  1. Training camp? Fact. There has never been 15,000 people at a single training camp session. Sabres #1 talent pool in the NHL? Fact. http://www.hockeysfuture.com/team-rankings/ http://www.si.com/nhl/2014/07/07/top-five-systems EJ being an NFL QB? He is one. Just not a good one. And that is my opinion...as it is many others. He ranks maybe 27th out of 32 NFL QB's. You think you won an argument with opinions...not facts. You also fail to recognize who started the name calling and "f-bombs" first. Didn't realize this was a middle-school d*ck measuring contest here. Because people who don't like the sport, can't understand the sport, or could never play the sport for whatever reason...say they shouldn't.
  2. Dude, don't "drop an f-bomb," when you start to make too much sense and prove these fools wrong...someone's panties might get in a bunch on a message board.
  3. So, was that your point...or were you complaining about the fact they were talking about development camp this week in the first hour today? Yes, you should explain...because there is a HUGE difference between those two. Plus, you brought this all on yourself...so you should have to explain yourself when making such an outlandish comment. Yes, first round picks in the NHL are third rate athletes..."genius." Also, when the Buffalo Bills become relevant in the NFL and earn some media attention, maybe they'll get it. And when the Sabres open training camp in September...they won't be able to talk about it because the NFL will be in season, huh?
  4. I go to every single night practice and I can usually get tickets just days before, if not that day. There is no chance that 15,000 people would show up for training camp. Nor do the Buffalo Bills have the #1 talent pool in their league...like the Buffalo Sabres have with their prospects. Maybe when they start to become relevant again, or if EJ Manuel becomes an NFL QB...that will change...until then, it doesn't. They do limit tickets, and for August 18th you could get 2 tickets...but they gave me 9 of them...because there's so many extras.
  5. No, he was referring to anybody not agreeing with you as being "moronic." Your opinion is your opinion and I welcome it. However, the Sabres ARE IN CAMP, no matter what the camp is, they are in camp...whereas the Bills simply ARE NOT, they JUST arrived. I don't understand how you cannot see the difference? Nor can I understand how you cannot understand Buffalo is a HUGE hockey market? Some of the best players in the NHL are from this area...Patrick Kane, Dustin Brown, Ryan Callahan, Brian Gionta...and plenty more. They are moving the scouting combine from Toronto to Buffalo. They are having World Junior Championships in Buffalo. They are having the All-Americans Prospect's game in Buffalo. They are not having anything other than Buffalo Bills football games in Buffalo. Buffalo is a hockey market first and foremost...kids grow up wanting to play hockey, not football. (And NONE of this is even my opinion...it is a fact. I love football. It's always been my #1 sport...but you cannot argue hockey in Buffalo, NY!) And again, the simplest fact of them all? The Sabres have been more relavent in 15 years than the Bills have...you cannot debate that, it's a fact.
  6. You're a "moron" too...THE SABRES ARE IN CAMP...THE BILLS ARE NOT!!! How f*cking hard is this to understand, holy sh*t! Not to mention the Buffalo Sabres have been twice as relevant as the Buffalo Bills have in the past 15 years...that's a FACT.
  7. Because zero other teams have the amount of talent in their development camp like Buffalo does...nor did 10,000+ people show up to their scrimmage. Which, it has actually been reported as closer to 15,000 (which I thought it was from being there)...and that's more than some NHL regular season games get in other cities! Also...the thought of Connor McDavid getting drafted by the Buffalo Sabres is more exciting than ANYTHING the Buffalo Bills are doing right now! If you don't like it, don't listen and find something else...it's really THAT simple. And yes, IN JULY...when the Sabres have actually been in camp, and the Bills have not. *gasp* Why? Because that's YOUR opinion?
  8. Well, your opinion is nice and all...but you couldn't be more uninformed and misguided. The Sabres just finished development camp with 7 1st round picks in attendance. Buffalo also placed 3rd in TV ratings for the Stanley Cup playoffs, while the team was dead last in the league. So, while you might not like hockey...there are plenty more than you that do. Not to mention, while we might be in the USA...you're in a hockey market. And while they dedicated a half an hour to talk about the 3-on-3 tournament at Sabres camp today...they've spent 1+ hours on the Bills REPORTING to camp. That is the difference...the Sabres ARE IN CAMP...the Bills ARE REPORTING FOR CAMP. Plus, I am sick of hearing about how good the Bills look with no pads on...they need to go out and prove themselves for once. Whereas the Sabres have the #1 prospect pool in the NHL, who will be the future, and they are already looking to prove themselves. One is far more interesting than the other. PS. There were 10,000 people at a PROSPECT SCRIMMAGE...does training camp get that many people on one day? I doubt it.
  9. I did not see this posted anywhere, so I wanted to gauge your opinion on Joe's list... http://www.wgr550.co....php?pid=415417 Bills Top 20 Talents: 20) TE Scott Chandler 19) CB Leodis McKelvin 18) QB EJ Manuel 17) DE Manny Lawson 16) LB Brandon Spikes 15) WR Mike Williams 14) CB Nickell Robey 13) C Eric Wood 12) HB Fred Jackson 11) DE Jerry Hughes 10) CB Stephon Gilmore 9) WR Robert Woods 8) S Aaron Williams 7) LT Cordy Glenn 6) DE Mario Williams 5) LB Kiko Alonso 4) DT Kyle Williams 3) HB C.J. Spiller 2) WR Sammy Watkins 1) DT Marcell Dareus So, what do you all think about this list? I personally cannot wrap my head around Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus being better "talents" than Mario Williams. I also cannot understand why he would put Nickell Robey ahead of Leodis McKelvin, again, as a better "talent." Other than that, I think it's alright...what do you all think about it?
  10. I feel the same way, and have said so numerous times...I'd much rather keep Kevin Elliott over Chris Hogan. Chris Hogan couldn't make the Miami Dolphins squad when they had Brian Hartline as a #1 WR and nothing else on the depth chart. He stays open like "7/11" because he is not a threat. I also recall him dropping a wide open pass in a game last year, or running the wrong route. There is nothing about him that screams "NFL WR" to me, but Elliott has all the tools and the size. I don't like keeping a WR only because of special teams, he needs to contribute elsewhere too. I'd rather keep Graham, a draft pick, for another year to see if he can step up his game, than waste a roster spot on Chris Hogan because he has a cool nickname. Half of them were never expected to be much of anything, especially Ruvell Martin! Lol. But, don't forget Ramses Barden...who people thought eliminated the need to draft a Mike Evans or Eric Ebron in the 1st round this year. He probably won't even make it to the final cuts. (Da'Rick Rogers is the ONLY one out of all of them that I EVER had ANY hope for...and he is better than all of them already.)
  11. I was one of the few who did not want to cut, trade, bench him when he was struggling. (Better put, I didn't think he was a bust.) I think he has the potential to be great...Gilmore and McKelvin could become an elite shutdown pair of CB's too. If these things happen...this could be a secondary on par with Seattle's. (One analyst already said by next year the debate will be Revis, Sherman or Gilmore?)
  12. So, I ran into the same problem today...called them around 2pm and a box showed up on my doorstep around 3pm. In the box were 2 Bills hats, 9 tickets and a letter that read... "Sorry again for the inconvenience with Buffalo Bills tickets. I have included 8 tickets for you and your guests. I also threw in an extra ticket so your Father can be there with you in spirit. Enjoy camp and here's to a great season!" The gesture left me speechless, I couldn't believe it...John Slaven at Dunn Tire in Buffalo made my day today! (He asked how old I was and how long I've been a Bills fan, that is how he knew about my Father passing away.) The strange part? I live out in Canandaigua, an hour-plus away from Buffalo and this specific Dunn Tire location.
  13. It's all good and fun, but with all due respect...those three combined won't have half the impact Lebron has on his team and community. And as far as Patrick Kane, after seeing this...there's no doubt in my mind that if Chicago starts to slip, he demands a trade "home," especially if they end up with McDavid. And as we have seen in all sports, these teams cannot stay good forever...it goes in cycles...the good will be bad and the bad will be good.
  14. So, is Mike Williams our Lebron James?
  15. Mike Florio seems to have it out for Buffalo...his tone about the sale of the team, amongst other things, is downright hateful. This is the guy who had a hissy-fit about not being the "source" who was acknowledged with some 49ers news, maybe Harbaugh's status. Take it with a grain of salt. This is the last outlet that should be cited as a "credible source." It's no different than Bleacher Report. That's another tool who never seems to have a clue as to what he's talking about. Plus, who in the world would PAY MONEY to read that garbage? It's pathetic...you get better information here, in my opinion.
  16. Weren't the starting linebackers Alonso, Spikes and Rivers, to begin with? Who is the other LB if Rivers is "next man up?" And, again...Preston Brown is the last LB I want starting on the outside. He is a tank and not that fast/athletic. I will still stand on my prediction that Bradham takes whatever spot he is given a chance to take, and has a breakout season. There is nobody out there, and whomever is out there...31 other teams don't want them either.
  17. No, wait and see if they become free agents. We have enough "potential" at those positions anyways. Plus, even if it is a 6th or 7th round pick, that is what we picked Mike Williams up for...so those picks can acquire NFL-ready players if need be. EDIT:I do like the RB, DT and LB...but, again, I would rather not spend a draft pick on them, no matter the cost.
  18. Lawrence Okoye has never suited up for an NFL team, in an NFL game...he wasn't even signed by a team when he competed in the Olympics. But, Marquise Goodwin competing in the Olympics would be pretty cool...imagine him wearing a Bills logo on his suit? World-wide promotion. As far as being a football player, I love Goodwin. I saw him climb a ladder and snatch the ball from a 6-1 CB last year, and "Flash" made the guy look like a high school player. He is tough as nails too. I expect him to take a huge leap this year, but they need to get him the ball. On a side note...didn't I read this same article after he was drafted? I swear it was on SI.com...and spoke of both sports? EDIT: I'm a dummy, I found the one I was thinking of...worth a read if you haven't read it yet. http://www.sbnation.com/longform/2013/8/15/4621408/marquise-goodwin-buffalo-bills-texas-longhorns-olympians-nfl
  19. Thanks. I do expect the light to go on, if it hasn't already. He is the prototypical OLB and has a chance to earn himself a starting role, not only this year, but the other OLB spot is still up for grabs for the future, as Keith Rivers is not a long-term solution. He honestly reminds me of one of my all-time favorite college players, Vontaze Burfict...but a tad bit bigger, and much faster. (Man, I would LOVE to have a LB corps of Bradham - Spikes/Burfict - Alonso...that would be incredible.) Anyways...I think he steps out this year in a big way, I honestly do...and I think we start to see it in training camp. But, the coaching staff NEEDS to give him a fair shot...Preston Brown should NOT be an OLB ahead of Nigel Bradham, in ANY scenario. If they give him a chance and a decent amount of starter's reps in camp, I have no doubt that this kid will take the opportunity and run with it. He also reminds me of a former Schwartz OLB, in Deandre Levy...a little bigger, very athletic, good speed, decent in coverage, takes on blockers, etc. It all comes down to how he performs in camp and how the coaching staff uses him...but no doubt, it's his time to shine or bust.
  20. I'm far from angry or arrogant, I just call a spade a spade and tell it how it is...nonetheless, I understand your point. I'll keep the opinions to myself from now on, and I apologize if my comment was taken out of context and offended anybody who thought it was directed at them.
  21. Lmao. Eat poop, Cleveland, eat some f ing poop! <---Mike Pettine doesn't want to eat poop. <---Donte Whitner just ate poop! <---Josh Gordon realizes he is making everyone in Cleveland eat poop. <---Jimmy Haslem just ate poop out of a Flying J restroom after he realized all his employees in Cleveland are eating poop. <---The NFL just realized they put a poop eating franchise named the "Browns," in the city of Cleveland...instead of the city of Los Angeles. <---Browns fans when they realize everything about their team is poop. Poop's all gone... No poop in Buffalo, NY!
  22. Thanks for acknowledging it! lol. I usually don't speak out unless I know what I am talking about and have done my research. I felt this was a perfect opportunity to completely destroy the OP's credibility and absurd thread...I thought it would end there, but I thought wrong! (Kind of like the guy who has been arguing with me that Steve Ott is a better option for the Sabres than Cody McCormick, "because he scores more goals"...but last year, McCormick's shooting % was like 17% and Ott's was 11%...where do people come up with this stuff? He also argues with me that Kevin Porter needs to play in Buffalo and not Rochester...but Kevin Porter signed with Detroit 4 days ago! Lmao. It blows my mind sometimes. That's not even the tip of the iceberg...he commented "they need to send down Girgensons," and that is where I ended the conversation. Sorry for Sabres talk in a Bills forum...but it just goes to show how stupid some people can be.)
  23. Why are people wanting Preston Brown to be an OLB? He is 6-1, 261 lbs, and has been a MLB his entire life...he is not an OLB. Nigel Bradham, Ty Powell or Manny Lawson will man the vacant spot opposite Keith Rivers. Read these and please explain why you think Preston Brown should be the OLB, and not Nigel Bradham? Preston Brown combine report - http://www.nfl.com/c...rown?id=2543814 Nigel Bradham combine report - http://www.nfl.com/c...dham?id=2532800 Conclusion? Nigel Bradham is much more suited to be an OLB who can cover space, and Preston Brown is much more suited to be a MLB who plays in the box.
  24. I cannot figure out how to upload the picture I sent out to Whitner, Talley and Aaron Williams... Whitner made a comment, "I do work," and I sent along a combination of these 2 pictures, saying..."Yeah, he does work...like this!" #1 - http://www4.pictures...rv4FSqIQvbl.jpg #2 - http://www2.pictures...E8ykqFxjhOl.jpg (And then...Donte Whitner blocked me! lmfao.)
  25. Really? He wasn't even the biggest producer last year, as that was Scott Chandler. Stevie Johnson's yards from scrimmage the last 3 years = 2,657 CJ Spiller's yards from scrimmage the last 3 years = 3,651 Fred Jackson's yards from scrimmage the last 3 years = 3,307 Scott Chandler's yards from scrimmage the last 3 years = 1,615 So, not only was he out-produced by Scott Chandler last year...but, in 3 years, Stevie only has 1,042 more yards than Chandler. (That is as far as I got reading, as I stopped right after seeing that...because like the tree trunk, your credibility became "dead.") And then I tried to continue to read the rest, and give you the benefit of doubt...but my head was nearly ready to explode. You fail to mention how we brought in 2 very solid running backs, one who is young and has proven he is a homerun threat, in Brown. You also fail to mention how we brought in Anthony Dixon and Corey Graham, two excellent special team players. And then you go on to say Dareus is our best defensive lineman, failing to recognize the 3 who had double-digit sacks last year. How in the world could ANYBODY take you seriously with this non-sense? It is absolutely brutal to try and read your post and make sense of it. ps. Thank you for making my July 4th somewhat comical...I at least owe you that much...but your glass is not "half empty," it has shattered into a million pieces.
