his passing and planned on wowing the coaching staff with his arm. So far, it sounds as if he's succeeding.
  6. He had the best line ever when asked if he wished the team had squibbed kicked the ball that turned into the Music City Miracle. "Considering how things turned out, I pretty much wish we'd have done anything except what we did." Get well soon, Coach.
  7. Thanks, Jay. I know it's probably a lot of headaches, but I know I speak for many when I say "Thank You," for taking the job on.
  8. Obviously, they're still in denial over the Bryce Brown fumble versus KC - aren't we all?
  9. I never accused him, I just advised caution. And since when is a thread spiralling a bad thing? Best threads ever have all spiralled like a gyrograph on a tilt-a-whirl.
  10. Fair enough, the part that bothers me the most is that she was shot in the torso. If you're trying to murder someone and you're going to shot them up close, then aiming for the head or heart would seem to be the way it would be done. Again, I hope he is innocent, but I would proceed really cautiously.
  11. I hate to throw cold water on this whole thing, but I think the Bills, and every other team, need to proceed slowly and with extreme caution. The facts, as I understand them, are that the girl becomes pregnant and tells Collins that the baby might be his. He ends contact with her. Then, just days before he is set to get drafted in the 1st Rd and become an overnight multimillionaire, she answers a knock on her front door and is shot multiple times in the torso. She dies and later the baby dies also. Collins has an alibi that he is an hour away at a Pelicans NBA game.Does not mean that he didn't pay to have her shot. Now Occam's Razor would suggest that the guy that would have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support each year for 21 years is the most likely suspect for a murder that surely seems to have targeted the unborn child. It seems quite possible that Collins is the new Rae Carruth. Now, I hope he is innocent and the police completely put him in the clear, but until that happens I can't let myself start to dream on how he may solidify our line. Agree or disagree?
  12. Pretty amazing story of his rise from local factory worker to most respected boxing judge in the world. http://www.buffalonews.com/article/20040514/SPORTS/305149919

  14. Caddying for his gramps, The Golden Bear himself.
  15. Played with Rex's son at Clemson. I bet he is a sleeper that shines in camp.
  16. Jack Nicklaus' grandson. Let's hope we see the golfing legend in Rochester in August and at the Ralph in September.
  17. What, no Da'Rick Rogers-type this year? There goes the Super Bowl.
  18. I think it is very long odds that he makes the team. He always looks great in shorts, but can't stay healthy when the real bullets fly.
  19. Just a reminder, Jack Eichel and the USA squad play on Friday morning at 10'am on NBCSN (ch 220 on DirecTV) in their opening world's match.
  20. Interesting read. JD Williams sounds as if he has a good head on his shoulders and has had a great post-NFL life and career. Imagine if the Bills had take Emmit instead (he went one pick later), a dual-threat of Thurman and Emmit would have been insane. BTW, I think you would have been fine putting this topic on the main board for a bigger audience.
  21. BTW, the first Pickleball courts are opening in Buffalo. It seems that a bunch of snowbirds brought the game back with them from Florida.
