Playoffs?

No one cares about reputation anymore. It’s about winning… and that’s all.

Not anymore… we have some big boys that just joined our roster… so that we can’t be pushed around. I’m not saying we’re gonna win the cup this season… but why do you expect the Sabres roster to struggle in future seasons? Sometimes guys just click. What if we’re seeing the beginning of something? I was as skeptical as anyone at first… but 30+ games isn’t a fluke anymore, and the game against Tampa solidified that for me. This team has found something special. If this core can remain together and stay healthy, who says they can’t be a top contender going forward?

Maybe a little bit. Maybe a little that they look stupid. But wonder how much is a ‘tough guy’ mentality too… like “I don’t wanna be the one guy that appears to be the wimp.” I think you’ll need to see a big movement before more guys start wearing them. I think about hockey too. No one is wearing neck guards or full shields. And up until not too long ago, dudes didn’t even wear helmets! Absolutely insane… but everyone wants to be the tough guy. It’s like a badge of honor to get your face destroyed. But could be a death wish too.

I love Josh Allen and the Bills as much as anyone in the world… but with all due respect, these stats and accomplishments don’t mean much anymore. We know how good Josh is. We know he’ll be a hall of famer. But unfortunately he could have the best stats ever known to man… and if we don’t win a Super Bowl, he’ll go down as an amazing QB that couldn’t get the job done.. whether it’s fair or not. It’s like we need to keep reminding ourselves and others how good Josh is... but truly, all that matters at this point is a Super Bowl. It’s the only accomplishment he hasn’t had, and it’s far and away the most important one. It’s time. Go all in.

Agree the Bills will be the heart and soul of Buffalo… but if the Sabres can continue this run, and make their way back to being relevant, I don’t see an NBA team upending them. Buffalo is a football and hockey town… But wouldn’t that be something if we brought in an NBA team and quickly won a national championship?

Based on those options, I’d go for Brian Thomas Jr AND Marvin Harrison Jr. But can we trade Keon twice?

This is true. The Bills live and die by Allen. If he has a good game, we win. If he has a bad game, we lose. It’s not fair to him. While he is the most important player, he is one player, and he needs a team to bail him out sometimes. Darnold was NOT good in that Super Bowl game. But his D bailed him out and they won. Maye was atrocious for the entire playoffs, but their D kept them moving along. Josh needs to be allowed to have a bad game here and there, and still win. When was the last time that happened?

Haha someone got it right the other day when they said his ceiling is Derek Carr and his floor is Derek Carr… or something like that.

I keep thinking about the Cooks catch/interception. Cooks looked defeated when he got up. Meanwhile, the Broncos defender was celebrating that he had the ball. I truly believe the ref had no idea what happened, saw the reactions, and ruled in favor of Denver on the spot. I wonder what would’ve happened if Cooks got up and sold his catch a little better…. Signaled for a catch and that he was down… got a little loud with the ref to influence him the right way…

Any word on Vrabel’s postgame? Curious what he whines about after that disaster.
