  1. Who says we draft the 3rd QB off the board? I expect Trubisky to go top 5 and Mahomes to be sitting there at 10. I rank Mahomes as QB 1 in this draft so I take him.
  2. It feels like we just hired Dick Jauron. McDermott is now in control and the future looks bleak. And yes, every time Tyrod throws an incomplete pass on 3rd down and the Bills punt that is also a turnover. Fans just latch onto whatever numbers they can to prove Tyrod is more than a bottom 5 starter.
  3. There definitely is a lower floor than Matt Ryan but I don't get where you then assume he doesn't hit potential. If he goes to Kyle Shanahan he will look a lot closer to his ceiling than floor.
  4. His upside is closer to Matt Ryan. I would expect Trubisky to be gone top 5.
  5. Exactly. Rex was terrible but the roster got worse and star players got older or left on defense. We are not going back to 2014 next year.
  6. Absolutely. If the Bills decided to boost roster I would rather have Solomon over a second tight end.
  7. No, Bills fans want another tight end that Tyrod won't throw to.
  8. The Tyrod crew doesn't want to move on. They would rather settle for another 6-10, 7-9 finish.
  9. Good college QB's don't necessarily make great NFL QB's. Different skill sets. Tim Tebow was an incredible college QB but could not play at the NFL level.
  10. Some Bills fans want a #2 TE with the pick. Just another year.
  11. I just talked to the person who told me he loved Dak Prescott last year. He loves Mahomes so much he would still draft him if he already had Dak.
  12. I get it. You don't want anyone challenging Tyrod. Well, the Buffalo Bills were ready to walk away and had no plan to pick up the option. You might be happy using other team's QB scraps but many Bills fans want excellence at the position.
  13. Great piece from that Chargers article In the excellent book 'Take Your Eye Off The Ball' by Pat Kirwan, he makes the point that, as much as a quarterback wants to step into his throw, most of the time that isn't possible. Instead, the QB will have to make do with the situation given to them - a compromised pocket - and have to throw it from all sorts of positions and angles. Dan Marino says that "if I worked out a QB for an NFL team, he'd have to show me 100 throws off his back foot."
  14. My fear is that McDermott is now as empowered as Rex was. I want a real GM, not a guy that give tips to the marketing and coaching staff on players. If McDermott gets to decide on his QB will he want to draft one with a top ten pick? History says no. Most of these coaches think short term. They could care less about drafting a guy that could turn around a franchise if that guy hits his peak after they are gone. I don't want my coach driving the train on personnel. Think of Marv Levy as GM. Filling needs for positions that year like Donte Whitner and John Mccargo.
  15. EJ might have had the ability to be an NFL backup but after 4 years of Bills "coaching" he will have a hard time gaining a roster spot.
  16. Hearing about how great our new coach is while the front office continues to beg for QB scraps from other teams is tiring. I just can't buy in to what is the same failed plan.
  17. Drafting a tight end with a top ten pick with a QB just brought back who can't throw to the tight end currently on the team and ignoring the QB position again would be the Billsy thing to do.
  18. The Patriots are that guy that reads the rule book before playing the board game. Most people never attempt it.
  19. Um, no. Bledsoe was very smart. He just had crap pocket presence.
  20. He was pretty good for a while. Don't know what happened but let's see if we sign him.
  21. I'll take Lorenzo Alexander on my team anytime. Wish we had more like him.
  22. It's also why I think Mahomes mechanics gets too much criticism. He has such a ridiculous arm that he can fire the ball faster than guys stepping in to their throws textbook while Mahomes is throwing off his back foot. Cardale Jones threw the ball 53 MPH from his knees. That is scary that a QB stepping into his throws can't hit that.
  23. Whaley also brought Jordan Mills. Not saying he can't play but I would love to hear the reasoning. When the Bills mentioned Seymour had vision problems it made them look like they found a bargain.
  24. Benjamin Allbright‏Verified account @AllbrightNFL Follow More For combine velocity measurement for QBs remember this. Over 55 mph doesnt guarantee success, but under it pretty much guarantees failure
