  1. There are plenty of pieces for a QB. We spent 2 #1 picks on WR, spent $$ on TE, have a top 3 RB, a top NFL rushing attack.
  2. The NFL is a fast paced league. If we draft a WR but no QB that just replaces Sammy with a lesser player as Sammy will have no desire to spend his entire career here with no QB. There's a reason why Patriots are adding and we are spinning our wheels. You need the QB in place to attract key coaches and players. If he is here next year he will have taken another paycut and Sean the Wrestler will be fired next year after 2 years of no playoffs.
  3. And our QB is not designed for RAC. He doesn't throw bread and butter passing plays like slants.
  4. I want my team to have higher standards. I want to win a Superbowl. How does drafting pieces around Tyrod help win a Superbowl? It does nothing but spin our wheels for a few years. I am sick of punting on QB. Build a champion. And if Sean the Wrestler and Doug don't have the stones get them out of here and hire someone with a vision and a plan.
  5. The only QB I like late in the draft is Dobbs. Kelly doesn't look like he will be drafted because of the injuries on top of the other issues. If he wants to come here as a FA fine. Tyrod is not entrenched into anything. Bills again gave themselves a 1 year out. Why do they keep signing Tyrod to one year deals? If he is as great as people think why can't he get a longer contract than 1 year?
  6. Tyrod got a 15.
  7. I disagree with your percentages. Peterman doesn't even have a 20 percent chance at starting, let alone being better than that.
  8. I'll take Bill Belichick making the final call over the Bills and their group drafts. One wins Superbowls while the Bills are almost 20 years with no playoff appearances.
  9. The point was he was a franchise QB that we passed on. Shouldn't a front office that passes on franchise QB's when there is none on the team be held accountable?
  10. You get Derek Carr and QB's like him in the draft. Bills refuse to spend high draft picks on QB's and instead go dumpster diving for other team's backups. Bills could have drafted Derek Carr in 2014 but instead spent 2 1st round picks on a WR.
  11. Explain how Oakland won 12 games with a worse defense.
  12. When the owner of the team can't say who has final call in the draft room you know your team is in deep trouble.
  13. Yes, I think all of this has been hashed out in the Tyrod Highlights thread. My biggest fear is we will be having the same conversation next off-season. It's a nightmare and we can't wake up from it!
  14. The Patriots don't care about a player's value to your team. They care about how the player fits in THEIR offense.
  15. And why do they rely on the run? Tyrod has had two different coordinators and neither had any desire to put the ball in Tyrod's hands as a passer. Roman talked about opening up the offense after 2015 and he got fired after 2 games in 2016. Lynn smartly simplified the offense and kept the ball out of Tyrod's hands as a passer. When Tyrod was forced to throw the ball in close games or in the 4th quarter we all saw the results. Not pretty. if Dennison tries to pass the ball too much with Tyrod he will be the next out the door.
  16. I don't care about Tyrod. He's not good at passing the ball and he needs to be replaced. Building around Tyrod is as dumb an idea as building around Fitzpatrick. They are QB's that should be bridges to someone better.
  17. He just defended resigning Tyrod Taylor and trying to build around him. Not even close to harsh criticism of another stupid idea from Bills management. Again, this column is the ultimate in short term tactics over long range planning. Seems he is right in the Bills wheelhouse because this is how they operate every year.
  18. Another Bills follower who has Stockholm Syndrome with respect to Bills management.
  19. That's not how the Patriots operate. They spent a 3rd round pick because they see Brissett as someone that could operate their complex passing offense and be a good backup now with the potential for more.
  20. Yes, I hate seeing them lose. That's why I hope they start flying right. But I've been waiting for a long time. If we're going to have a bad year I will feel much better if we have a young QB with potential who can play. Otherwise, this can be a very dark year. Nothing is worse than a bad team that doesn't know they are a bad team and my worst case scenario is that our management team is way in over their head.
  21. For sure. That's what this board is for. It would be boring if we all thought the same thing.
  22. Benoit was completely convinced and he is a film nerd. He said if Bills take a CB it's because the value was too high to pass up. So if they have Lattimore at 4th overall and he drops to 10 they could still take him. It seems to me that the high draft picks and money will be spent on defensive line and the mike linebacker. I don't think Ragland is going to be the mike.
